What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of our criminal justice system should be to keep communities safe, hold people accountable, protect victims, and ensure equal justice under the law. It should also focus on preventing crime, rehabilitation, and giving those who have served their sentences a meaningful opportunity to rebuild their lives and become productive members of society.
