Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Islamic Terrorism is one of the greatest threats to the safety of our citizens here at home and abroad and to the life of our nation based on Constitutional law and liberty. We must be willing to send our police and military anywhere it is necessary to stamp out the threat to our safety within the borders of our country or anywhere in the world that threat manifests itself against us. Our government and leaders must be willing and quick to identify and speak out against this threat without delay or fear. We must be willing to back our words with action. We must secure and guard our borders carefully.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
We live in a fallen world and our nature is subject to corruption. Only God is perfect. Mans nature cannot be fully trusted personally or in Government. Therefore to protect us from the tyranny of an all powerful government, which can abuse that power, we have checks and balances between branches of government checking each other and US Constitution based law to protect individual rights.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was born again and committed my life to Christ in 1978, 40 years ago. My life is committed totally to love, obey and serve Christ. My obedience to Christ, His Word and His principles comes before, my own life, My marriage, my family, my country. Because I trust in Him and obey him first, i can trust myself to be faithful to wife, family, church, job and nation. I am eternally committed to Christ without compromise unto death.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Most can be found on our Web site, cam4congress.com. you can also check our record while in the Hawaii legislature. you can go on line and see our history established in previous campaigns and actions in the public.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I would promote the deregulation of the health care industry allowing for innovation and discovery and new solutions with out government hindrance. I would promote open and interstate sharing of healthcare and medical information and solutions. i would allow pools such as Medishare. I would allow for natural and alternate medications and vitamins. I would require government to guard against abuse and fraud and protection of freedom of choice in medication and treatment and the free transmission of knowledge and research and solutions. I would encourage the involvement of churches and non profits in the care for widow and orphans and the elderly that cannot take care of themselves. A return to competition in healthcare will benefit doctors, clinics, hospitals and, most of all, patients.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
It should protect competition and righteous law abiding commerce and trade for businesses and consumers. it should protect transparency and accuracy of measurements and weights and the free exchange of ideas. Government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers, not be guilty of any but the most necessary and limited regulation. Reducing taxes on large and small business, and removing burdensome regulation will boost the economy.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
Simplify, simplify, simplify. Further, individual, corporate and small businesses taxes should be reduced. The estate tax should be eliminated.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Reducing taxes and regulations on small and large businesses creates growth and builds jobs and higher wages. Further, across the board tax cuts increases wealthy investment, again resulting in higher wages and lower unemployment.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
We must out Social Security funds in a lockbox and not allow Congress to access funds for other purposes. Further, we should extend the age for receiving full social security to 70 and allow every tax payer the right to manage their own Social Security investment funds.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My public school education provides me with a unique understanding of the people of Hawaii not obtainable by the elite schooling of my opponent. I hold a BA from University of Colorado, but have learned so much more from my business experience that is far more applicable: I started my first business, a lemonade stand, at age 6, started a construction business at 14, and have created business, and financial worth (I am now a Financial Advisor at Mass Mutual) all my life. Through this experience, as well as my community involvement and three terms served in the Hawaii legislature make me more than qualified to know, understand and serve the people of my district.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
We are running a sophisticated social media/internet campaign that stretches every dollar to the fullest. If we can achieve this shocking, but absolutely doable upset of a Democrat in deep blue Hawaii it will rock the Democrats to the core. Further, as Hawaii's first Republican Congressman in decades I will have a unique and powerful position in Washington and, at long last, provide a reasonable voice that will be heard in the White House, the Administration and Congress. The window is open to send a Hawaiian Republican to Congress. I ask everyone to please kokua -- please help -- make this happen.
