RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
Planned Parenthood helps women with many issues such as gynecological exams, questions about reproductive health, and are often the first place women go who have little (high deductible) or no insurance to ask questions about female health issues. It is because of their total mission that I believe they need taxpayer funding.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
This decision is made between the Woman and her doctor. I trust the woman and the doctor to make the correct decision for her particular need.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Currently our minimum wage has not kept up with inflation--if it had, it would be around $14/hour; while with productivity tracked, it would be around $22/hour. Twenty-two dollars an hour is more in line with the actual wage need in rural areas.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Remove the local property tax burden on the rural areas that do not tend to have high-wage incomes. By doing this, we reduce paperwork for local towns, schools, and county government as states then work on collecting taxes from the wealthy citizens who often are not captured through local taxes and pass those gains down to these more local governments. (This is 1. local towns, 2. local schools, 3. counties)
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
This means that will be no national religion dictated by the national government. All religions will be treated equally with no preference or favoritism shown in any publicly funded institution. Religion will not be used as a criterion for any law or educational requirements.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Healthcare for all with a single payer system.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

The CCP is a competitor of the US and must be treated as one. Economically, militarily, and especially intellectual property theft. Currently, there are no legal aspects we can use to prevent intellectual property theft. These items need to be protected from and guarded from cyber theft.

Our relationship with Israel is key to our national security and monitoring of the Middle East.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

I believe we are a nation of immigrants. We need to establish a simple pathway to citizenship that is reasonable length. If they meet the requirements of language mastery and providing economic value. We need to have them join the multinational and cultural mix that the US has been since the pilgrims.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

We need to ensure that we have a minimal education requirement to meet the economic and cultural (civics) requirements of a nation. I believe in Teddy Roosevelt's philosophy: The government's job is to give everyone a level playing field to start their careers. What the person does from there, is based on their skill, drive, and focus. That means, a minimum educational requirement nationwide to insure a level and equal starting point nationwide.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Foreign governments must not have any influence in the curriculum selection or subjects taught.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

As members of society, children in a democracy must have a basic line of education that is consistent with the needs of society to maintain our government, which is why we have public schools. As for the child's health, again it is between the doctor and the parent.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Marriage was initially established to insure the legal and binding transition of family wealth to the wife and children upon the death of the husband and not to other family members. This was also a contract between families. In the modern world, if a couple loves each other, I have no issue with them getting married.

I am the grandson of an Evangelical United Brethan reverend and former Chief Editor of the Church Monthly Magazine. I believe in the requirements of a religion that looks out for the welfare of the people through acts of kindness, helpfulness, emotional and economic support as needed by their congregation. We are not judgmental; we are all welcoming as human beings and treat everyone the same regardless of religionist preference, race, or status.
Any mental health professional treating a patient with gender-identity or sexual-orientation issues should be required to affirm whatever the patient proclaims with regard to their identity.

This is about individual rights. The responsibility of the metal health worker is to listen to the patient, hear their feelings and emotions, assess, diagnose, and help the individual improve their psychological well-being and daily functioning. Again, this is between the doctor and the patient.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

If reparations were going to be provided, it should have been done long age. The time has expired because those individuals harmed are now deceased.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

I believe that the person in transition needs to focus on the transition. They do not need to participate in sports.

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
Rehabilitation. I have a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Corrections with an emphases in Juvenile Counseling and Corrections. We need to work on the issues that caused the behavior and prevent the reoccurrence of the societal environment that caused it.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Government's responsibility is to protect their citizens. This includes online activities.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

We will follow the US Constitution which bans selection of a national religious doctrine. This would violate the US Constitution as would selection of Christianity as a National religion.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The only requirement is "Responsible gun ownership". Secure the firearms in the households and Red Flag laws.
