QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Disagree

I value human life deeply, and I also believe deeply in bodily autonomy, medical privacy, and the right of people to make complex reproductive decisions with their healthcare providers. I do not believe government should impose fetal personhood from conception in a way that criminalizes abortion, miscarriage care, IVF, or other reproductive healthcare.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Agree

I have a deep respect for life, and I don't think decisions involving embryos should ever be treated casually. But I also believe there is complexity here. I don't believe an embryo should automatically have the same legal rights as a born person, or that government should make these deeply personal decisions for families using IVF.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I support legal access to abortion and believe decisions about pregnancy should remain primarily between the patient and their qualified medical provider, especially in circumstances involving health risks, fetal complications, abuse, or other deeply personal and complex situations. I value life enough to believe that reproductive decisions deserve care, dignity, medical expertise, and personal agency—not criminalization.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

I support public funding for comprehensive reproductive and preventive healthcare, including services provided by organizations such as Planned Parenthood. I do not believe access to contraception, cancer screenings, STI care, family planning, and other essential health services should be restricted because a provider also offers abortion care.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Disagree

I do not support using the Comstock Act as a tool to restrict access to medication abortion. I believe reproductive healthcare should be governed by current medical evidence, patient safety, and individual liberty—not by reviving a 19th-century law to make healthcare decisions for people. As I stated previously, I value life enough to believe that reproductive decisions deserve care, dignity, medical expertise, and personal agency—not criminalization.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

I believe free enterprise and private property can support innovation, independence, and upward mobility. I also believe markets require strong guardrails to prevent monopoly power, exploitation, and the privatization of public benefit. A productive economy should encourage entrepreneurship and ownership while protecting workers, consumers, communities, and the public interest.

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Strongly Agree

I support a more progressive tax structure in which people and corporations with greater ability to pay contribute a greater share. Working families should not carry a disproportionate burden while wealth and corporate profits concentrate at the top. Tax policy should support economic stability, public infrastructure, education, healthcare, equity and opportunity.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Disagree

The government should reorganize spending priorities to cut the national debt. I support reducing wasteful, duplicative, and ineffective spending, but I do not support across-the-board cuts that weaken essential public services or long-term investment. Fiscal responsibility should mean spending wisely, evaluating outcomes, closing tax loopholes, and reducing unnecessary costs while protecting investments that improve health, education, infrastructure, economic mobility, and national resilience.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

I believe in fiscal responsibility, but cutting services is not the same as eliminating waste. I would focus on reducing waste without cutting programs that families depend on by addressing: 1. Overcharging 2. Duplicative programs and services 3. Corporate and contractor fraud and misuse of public funds 4. Inefficient or poorly managed government contracts 5. Outdated systems that need to be evaluated, modernized, or replaced

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

People have a right to their religious and moral beliefs, but businesses and professionals serving the public also have responsibilities not to deny lawful services based on who a person is. Religious freedom should protect belief and worship, but it should not become a blanket exemption from civil-rights protections or professional obligations.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state means that faith should be protected, without being imposed. I believe people should be free to practice their religion, live by their convictions, or choose not to practice a religion at all. I also believe our government has a responsibility to serve all people fairly, regardless of their faith. My own faith shapes how I understand the world and the values I bring into public service, but I do not believe government should force any religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I support universal, publicly funded healthcare for everyone. Private payment can remain an option for those who choose it, but no one should need private insurance to receive excellent, comprehensive care. Publicly funded healthcare should not be treated as a lesser tier of medicine. So, B done with dignity, represents my position.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Disagree

I support collecting de-identified public health data so we can understand illness, treatment costs, disparities, and community needs. I do not support creating a government database that unnecessarily identifies individuals by their medical conditions. People should not have to surrender their medical privacy in order for us to make good healthcare policy.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C is close to my position. I believe the U.S.A has become too involved in conflicts and political affairs around the world, often at tremendous human and financial cost. Our responsibility should be to the safety, stability, and well-being of people here at home. At the same time, I do not believe America should ignore genocide, humanitarian crises, or serious threats to international peace. I support diplomacy, humanitarian assistance, coalition-building, and limited intervention when needed.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

I believe China presents real military, cybersecurity, economic, and intellectual-property challenges that the United States should take seriously. At the same time, I do not believe responsible foreign policy requires treating the Chinese people or every interaction with China as an enemy relationship. We should protect our infrastructure, technology, workers, and national interests while continuing diplomacy and cooperation where our interests overlap.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. The relationship between the United States and Israel is important because of our long-standing diplomatic, economic, security, and historical ties. Our friendship means greater accountability. I believe U.S. policy should recognize the security and humanity of Israelis while equally recognizing the dignity, safety, freedom, and self-determination of Palestinians. Our role should be to encourage peace, protect civilian life, uphold international law, and support a safe, dignified region.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Disagree

Violent extremist terrorism is a threat to national security, including terrorism carried out by groups claiming an Islamic justification. But Islam itself is not a threat, and I do not support language or policies that treat Muslims as inherently suspect. Our security policies should focus on violent actors and credible threats, regardless of religion or ideology.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I support a fair, humane, and enforceable immigration system that welcomes people seeking safety, family reunification, work, education, and opportunity. We should protect national security while honoring due process, asylum rights, family unity, and realistic pathways to legal status.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Agree

I support local policies that allow people to safely interact with schools, hospitals, police, and other essential public services regardless of immigration status. People should be able to report a crime, seek help, or cooperate with law enforcement without fearing that every interaction will automatically become an immigration enforcement action. I also believe immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility. Local governments should remain focused on public safety and trust.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Disagree

I support strong local and state input in education, but I do not support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education. The federal government has an important role in protecting equal access, civil rights, special education, student aid, and national standards of opportunity.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Agree

I support strong limits and transparency around foreign government funding of American schools and universities. Educational institutions should not become vehicles for foreign political influence. Legitimate academic partnerships can continue, but funding sources should be fully disclosed and subject to clear safeguards.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Disagree

I do not believe every effort to support a child exploring gender identity should automatically be labeled abuse. Children deserve safety, compassion, age-appropriate care, involved caregivers, and qualified medical guidance. Decisions should be made carefully and individually, with the child’s well-being at the center.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

I believe marriage can be deeply sacred, but government has a responsibility to protect equal civil rights. My personal or spiritual beliefs should not determine which consenting adults are legally permitted to marry. Religious communities should remain free to define marriage according to their faith traditions.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spirituality is rooted in love, service, dignity, accountability, compassion, and the belief that every person has inherent value. I believe faith should lead us toward greater care for one another, deeper responsibility to our communities, and humility about what we do not know. I try to live in a way that creates healing, peace, and abundance for others, which is very aligned with the life and message of Jesus.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Agree

I support secure elections, but I do not believe a photo ID should be the only way to prove identity. Eligible voters should be able to use multiple reliable forms of verification so that election security is protected without creating unnecessary barriers for seniors, students, low-income voters, or others who may not have current photo identification.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support treating every space the same. In sports, fairness and physical capability matter, and I support exploring separate transgender competition categories where feasible—not to isolate people, but to create fair competition. Bathrooms, shelters, prisons, and locker rooms raise different safety and privacy concerns and should be addressed individually with dignity for everyone.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I believe the most reliable energy future comes from a diversified mix of renewable sources—especially wind, solar, and water—supported by energy storage, grid modernization, and other dependable generation where needed.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Liberal

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Children deserve safe spaces to learn, play, and connect online without being exploited. Government has a responsibility to protect them and to hold individuals and companies accountable when they knowingly allow harm, while also respecting privacy and personal freedom.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I hate senseless violence, and I believe public safety requires meaningful safeguards. At the same time, I believe people have a right to protect themselves, including against serious threats and abuses of power. I support responsible gun ownership, background checks, safe-storage requirements, and limits on weapons and equipment designed primarily for military-style combat rather than ordinary self-defense.
