QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Disagree

Around 73% of women seek abortion access and care due to poverty and the inability to care for the child. With South Carolina being a state where medical cuts (that affect children first) are not supported, and certain elected officials, including certain senators seek to remove school meals for impoverished children, financial hardship remains a clear top concern. Many women also seek abortion care due to fatal fetal, maternal, and fetal-maternal anomalies.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe under any circumstances an abortion should be allowed and is a right. More people tend to die when abortion access is denied and banned.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I agree if the human life is wanted, or the mother chooses to keep the child from conception. Otherwise, I am pro-choice and respect a woman's right to choose as stated in prior questions and explanations.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

I believe that the mother should be allowed to decide what happens with her embryos, and I believe that no government or facility should be allowed to "own" them without her consent, as well as the facilities and government should be protective of her rights in this.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

As stated in prior questions and explanations, I support abortion access and rights. I support healthcare access to patients that need it and for doctors to be able to provide it when needed. Abortion access isn't just elective abortions. Miscarriages are medically termed "spontaneous abortions". These medications and access to them make it easier to get spontaneous abortion access when needed. Which is healthcare that helps for both patients, and providers.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I believe that minimum wage needs to be increased. When economies shift and higher prices remain the "new normal", pay should reflect that. Purposeful poverty should not be the goal.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I support free enterprise and the right to own private property. They support productive, economic growth. At the same time, markets work best when there are fair rules, genuine competition, consumer protections, and safeguards against exploiting that.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. Invest upstream in teachers, nurses, & officers higher wages, invest in training, education, & mental health for public servants. Invest in public servants & communities instead of ICE enforcement. 2. Invest in taxpayer transparency & spending. Prioritize what is best for citizens. Politicians lost trust with citizens using propaganda to incite fear & gain being elected, rather than prioritizing citizens. 3. No mass surveillance before investing in citizens. Food, health, jobs, wages first.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means to respect all religions without judgment or exclusion. Religion should not dictate government rights, and government should not dictate religious rights. While both operate justly, safely, respectfully, and legally.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

I support both religious liberty and equal access to public accommodations. A business open to the public should not be permitted to deny ordinary goods or services to someone simply because of who they are, including their race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation. At the same time, freedom of speech and conscience mean that individuals should not be compelled to create or endorse a specific ideological, political, religious, or hateful message they would otherwise refuse to create for anyone.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I believe that healthcare is a right and many policies can and should be changed in order to meet those goals. We need to fund medicaid and medicare as children are affected first, and elderly are at risk and disadvantage, we need policies that re-evaluate and address the healthcare monopoly system, we need funding for many healthcare programs, and we need to prioritize healthcare that actually helps overall. How we get there is by leading change, together.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Neutral

I think that databases help with statistics and understandings, but they should not guide whether a patient lives or dies. When someone cannot gain healthcare access and are struggling financially, it is going to be much harder for them to recover and become a re-activated member of society if they remain unsupported and become considerably more ill.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Neutral

I believe the Chinese Communist Party presents legitimate national-security concerns for the United States regarding cybersecurity, intellectual-property theft, military expansion, economic coercion, and supply-chain vulnerabilities. Our response should distinguish the Chinese government from the Chinese people and avoid unnecessary escalation. The United States should protect its security and economic interests while maintaining diplomacy, fair trade, and cooperation benefitting both countries.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I believe that the United States relationship with all foreign countries is important, and that has included Israel. I do feel that at this time, the United States and Israel relations need to be re-evaluated in regard to what we are openly supporting, providing, and in many ways, allowing.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Agree

Undocumented persons deserve due process and people in the United States deserve protections and legalities. If undocumented persons were allowed appropriate due process, including the crisis the United States created right now, we would not need sanctuary cities to protect people.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Disagree

I do not believe that the education department is currently being run in the interest of the of education and citizens.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments are not allowed to vote, and make decisions for Americans and South Carolinians, they are not allowed to gift or donate to politicians and campaigns, and therefore should not be allowed to fund our education system. I believe it would be a conflict on interest.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Neutral

While I agree that parents should be able to have input & allowed rights, those rights & input should not supersede the child's health educational well-being. Children's needs should based on unbiased educational studies, evidence based practice & recommendations, & respecting children's educational & healthcare needs. Parents & schools should not be compelled to put religious imprints into the public schools, & deny healthcare access including but not limited to mental healthcare access.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Neutral

I believe that children, parents, medical doctors and mental health specialists specialized in this area should make the decisions collectively on a a child's needs. Transgender persons have a much higher likelihood of social isolation, bullying, ostracization, physical violence, and mental health anxieties, as well as social non-acceptance. Therefore, it is not only courageous to transition, it is incorrect to think it is for attention, or to influence others due to the overall challenges.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is between two people whom love one another.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Neutral

While I agree that people have a right to gamble, there are serious consequences to gambling that are often overlooked, and preyed upon. I do, however, believe in freedoms.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that Americans & South Carolinians have the right to be whatever religion they desire, & should support others' right in this as well. I believe that religion should not be politically enforced in schools, healthcare settings, & politics. There is "separation of church and state" & it should remain that way for many reasons. I recognize the influence that some religions have & want to have, therefore, I strongly believe that religion can be utilized to persecute others that do not agree with the religion itself, as well as to enforce religious beliefs into domains that should remain untouched & neutral. Due to these religious attempts, I believe religion must remain within its own domain & not seek involvement elsewhere.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

I believe people should be able to vote with photo identification, passport, and other legal documentation.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Neutral

I believe that reparations are and have been quite necessary for a while in many races. I do also believe that the government will likely make space for other economic needs first. But it does not mean I do not see the damage and agree that they are deserved.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Neutral

Biological males and females have both been allowed to play in opposite gender sports a few times. If the topic of transgender males are the concern, they are more likely to be harassed than anyone that is cisgender. If they are transitioning, these decisions should be covered by their parents, doctors, school admin, sport coaches, and teachers, and should not be viewed as harmful when they have been seeking help for a pathway to transitioning in healthy ways unrelated to stigma of propaganda.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Agree

Yes, and I do believe that we need stronger EPA regulations and stronger forward movement to protect our land, air, water, and noise.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Solar, wind, or whatever we can use or create that helps our environment.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Liberal

I'm a Democrat, formerly Republican many years prior. I understand both sides, & have a deep understanding of both viewpoints. Politicians have lost the plot and people's trust over time. I hope that we can all coexist and make space for one another and begin to tackle real world needs and problems sooner, rather than later. We have a long way to go, and I have been a proud Democrat for years.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

To create and respond with the most just laws, rules, regulations, policies, and decisions for everyone. My son says "to create a safe environment for all including the old and making sure people don't die from other people".

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

The government creates law and regulations for far less than this, therefore, this should have been a much larger priority already. However, yes, there need to be increased laws and regulations to protect children from exploitation.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. Constitution and American law should remain supreme, and no religious legal system should override constitutional rights or civil law. However, freedom of religion protects an individual’s right to voluntarily practice religious traditions, including aspects of Sharia, so long as those practices do not violate U.S. law or the rights of others. The same standard should apply equally to Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and every other religion.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I am the proud recipient of the 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Safety Candidate Award. Meaning, we have rights to gun ownership, and we should increase our policies on them. Gun violence continues to be prevalent and permeates our society, affecting children at an increased rate.
