What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
When an unwanted or crisis pregnancy happens to a student it could feel like the end of the world to that student, when its not! The school's role greatly depends on the student's situation. The most important thing the school can do is fill the gap by first being available, then by providing support and resources that let that student know they are not a lone. It is also important to note, that a school is not a replacement for the family, rather it is simply there to support them as well if possible. A strong family support network is most ideal in this situation.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

As a college graduate I understand how easy it is for a young person to get in debt. I also understand how many student loans are equivalent to high interest credit cards. Although, it's very wrong when students are targeted and taken advantage of with ridiculous loans with ridiculous interest rates. It is still important for students to learn responsibility by not engaging in debts they cannot afford. We can find some common sense ground here.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
If we can follow the model of community colleges, there is not reason they could not provide it for the higher education levels. Myself as well as others I know took advantage of government subsidized community college as a crucial stepping stone to a 4year program such as SDSU. With a fiscally responsible government, this is possible, without that, there could be challenges.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Aside from a general belief in God, there needs to be a clear separation of Church and state. Public schools must be neutral regarding religion. Christians like myself are allowed to practice Christianity because of the right to freedom of religion. If I want the liberty to choose Christianity as my religion, In principal, I must respect others rights to choose theirs. We have the right to freedom of religion in this country. The right must be protected for all, if I want it protected for me.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Strongly Disagree
Unfortunately ICE in its current state is acting outside the bounds of the constitution. It doesn't make sense to sacrifice our civil liberties in an effort to combat illegal aliens. Its no longer law and order when law enforcement operates outside constitutional oversight.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

I believe Planned Parenthood does harm when it starts to undermine the authority of the family. The family is the safeguard of our children's safety, not vice-versa. Planned parenthood could be a tool as long as the family unit remains in control.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Absolutely. Positive reinforcement should be balanced with negative reinforcement. This is essential for the learning and development of a quality person.

The reality is that we are the UNITED states of America, therefore there should be some type of unifying body connecting the states. However, with that being said, we should always aim at empowering the state and local communities much more than the unifying body itself.

I support sex ed as a study of human anatomy and the reproductive system only. Anything beyond that may over step the authority of someone's family values which must be protected.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Unfortunately when it comes to competition, there are always winners and losers. If we can make all schools great, that would be ideal, since there would be no real need for a different choice schools. But I understand this is easier said then done, and I understand we can't blame parents for wanting the best education for their children.
