Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Abortion should not be one's primary method for birth control. Abortion should always be allowed for the unfortunate cases of ectopic pregnancy, preterm premature rupture of membranes, sexual assault, incest, miscarriages, minors, severe fetal anomalies, etc.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

I'd like if Planned Parenthood and the rest of society actually helped young couples plan for parenthood and taught them how to raise their kids. A lot of us parents are really just winging it out here. Planned Parenthood should continue to provide birth control, IUDs, STD treatment, Pap smears, HPV tests, and breast exams.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

My quick research into the Comstock Act shows that this 1800's law can be used to arbitrarily ban the mailing of other items too. I find it interesting that we have laws on the books that aren't enforced.

Separation of church and state means that the government must remain independent of religious institutions. Our laws should be blind to religion. People are free to be Catholic, Baptist, Jewish, Hindu or anything else.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. In the near-term future we must go with option B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. If we were fully under my administration & stewardship the Healthcare would be so good and so comprehensive that private healthcare would be unnecessary & no one would buy private. We would learn from Canada's mistakes in order to have no wait times, no nonsense, just Universal Healthcare.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Skilled immigrants should be allowed to immigrate to the USA if they fill out the proper paperwork.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Churches and cities in the 1900s offered sanctuary to actual refugees who were fleeing violence. It's unwise to extend that in a blanketed manner to every single immigrant.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Without the Department of Education, low-income students, students with disabilities, and minorities risk losing funding protections and equal-opportunity enforcement that local governments historically neglect. Transferring the complex programs it handles to other agencies without specialized education expertise could lead to severe bureaucratic delays and slower civil rights investigations. The Department of War has a much bigger budget to cut into.

If a foreign government wants to donate to our universities, it sounds nice at first, but surely they have ulterior motives? I value academic collaboration with allies like Australia, but we must be wary of rival nations like China.

No one should force anything upon a child. Gender Dysphoria is something that should be handled in adulthood.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Marriage predates my Christian religion by thousands of years as the earliest known marriage was in 2350 BC. Marriage was invented to provide clear rules to decide who one's legal heir is in order to pass on land and wealth to the next generation. Lesbian marriage isn't one of my concerns.

I am a Christian, and I try to lead my life with WWJD, or What Would Jesus Do? When I see someone with a broken down car I stop to offer assistance. When a someone needs a couch to rest I offer mine. When I see a lost dog out on the road I take them in and find the owner. While I do not intend to impose my religion on others in governance, my public service is guided on the principles and lessons of Jesus Christ. Jesus healed the sick because he was able to. That's a major reason why I support healthcare for all. We can heal the sick if we apply ourselves correctly, but we've allowed the private healthcare industry to fail millions for decades. It's time for our government to start doing the right thing again.

I find great value in the words and ideas of Teddy Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, Franklin D Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. I also look to modern statemen such as Thomas Massie, Bernie Sanders, Ron Paul, and Ro Khanna. I have selected Moderate because I operate on a Populist mindset that has moved past the Conservative-Liberal divide.
