OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Human life is so special and we should do all we can to protect it.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Support at school with councilor or social worker and working with the student and with the parents so all parties would have all information possible to make sound and safe decisions.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

This is a two part issue, not only does forgiving debt put more strain on all taxpayers, but the large increases in college tuition has exploded this debt to the point that college graduates have such a large burden after graduation.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

By stating government funding, I assume you mean the state budget money that is given to the public school districts. If that is correct, that I believe this funding is important for the pre-K to 12th Grade students. I'm not a proponent of state or taxpayer general funding for college, especially when so many colleges have large endowments they are sitting on.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

While Public Schools do not require any teaching of the Bible, or to have a morning time for class prayer, as students get into the middle school / high school ages the acknowledgment of the Bible ( and other religious books ) should be at the very least discussed in some matter.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

No, not in public or private schools. This is something that parents should have control of and give direction about, within the family or home setting.

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Agree

We need to have the classroom as a safe space and a great area for learning.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

I'm not in favor of teaching Sex Ed in public schools. Again, this is a parent responsibility.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Math, Language Arts, American History, Civics, Science, Art & Music, Personal Finances, Foreign Language, Vocational Learning, Informational Technology, Physical Fitness.

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Strongly Agree

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Agree

Agree, but with that the charter / private schools if they are receiving any state or taxpayer funds must be held accountable for learning just as the public schools are. All different types of schools all should be on a level playing field, to give parents a true report of what is offered and being taught in all these different schools.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

no, we must protect girls / women and allow females to have their sports, locker room, bathrooms, etc...

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was born and raised as a Christian, and continue with those beliefs today.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Neutral

Along with that, any subject matter in these books should also be looked at to be in the correct grade / age level. There are many great books that could be discussed, I would rather they are discussed in the proper age level. What might be a book that a second grader would read is much different that a book that as 12th grader would read.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Agree

While having some staff or faculty being allowed to carry in school, I would also like to see volunteers such as retired law enforcement or military veterans that also have had weapon training to be allowed to volunteer their services on our school campus for student safety.
