QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Disagree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe in bodily autonomy. Elective abortion should be allowed when a pregnant person, in consultation with their healthcare provider, decides it is the right choice for their body, health, and circumstances. These deeply personal medical decisions should remain with the patient.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Choose not to answer

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Neutral

As someone who was fortunate to benefit from IVF and is now the proud mother of an inter-racial son, I’m deeply grateful for the science, doctors, and healthcare professionals who made that possible. Through that care, I was able to identify and treat an illness and ultimately have the child I had hoped for.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I believe people who work full time should be able to earn a wage that allows them to support their families. I support raising the minimum wage to reflect cost of living while balancing the real needs of workers and small buisness owners.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Neutral

I agree that free enterprise and private property are important foundations of a strong economy. At the same time, government has a responsibility to ensure that our economy works for communities, not just those with the most wealth and power.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

> Strengthen oversight and auditing to identify waste, fraud, and improper spending. > Improve state procurement by making sure contracts are competitive, transparent, and deliver measurable value for taxpayers. > Increase transparency and accountability so taxpayers can see how public dollars are being spent and whether programs are delivering results. > Invest in technology and modernize government services where doing so can reduce administrative costs and make government more efficient.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state means protecting the freedom to practice your faith while recognizing that government should not impose one set of religious beliefs on everyone. We should be free to bring our values into public life, but no one should have religious beliefs imposed on them.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

I believe we can protect religious liberty without allowing personal beliefs to become a reason to discriminate against others. When a business chooses to serve the public, everyone should have a fair opportunity to access its services, while legitimate First Amendment protections should be respected.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
