Picking and choosing which procedures will be covered differently creates chaos in patients lives. Those of us not in the Doctors office at the time of the discussion on any procedure, don't or shouldn't have the right to dictate whether it is medically necessary or not.

That decision should be left to the Doctor and the Patient and if needed or requested the family.

I believe that until a fetus takes it's 1st breath, it's ability to survive outside the womb is in question. Only God knows the plan for that pregnancy and the fetus. None of us know his plan.

While I don't like to see potential live destroyed, there are in my mind too many questions left to answer in this area. One of which is who do they belong to.

I don't believe medical drugs of any type, requiring a prescription should be included in the Comstock act. If you include abortion-inducing drugs you should also include male enhancement drugs. I believe when you start limiting any prescription drugs it does harm to people.

Minimum wage should be a wage at which people can survive, meaning being able to support the payment of rent, utilities, food and transportation. I also belive that it should be indexed each year attached to real inflation numbers.

Businesses have a responsibility to their community and employees not just the owner. When we allow mergers to wipe out consumers input in what they need or want, I don't believe that it is any longer a truly free market. Businesses helping their communities grow by being a part of the community and taking care of their employees with proper wages and benefits feeds free market, mega mergers do not.

I measure government waste not necessarily in dollars save but in dollars spent properly. In finding "waste" I believe the first thing step is areas that directly help and support the public to see if their funding is to high, to low or adequate. Realigning where money is spent is the first step in determining waste vs need. After that the next step is determining need across the entire budget to check for any additional realignment needs. This is tells us if our budget is healthy.

It means that the State will take no position placing one religion above any other. We are guaranteed the right to freely practice our religion in the Constitution. So long as our practice does not interfere with someone else's practice of theirs.

I believe that individuals have rights in the constitution, that is the free practice of their religion. I do believe that a business has a right to make decisions on how they want to run, and the people use their dollars to like or dislike that business. I don't believe that moving back to segregation is a good thing, if you are in business how you choose your customers should not rely on discriminatory practices. Be the good Samaritan.

At this moment I am somewhere between A and B. To make a final decision I would need to see the actual change in cost and government budget effect. Making a blanket statement without reading the bill presented would be irresponsible.

While I agree that they do, I am confused by your singling out one country that does pose a threat. The current weakening of our security is a leading reason more countries have become a security threat and all shoulds be considered, as well as how we can strengthen our systems to prevent this.

My personal belief is that our relationship with Israel is no more or less important that our relationship with other countries. We should be striving to build relationship with countries that are working for peace and working with any countries that we have relationships with to stop wars of all types.

Until the legal system is back in control of immigration decisions, yes I am in support of sanctuary cities. When our system works as it should then the need for Sanctuary Cities be reviewed.

There are parts of the Education system that States need assistance with, including those areas that include children of all levels with special needs. State resources, including more than just funding are an important part of helping those children become fruitful adults and the resources the Federal government can gather is much more effective than what individual states can do.

I think that depends on what you mean by funding American education. Foreign students coming here for an education typically paying much more that our American students. When they do come here and pay so much more than our kids that appears to subsidies our children and allow the colleges they attend to continue to grow and expand curriculum.

I agree, parents should be the ones making decisions for their children and families. When parents are unable or have proven the inability to do so then, there need to be programs to assist parent in learning to make better decision. That is help with learning how to make the best decision, not learning how to make the decisions the way the government wants the outcome to be.

Making good decisions for a child means letting the child lead the way and correcting if necessary. In this case if the child is leading the way and it has been determined that it is not a "phase" then it should be something the parents and doctors watch and monitor. No child should be forced to do anything that is not medically necessary in this area.

The religious definition of marriage does not mean the state can't have a different view of marriage for other reasons. Churches and religions have different views on marriage, the government should also acknowledge there are other than traditional reasons for marriage as well as different arrangements that constitute marriage to people.

I only support gambling if we support and require the gambling establishments we have and new ones, to be a part of the healing of the addition to gambling.

I believe in God and I do my best to follow the treat everyone as I would like to be treated. As for values, helping others as I am able and not judging are both important to me, being human I am not perfect at either. I also believe that there is only one judge of morally right or wrong and we will face that judge only after we are gone, so I aim to not take that role.

I believe there are many ways to verify that a person is the person that is voting and a photo ID is one of them as would be a photo stored in the system, however there are a variety of systems throughout the state so right now no one works best.

I believe reparations is a case by case issue and while I believe in its use very sparingly, I do believe that there can be reasons to give reparations on whatever basis the situation calls for.

With recent medical studies showing genetic anomalies in the X and Y chromosomes, I believe that this discussion is just beginning. I know of individuals on both sides of this each genetically not what they appear to be visually, so there is still work to be done to learn and adapt as science leads us. These studies have begun to show some of these anomalies are from our environment I am waiting to see where that leads.

If you have any doubt about this, look at Cancer rates and issues in the St Louis area with water and soil contamination from decades ago exist, or look at the air in different parts of the country and the number of respiratory issues and cancers there. This is not a made up issue.

I don't believe relying on one source is in our best interest. Wind and solar are proving to be great reliable sources, when placed and used properly. Hydro-electric works best in some areas. There is no one solution.

Lean Liberal

I have always been a centrist, meaning that the answers usually live near the middle. In our current climate I am leaning more liberal to liberal. That would be because for the first time in my lifetime there is such an extreme stretch of conservatism that where I am finding the ability to join forces for good answers is leaning liberal. Answers can not be found on one side or the other they must be found in the middle.

The goal should be to help as many offenders of crimes become good citizen. Some will and that is great and some are not able to and we need to be able to serve both.

I believe it is the parents responsibility to do that, however it is something that they can not always do on there own. The governments role is to set limits for children that make it easier for parent to protect them.

Like every other religious set of laws, Sharia laws have things that are very much already part of our laws and other religions beliefs. Sharia law like other religious laws have areas that conflict with the basic beliefs of other religions. Any religion practiced freely in the family is allowed by our constitution. It like other religions does not have the right to interfere with others beliefs and that is where the lines should be drawn when incorporating it to our legal framework.

I believe people have the right to own or not own guns, it is their choice. The discussion needs to be; when a person has shown they are irresponsible with the gun what are the consequences? We take drivers licenses away, we take toys from our kids, when they aren't responsible. With rights come responsibilities and with responsibilities, consequences. We can find middle ground.
