What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Parents or guardians should be the first people involved when a student is facing an unwanted or crisis pregnancy, whenever permitted by law. Schools should provide a safe and compassionate environment, support the student’s continued education, and help connect the family with appropriate resources and qualified professionals. Schools should support families, not replace parents or medical professionals in deeply personal decisions.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I support strong public funding for Pre-K–12 education, but funding must come with transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Resources should reach the classroom and prioritize academic excellence, effective teachers, smaller well-supported classrooms, and the fundamental skills children need to succeed. More spending alone does not guarantee better outcomes; we should expect measurable results for students. College funding policy falls outside the authority

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means public schools should not promote a particular religion, but they should respect faith and religious freedom. Our students come from many backgrounds, cultures and countries, but our schools should emphasize what unites us as one community. We should teach our shared American history and civic values, including respect for our country and the Pledge of Allegiance, while respecting every student.

I do not believe abortion or gender-affirming providers should provide instruction or services in elementary schools. Sensitive medical decisions belong with parents and qualified medical professionals, not the school. Schools should focus on age-appropriate academics, student safety, and supporting families while respecting parents as the primary decision-makers for their children.
