Planned parenthood, reproductive healthcare, and abortion care goes so far beyond, "I don't want this baby, get rid of it for me." These are public health services that can be a lifeline or medical necessity for many many women.

Any. Abortions are already a somber event. Deciding to get an abortion should be between the woman and her doctor. Adding more hoops and red tape to the situation makes it harder for those women who really need abortion care such as victims of rape, incest, and abuse.

Minimum wage has not changed in 17 years while the price of everything else in the world has drastically increased. Minimum wage must be raised in order to compete with modern-day expenses.

Lumping these two together into a single question seems odd. Private property is absolutely an essential element to living, thriving, and the American Dream. People deserve to own things, and the things they purchase should never be taken away or reclaimed by any government body. B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. This assures coverage for those who want it without creating unnecessary dissent by denying people the ability to seek out their own healthcare insurance if they prefer.

The fewer "government databases" about citizens, the better. In this specific case, if the Department of Health wanted to track how much a specific disease was costing them, I would not object to tracking the amount of patients with colon cancer, for example, but every patient must be made anonymous to prevent any kind of specific targeting of individuals.

The United States is a sovereign nation but still acts as though it is inexplicably beholden to Israel and it's nonstop warmongering. It is not antisemitic to denounce Israel for war crimes and genocide, it is the truth. The United States has no business dumping billions and billions into "defensive weaponry" for this alleged ally that continuously shakes us down for money to perpetrate endless wars in the Middle East while demanding our unwavering support. We have our own citizens to care for.

Having a national department for education ensures that we have the same curriculum nationwide. It also ensures funds can be directed to low-income students from one state to another to aid in achievement for all. The Department of Education also oversees FAFSA, student loans, and other educational lifelines like Pell grants.

To a point, but children should not suffer in health or education because of the ignorance of their parents. For example, I would not trust a flat-earther, holocaust denier, or 2020 election denier to be appropriately suited to homeschool a child. Likewise, I would not expect a vaccine-denier, 'carnivore diet' enthusiast, or anybody that actually trusts a word out of RFK's mouth to be somebody that can properly address their child's health needs.

I am strongly against the amount of gambling and 'prediction markets' that are spreading. Everything nowadays is gambling. Gambling needs to be something that can only be done in person at a casino, horse track, or other betting area. Online gambling through apps is too predatory and prone to being rigged (even more so than usual) to get the users addicted. Gambling has one of the highest suicide rates of all additions and this matter is not taken seriously enough.

I believe in treating others with kindness and empathy. I believe in treating the Earth, nature, and animals with reverence and respect. I believe in honoring my ancestors and those who came before me with song and prayer. I believe in being good for the sake of being good, regardless of commandments, rules, or the fear of some cosmic judgment. I believe that giving your word to somebody is a sacred oath that must be upheld. I believe in asking for help, giving thanks, and saying 'I love you' to the people around me as much as possible. I believe a bad day only lasts until your next breath because everything could be over in an instant.

This is a deeply complex issue that depends on a multitude of factors and should be examined on a case-by-case basis by an expert and goes far beyond me and my limited life experience as a cis man to have an opinion on. I support trans people and their right to get the mental healthcare they deserve, but I also don't want to issue a blanket statement that every mental health professional should/must address this highly specific and individual issue the same way for every single patient.

Just like the mandatory draft paperwork for 18 year old men, upon a citizen turning 18, the federal government should send a voter registration form to be filled out by the citizen. Upon receipt and verification of the form, the government should issue a voter ID card to the citizen. This solves the issue once and for all.

This is not a political issue, this is a sensationalist culture war topic that is trotted out by the Right every time they need to distract from the narrative of something else in the media. 0.06% of athletes are trans in the US. That means there are a dozen or fewer trans athletes in the entire United States. The government does not need to issue legislation that affects whether 12 people nationwide can engage in a sport. Leave it to the leagues to sort out.

We have passed the "no return point" already where experts think we have caused irreversible ecological damage. My question is: even if climate change is a grand hoax like deniers say, what will we have truly lost if we all get "tricked" by climate change activists into making sure we have clearer air in big cities, rivers we can swim and fish in, and forests and protected National parks? Why are we dragging our feet on green energy for any reason?

A combination of solar, wind, hydroelectric, and even nuclear energy should be deeply invested into so we can sunset our dependance on fossil fuels and coal.

The criminal justice system should prioritize incarceration of violent criminals and rehabilitation of non-violent non-repeat offender criminals. Going to prison for nonviolent crimes on a first or second offense creates a stigma that can make reintegration into society through getting a job, affordable housing, etc. more difficult. If it is too difficult to find honest work and housing post-prison, it creates an incentive to return to crime.

The government is incapable of protecting children online from sexual predators unless we just deny sexual predators access to the internet. Anything else becomes a guise to use "protecting the kids" as a way to force all internet users to publish their ID to age verification software that removes anonymity from using the internet and becomes yet another fixture in the government surveillance network.

This is not a real thing that is happening in the United States and is yet another Right-wing talking point that is brought out to cover for Islamophobia. Nobody is trying to bring Sharia law to the US.

Purchasing a firearm should require a background check. There should also be "red flag" laws or extreme risk protection orders that allow courts to remove the firearms of a person who may harm themselves or others. How many school shootings have we had that we find out students or faculty have made multiple police calls about a certain student with no follow-up by the police? Anybody convicted of a violent crime or domestic abuse should not be allowed to own a firearm.
