QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Choose not to answer

I support protecting access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and oppose government interference that limits a person’s ability to make their own healthcare decisions.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I trust individuals to make their own healthcare decisions in consultation with their doctors. Government should not dictate whether, when, or under what circumstances someone must continue a pregnancy.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Choose not to answer

I believe every person deserves dignity, freedom, and access to healthcare. I do not support giving the government the power to override a person’s bodily autonomy or make deeply personal healthcare decisions for them.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Choose not to answer

Decisions about fertility treatment, IVF, embryos, and reproductive healthcare should remain with patients, families, and their medical providers not politicians.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Choose not to answer

Patients and their doctors not politicians should make healthcare decisions, including decisions.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I support a strong minimum wage that keeps pace with the cost of living while ensuring Michigan remains competitive.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Choose not to answer

I strongly support free enterprise, private property rights, and a competitive economy.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Increase transparency, audit state spending, cut unnecessary bureaucracy and streamline outdated processes and measure restults.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means protecting both religious freedom and freedom from government-imposed religion. Everyone should be free to practice their faith or no faith without government interference.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Choose not to answer

People should be free to hold and practice their religious and moral beliefs, but those freedoms must be balanced with equal treatment under the law.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Healthcare should be affordable and accessible to everyone. No one should have to choose between getting the care they need and paying their bills.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Choose not to answer

No. The government should not maintain a database of individuals’ medical conditions.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Choose not to answer

As a state representative, I won’t pretend Lansing controls our foreign policy. I will focus on what I can control: protecting Michigan workers and businesses, strengthening our economy

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I do not support sending taxpayer dollars to the Israeli government. I believe the Israeli government’s conduct in Gaza has resulted in a devastating loss of civilian life and should be subject to accountability under international law. As a state representative, foreign policy is outside the scope of my office, but I will always advocate for human rights, peace, and responsible use of taxpayer dollars.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Choose not to answer

I support policies that protect human dignity, due process, and constitutional rights for everyone. As a state representative, I will focus on what Lansing can control, making sure all residents are treated with dignity and respect under the law.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Choose not to answer

I support strong local control of education and believe Michigan communities should have a meaningful voice in how our schools operate.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Choose not to answer

American education should serve American students and communities. I support transparency and appropriate limits on foreign influence in our school.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Choose not to answer

Parents play a fundamental role in the health, education, and well-being of their children. I support empowering parents while ensuring children are safe, treated with dignity, and able to receive appropriate care and education.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Choose not to answer

I believe decisions about a child’s healthcare should be made carefully by parents and qualified medical professionals. Every child deserves safety, dignity, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Choose not to answer

People should be free to live according to their faith and values, while the government protects the equal rights and dignity of every person. I believe the government should not impose one religious definition of marriage on everyone.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Choose not to answer

Any policy should be evaluated based on its real impact on families, local communities, and taxpayers.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My values are rooted in leading with love, dignity, peace, and compassion. I believe in treating every person with humanity and respect, and doing my best to cause no harm. I strive to be honest, practical, and of service to my community, guided by the belief that we are stronger when we care for one another and lead with an open heart.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Choose not to answer

Yes. Every eligible Michigan voter should be able to exercise their constitutional right to vote, regardless of whether they have a photo ID. Michigan’s current law allows voters without identification to sign an affidavit and cast a regular ballot, and I support protecting that access while maintaining secure and trustworthy elections.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Choose not to answer

We should acknowledge historical injustice while focusing on what state government can do today.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Choose not to answer

Every person deserves dignity, safety, and equal protection under the law.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Choose not to answer

As a state representative, I will support policies that keep the lights on, protect ratepayers, strengthen Michigan’s economy, and responsibly address our changing climate.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I believe the most reliable approach is a diversified energy system that includes dependable baseload power alongside renewable energy.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Choose not to answer

Independent / Common-sense

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No. I believe elected officials should be held to a high ethical standard. I believe survivors of sexual abuse should be heard and supported, and anyone who has committed sexual crimes should be held accountable under the law, regardless of who they are or how powerful they may be. The public deserves transparency regarding the Epstein case, and I support the lawful release of all Epstein-related files, including records involving the president or any other elected official.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No. I believe elected officials should be held to a high ethical standard and accountable for their conduct. The fact that our current president was convicted of felony offenses should prompt an honest conversation about the standards we expect from candidates and elected officials.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The goal of our criminal justice system should be to protect public safety, uphold human rights, hold people accountable for harm, and ensure due process and equal justice under the law.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Choose not to answer

Yes. Children deserve to be safe from sexual exploitation, abuse, and trafficking both online and offline. The government should enforce strong protections and hold those who exploit children accountable.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Choose not to answer

The United States should be governed by the Constitution and laws enacted through our democratic process. I will protect every person’s right to practice their faith freely, but no religion should dictate government policy or determine our laws. Separation of church and state protects religious freedom for everyone.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I support the Second Amendment and the rights of responsible, law-abiding gun owners. As a state representative, I will support practical firearm-safety measures, enforce existing laws, and work to keep our communities safe while protecting the constitutional rights of law-abiding Michiganders. Michigan’s Constitution explicitly protects the right to keep and bear arms.
