I believe individuals should have access to affordable family planning services, contraceptives, and reproductive health information. For some young adults, organizations such as Planned Parenthood provide essential healthcare and counseling that may not be readily available elsewhere. I believe abortion is a serious and personal decision that should be left primarily to a woman and her doctor. I support allowing elective abortion in the early stages of pregnancy, with reasonable regulations to protect the health and safety of the mother.

I support increasing the minimum wage to a livable wage; however, I believe it should be implemented gradually over several years rather than through a single large increase. A phased approach would allow workers to see meaningful wage growth.

As the parent of a daughter who is a college professor and grandchildren attending public schools, I deeply value education and respect the role of teachers and academic freedom. The separation of church and state is a foundational U.S. principle, derived from the First Amendment's Establishment Clause, which prohibits government from establishing an official religion or preferring one over another.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
