QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Neutral

Legal protection until natural death extends beyond what happens in utero or in a delivery room. What happens during those stages of life should not be up to elected officials to decide, instead we will focus on the best quality of life for constituent in district three, like clean air clean water, affordable housing, and a future we can all believe in.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Neutral

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I don't feel like that is something that policymakers should even debate. Those decisions are between a woman and her doctors.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

They are women's healthcare providers. Like all healthcare providers, they should be funded be taxpayers, including women that need all of their services, which extend far beyond abortion.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

Our rights as Louisiana residents do not supersede our rights as Americans.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Strongly Agree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Stop the Illegal War in Iran. Stop the waste of taxpayer money on things that don't serve the American people like gold gilding government facilites. Eliminate fraud and insider trading in government.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

If they provide the business or service to the public, then it means everyone.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

America was built on religious freedom and that means that institutions paid for with public funds should not show preference to one religion. Particularly, public schools should not teach religious doctrine. Further, churches should provide services and resources to the community with the funds they receive or pay taxes to that community like a business.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Neutral

No the government should not keep a database of people, however, the government should track spending related to any funds used on healthcare in a privacy and security compliant fashion.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B, The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

It is increasingly less important. While I whole heartedly support the Jewish people worldwide, and the Right of Israel to Exist, I whole heartedly support the struggle of the Palestinian people against the holocaust they now face. I strongly condemn the action of the IDF in Gaza and Palestine and also condemn the HAMAS terrorists and all that support them. The people suffer, on both sides. The US can only support two state solution at this point. Any other argument, is genocide.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Disagree

Not as much as far right extremists according to Department of Justice, until changes ordered by the Trump Administration about 6 month ago.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone that follows the law to do so.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Neutral

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Disagree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Parents should make any and all healthcare decisions, including those that affect a child's mental health and development, without government interference as long as a child is without mental, physical or emotional harm.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
