QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Choose not to answer
As a candidate for the local School Board, my focus is strictly on the education, safety, and academic success of the students currently in our classrooms. The School Board does not legislate or govern matters regarding reproductive law or healthcare. I am running for this non-partisan seat to bring common-sense, pragmatic leadership to our district's $400 million budget, manage our explosive population growth with data-driven rezoning, and ensure our elite educators are paid competitive wages.
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
A school's primary role is to provide a safe, high-quality academic environment. If a student is facing a deeply personal medical or family crisis, including a pregnancy, the school’s responsibility is to ensure the student's safety while on campus and to strictly adhere to Florida state laws regarding parental notification. I firmly believe these are sensitive family matters, and school staff should not overstep the rights of parents. The school's role is to promptly inform and involve the parents so the family can make the best healthcare and personal decisions for their child, while the district focuses on ensuring the student has the educational support they need to continue their academics.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Choose not to answer
As a local School Board candidate, I have no jurisdiction over federal student loan policies. My focus is on preparing our students for success before they take on debt. I strongly support expanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) and dual-enrollment programs so students can graduate with college credits or trade certifications. I am committed to maximizing our local budget to provide premier educational pathways, not debating federal wedge issues.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Well-funded traditional public schools are our community's economic engine. My philosophy: 'Smart money, not just more money.' I demand fiscal accountability for every taxpayer dollar via data-driven infrastructure planning to prevent waste, and competitive wages to retain elite educators. Furthermore, private institutions receiving public vouchers must meet the exact same rigorous standards. To prove my dedication, I pledge 50% of my School Board salary directly to District 4 PTOs.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Parents, not the government, have the absolute right to direct their children's religious upbringing. My role on the School Board is not to engage in national culture wars, but to focus on academic excellence and fiscal accountability. Furthermore, public money requires a public quality guarantee: any private or religious institution receiving taxpayer voucher dollars must be held to the exact same rigorous accreditation and testing standards as our traditional public schools.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Choose not to answer
Border security and immigration enforcement are critical federal responsibilities, but they fall entirely outside the jurisdiction of the St. Johns County School Board. I am running for local office to be a pragmatic problem solver, not a partisan operative fighting national culture wars. My sole focus as a Board member will be managing our district's explosive growth, retaining elite teachers, and demanding absolute fiscal accountability for every local taxpayer dollar.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Choose not to answer
My role on the School Board is not to engage in national culture wars or medical policy, but to focus on academic excellence, managing our explosive population growth with data-driven rezoning, and demanding fiscal accountability. I will ensure our schools strictly follow state laws regarding healthcare while keeping the district's focus squarely on providing a safe, top-tier educational environment.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
A safe and orderly environment is the foundational requirement for academic excellence. We must trust and support our teachers' professional judgment in the classroom. By ensuring our educators have the tools to enforce consistent, fair disciplinary standards, we improve student learning and help retain elite teaching talent who might otherwise leave due to unmanageable classroom disruptions.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
I strongly support rigorous academic standards, including comprehensive instruction in civics and American history as outlined by Florida state standards. My priority is protecting our district’s #1 ranking and ensuring our Advanced Placement (AP) and honors programs remain fully funded so our students are nationally competitive and prepared to be engaged, responsible citizens.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Choose not to answer
The existence of federal departments is a congressional issue, not a local School Board matter. I am running to be a pragmatic problem solver for St. Johns County. My focus is exclusively on managing our local $400 million budget, retaining elite teachers with competitive living wages, and stopping wasteful spending on poorly planned infrastructure in our rapidly growing district.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
St. Johns County schools must strictly adhere to Florida Department of Education standards and state law. I believe sensitive discussions ultimately belong at the kitchen table, which is why I strongly support parental rights and transparency, allowing parents to easily review curriculum and opt-out as they see fit for their own families. Let's keep the focus on core academics.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, American History, Civics, Information Technology, Vocational Learning, Art & Music, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness - To maintain our #1 state ranking, we must prioritize core foundational subjects, expand our 29 Career and Technical Education (CTE) academies, and fiercely protect AP/IB programs. Classrooms should prioritize reading, math, and critical thinking, keeping distracting political activism and extreme national agendas completely out of schools.
Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.
Agree
Schools should focus strictly on education—not politics. By prioritizing core academics, critical thinking, and character development, we prepare students for real-world success. My goal is to ensure our classrooms remain focused on academic achievement by retaining top-tier educators and implementing smart growth strategies so our infrastructure supports excellence.
School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.
Disagree
I support school choice for families with unique needs, but unregulated universal vouchers are draining our public budget. Public money requires a public quality guarantee. Any private institution receiving taxpayer dollars must meet the exact same rigorous accreditation and testing standards as our traditional public schools. Without equal accountability, it isn't fair competition; it's a drain on taxpayers.
VALUES
Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
As a School Board member, my duty is to ensure our district strictly complies with all Florida state laws and court rulings regarding athletics and student facilities.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My values are deeply rooted in my faith, which teaches the importance of integrity, compassion, and serving others. I believe that when you are fortunate enough to live in a wonderful community, you have a moral obligation to help protect and improve it. This principle of service is exactly why my husband and I are so involved in our local schools, and it is the driving force behind my campaign. I view serving on the School Board as a true public service, not a political stepping stone. To honor that commitment and prove my dedication is to our students rather than personal gain, I have formally pledged to donate 50% of my board salary directly back to the local parent-teacher organizations (PTOs) here in District 4.
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Parents are the ultimate authority in their children's lives. I am running as a mother with two daughters currently in our public schools, and I believe we must empower parents with total transparency. We must also respect parents by ensuring their tax dollars are spent responsibly, fixing our chaotic rezoning with data-driven planning, and keeping distracting political agendas out of the classroom so our educators can focus on core academics.
I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
Strongly Agree
Every student in St. Johns County deserves to be treated as an individual, respected for their character, and held to the highest standards of excellence. My goal is to ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment for all children, regardless of their background. By fighting for competitive living wages to retain our elite educators, we can ensure that every single student has access to the best possible education and opportunities for success.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Choose not to answer
The definition of marriage is entirely outside the jurisdiction of a local School Board. I am running for this nonpartisan office to be a pragmatic problem solver, not to engage in national political debates. My sole focus is on the specific duties of this board: managing our multi-million dollar budget with absolute fiscal transparency, using smart infrastructure planning to solve our rezoning crises, and fighting for living wages to retain teachers.
Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.
Choose not to answer
Medical and mental health treatments are deeply personal issues that belong at the kitchen table and in the privacy of a doctor's office, not in the boardroom of a public school district. My role is to ensure our schools follow state law while keeping the focus squarely on academics. We must stop distracting our teachers with political culture wars and instead support them as professionals so they can focus on providing a world-class education.
School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.
Neutral
I believe in empowering parents, not government mandates. If a parent does not want their child to read a specific book, they have the right to opt out. However, those individual parenting decisions should not dictate what every other family's child is allowed to read. We must trust our teachers' professional judgment, protect our advanced academic programs, and keep our district focused on remaining #1 in the state rather than policing libraries.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Choose not to answer
Voting procedures are set by Florida law, not by the local School Board. I am running for this office to focus on our district’s specific needs: managing explosive growth, retaining elite teachers, and demanding absolute fiscal accountability for every taxpayer dollar. My role is to ensure our schools remain safe and high-performing, not to engage in national debates over state election statutes. I will focus my energy on serving our students and protecting our #1 district rating.

What political party are you affiliated with?
Nonpartisan
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I describe my philosophy as 'Pragmatic Problem-Solver.' My role on the School Board is not to engage in national culture wars, but to focus on local issues that directly impact our students and taxpayers. I am fiscally conservative in my approach to taxes and the school board budget. Above all, I am committed to keeping national politics out of our classrooms so we can focus squarely on academic excellence and retaining our elite educators.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Choose not to answer
My priority is ensuring our schools remain the safest in Florida. St. Johns County already has a robust safety infrastructure, including a dedicated Youth Resource Deputy in every school, integrated security technology, and comprehensive emergency operations plans developed with local law enforcement. I am focused on supporting these proven, effective security measures and empowering our staff with the resources they need to keep our classrooms safe, rather than pursuing new legislative debates.
