With 17,000 government employees and a budget that has grown to 9.5 billion, the risk for Fraud Waste and Abuse is strong. Therefore: 1) Identify where Risk exists - conduct research and add information technology auditors to the office 2) Advocate for empowering the Auditor's Office by presenting a case for enabling the office to audit private recipients of State funds. This is law in neighboring Massachusetts. 3) Focus on financial audits and eliminate unproductive investigative reports

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The First Amendment protects the right to religious observation free of government interference. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
All of the above are illogical ideas. Medicare and Medicaid are great programs. They should be protected. The State Auditor helps ensure CMS guidelines are followed for the proper administration of Medicare and Medicaid and looks for fraud, waste, and Abuse.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

The office of the State Auditor shall not let laws enacted properly within the State influence its activity. It shall be objectively focused on identifying Fraud, Waste, and Abuse. Issues of law enforcement and those that are not impacted by spending programs are not an issue for me.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a patriot and firmly believe that the elected official must commit to the preamble of the US Constitution which explicity speaks of Faith. I am concerned about weak oversight of public spending and believe that the my responsibility to the taxpayer is to provide 100% accountability for the spending of their funds. It is about common sense - waste and fraud is wrong. But, it is also about helping people by working to make government spending and activity focus on their needs. For spiritual reference to my opinions on man and governance, I refer to the Book of Samuel 8:10.

Climate change is likely real, as it makes scientific sense given the Laws of Thermodynamics. You won't believe the bureaucratic marvels, devices, and mountains of paper the political response created. It is probably making it worse.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
All energy comes at environmental cost but probably the most reliable source is geothermal energy. It is very underdeveloped. I prefer high efficiency and reliability. Natural gas is 60% efficient and probably provides the best balance.

Government has a responsibility to protect children - which is how the FBI was originally formed to deal with interstate kidnapping. There is no greater crime than the sexual exploitation of a child.
