QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Agree

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

A school should respond to a student facing an unwanted or crisis pregnancy with compassion, dignity, and support for both the student and her unborn child. Parents should be involved wherever legally possible, and schools should connect families with trusted community resources that support life, health, education, and the student’s ability to continue pursuing her future.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Agree

As someone with federal civil service experience, I also believe that qualifying government service is an appropriate path to loan forgiveness for federally backed student loans.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

Public education from Pre-K through 12th grade is a core public responsibility and should be properly funded, locally accountable, academically focused, and respectful of taxpayers. For me, college education is different. Government may provide targeted assistance and support, but students should remain primarily responsible for the cost of the college education and debt they choose to pursue. I took out a federally backed loan and I then paid it back. That’s how it should be.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

“Separation of church and state” means government should neither establish a religion nor interfere with the free exercise of faith. Public schools should not take the place of parents, churches, or families in teaching religious belief, but students and staff should never be forced to leave their faith at the schools front door. Religious liberty must be protected equally, without government endorsement or hostility.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Agree

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

America’s history is imperative for students to learn, but a clear of understanding of World History also creates well rounded students ready to take on the challenges of the real world.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

I support returning greater control of education to states, local communities, parents, and locally elected school boards, while reducing unnecessary federal bureaucracy and spending. My position is that we need to reform government, eliminate waste and federal overreach, and move decision-making closer to students & families while ensuring essential responsibilities are handled efficiently and responsibly.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Because public schools serve diverse families, students should have access to age-appropriate sex education covering abstinence, consent, contraception, anatomy, reproductive health, pregnancy, and fetal development. Schools should never teach sexual acts or sexual pleasure, or use sex education for ideological instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity. Parents deserve curriculum transparency and the right to opt their child out.

It is discriminatory for a school district to cause academically eligible students to forfeit participation in U.I.L. competition when the student opts for instruction outside of the public school system.

Neutral

UIL programs are funded and administered by public school districts for the students they serve through the ADA system. I would like to see data on how many students educated outside the public school system have taken advantage of UIL access. I would also like to see the state provide an appropriate funding mechanism so local taxpayers and enrolled students are not required to absorb those additional costs.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

My priorities for K-12 public education are: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, American & World History, Civics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Art & Music, and Foreign Language. Public schools should first provide students with a strong academic foundation, an understanding of our nation and civic responsibilities, and the practical skills necessary to become successful, productive adults. Extracurricular’s are very important too!

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Strongly Agree

Public schools should equip students with a strong academic foundation, while also helping develop the character, responsibility, and civic understanding necessary for productive citizenship. A quality education should prepare students not only for personal success, but also to preserve the principles of self-government, respect for our nation’s history, and the values that sustain strong families and communities.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Neutral

I support historically established parental choice in education, including public, option transfer, private, and homeschool options. Having attended both private and public schools, I understand the value strong private institutions provide. However, competition alone does not improve public schools. Lasting progress requires strong local leadership, academic accountability, responsible stewardship, parental engagement, and greater community authority to meet students’ and families’ needs.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

Women’s sports and sex-specific spaces should be reserved for biological women and girls. Protecting these distinctions preserves fairness in athletic competition and respects the privacy, dignity, and safety of women and girls in spaces such as bathrooms, locker rooms, shelters, and other sex-specific facilities.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I’m an active member of Milestone Church and strive to raise my family according to biblical values. My faith emphasizes integrity, personal responsibility, service, compassion, humility, strong families, and treating everyone with dignity and respect. I seek to steward my responsibilities wisely, stand for what is right, and serve my community with honesty and purpose as a husband, father, neighbor, and leader.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

People should be judged by their character, work ethic, abilities, accomplishments, and the choices they make. Our schools and institutions should promote merit, personal responsibility, and high standards. Success should be earned through effort and achievement, and individuals should be evaluated based on what they do and contribute.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Disagree

Literary value shouldn’t create a blanket exemption from obscenity standards when material is being made available to children. Schools have a responsibility to ensure library content is age appropriate and suitable for students. At the same time, I believe obscenity standards should be clearly and objectively defined so parents, educators, and school boards can apply them consistently and avoid subjective or politically motivated decisions.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voters should be required to present a valid form of photo identification before casting a ballot. We are routinely required to prove our identity for many important activities in everyday life, and voting should be held to an equally serious standard. A citizen’s right to vote is one of our most fundamental civic rights, and reasonable identification requirements help safeguard that right, protect election integrity, and maintain public confidence in our elections.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

Never.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

Never.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2016 Republican Primary 2016 General Election 2018 Republican Primary 2018 General Election 2020 Republican Primary 2020 General Election 2022 General Election

I first moved to DFW in 2013 but left for one year from 2014 to 2015. In addition to the list above, I also voted in the 2024 Republican Primary and General Election and the 2026 Republican Primary, and I plan to vote in the 2026 Midterm General Election.

What political party are you affiliated with?

Republican Party

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I consider myself Conservative because I believe in limited and accountable government, fiscal responsibility, personal responsibility, religious liberty, strong families, parental rights, and preserving the constitutional principles and civic traditions that have made our country successful. I believe government works best when decisions are made as close to the people as possible and when local communities are empowered to solve local problems.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Neutral

I’m not currently convinced that arming faculty is a necessary or broadly supported school safety policy for my community. I strongly support our district-employed SRO’s and the partnerships we have with local law enforcement agencies to protect our campuses. I also believe teachers are hired to educate students, not to assume the responsibilities of trained, experienced, career law enforcement officers. Any policy of this significance should be based on demonstrated need.
