QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
When the mother's life is in danger as determined by a physician
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. The relationship should be very limited. The church and its members should pray fervently for our elected leaders. The government should not intervene in church business.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C: I will not rule out intervention in compelling cases, but it should be very limited.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Secure the border. Continue to improve communication between intelligence agencies. Keep known terrorists at GITMO. Ensure America is energy independent and not reliant on bad actors overseas. Promote religious freedom in Islamic countries.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
I land between C and D. Government provided health insurance is a big cause of our debt and is bankrupting America. Reform is necessary. Government insurance distorts the marketplace and, because of below-market rate reimbursement rates, drives up the cost of private insurance and provides substandard care. Many doctors refuse to even serve Medicaid and/or Medicare patients. Instead of third-party payor, health care should be transitioned as much as possible into a first-party payor system, so consumers make cost-conscious decisions. There is a role for temporary assistance for people, but too often it has become a permanent insurance solution. I believe the success of Medicaid should be measured by how few people need it, instead of how many it insurers. Medicare should likewise be transitioned into a first-party payer system.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Lower and flatter rates.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Foreigners who follow the rules (legally immigrate) who demonstrate allegiance to the United States and a willingness to assimilate and be productive members of society earn the right to enter the United States, in reasonable numbers.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I strongly back the Second Amendment, and oppose any laws interfering with gun ownership. No one should have their Second Amendment rights abridged without strict due process. Government agencies (like the CDC) should be prohibited from using taxpayer resources to advocate for gun control. I support national concealed carry reciprocity legislation.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
In the face of Democrats' iron grip over Colorado, I have an unparalleled record of conservative successes: (1) Led the effort to make my county a Second Amendment sanctuary from liberal anti-gun laws, (2) Made my county a sanctuary from pandemic era lockdowns and mandates issued by our liberal Governor and bureaucrats, (3) Led the effort to make Weld County -- a large county -- debt free, the only such county in Colorado, (4) I was Colorado Christian University's Faith, Family and Freedom Award winner in 2021 for my pro-life and pro-family leadership, (5) I was the only candidate for Colorado's 8th Congressional District to speak at the Denver March for Life Rally in 2022, (6) I have taken American for Tax Reform's Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe Jesus is my personal savior. I am a member of a Catholic church.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I was greatly troubled by the changes in rules and voting procedures legitimized by certain judges in 2020. Voting rules should be established well in advance of an election and strictly enforced. I support voter ID.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
While there are still cases of racism -- which should of course be condemned -- the reality is America is the most diverse, tolerant, and welcoming country in the world. That's why most of the people who try to immigrate to America are people of color. I am greatly troubled that in recent years our country seems to have taken steps backward. Woke liberals judge whether people are good or evil based on what they look like (e.g., their skin color). This is completely contrary to Martin Luther King's dream of judging people by the content of their character instead of the color of their skin.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A
