QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
As a Christian, I believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity, value, and worth. My conviction is grounded in Scripture (Psalm 139:13-14) and compels me to support and protect human life at every stage. A compassionate and just society should defend the most vulnerable, uphold the sanctity of life, and support individuals and families from beginning to end.
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Schools should provide compassionate support, counseling, and resources, including faith-based options, to students facing a crisis pregnancy while helping them continue their education. Parents should be notified and involved in these important decisions. Schools should respect the dignity of both mother and child, provide accurate information about available support services, and foster a culture that values life, responsibility, and family.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Agree
Individuals who voluntarily take on student loan debt should be responsible for repaying it. Broad loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to taxpayers, including those who did not attend college or who sacrificed to pay their loans. Non-profit work employment and income based repayments should have some consideration, but we ultimately need to address the rising cost of higher education.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
As an evangelical conservative, I support strong investment in K-12 public education as a community responsibility, with an emphasis on local control, parental rights, and expanding school choice options. Pre-K support should be targeted to at-risk families where it is most effective. At the college level, I favor limited government involvement, greater accountability, and efforts to reduce costs rather than expanding broad subsidies.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
As an evangelical conservative, I understand “separation of church and state” as rooted in Thomas Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptist Association, intended to prevent government establishment or control of religion—not to remove faith from public life. It protects religious liberty and keeps the state out of the church. As one nation under God, I believe schools are strengthened when moral values and voluntary expressions of faith are respected within our nation’s heritage.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Strongly Agree
ICE plays a critical role in enforcing immigration law and improving public safety by identifying and detaining individuals who are in the country unlawfully, particularly those with criminal records. Effective immigration enforcement is essential for rule of law, protecting taxpayers, and maintaining secure communities, while ensuring the legal immigration system is respected.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
Schools should not promote or partner with organizations that provide or refer for abortion or gender-transition services. Health education should be handled in an age-appropriate manner by qualified school personnel in consultation with parents, respecting family rights and community values. Schools should prioritize academic instruction, student safety, and support services that do not bypass parental involvement.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Agree
As a former educator and Administrator I can confidently say that clear and consistent consequences for inappropriate behavior are essential to maintaining a safe, orderly learning environment where all students can focus and succeed. Accountability helps reinforce expectations, supports teachers in managing classrooms effectively, and ensures that respectful behavior is upheld so that learning is not disrupted.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
Students should receive a thorough education in America’s founding documents, including the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, to understand the principles on which our nation was built. Civic education helps students appreciate our history, rights, and responsibilities as citizens. Schools should also foster an informed sense of patriotism by encouraging respect for our country’s ideals, institutions, and democratic values.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and returning greater authority to states and local communities. This approach allows education decisions to be made closer to families and taxpayers, improving accountability, reducing federal overreach, and encouraging innovation tailored to local needs and priorities.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
Sex education should emphasize abstinence, along with age-appropriate, medically accurate instruction on human anatomy, reproduction, pregnancy and fetal development, consent, and the physical and emotional health effects of sexual activity. These topics should be taught in coordination with parents. More explicit instruction on sexual practices, abortion procedures, or gender identity should be left to families rather than schools.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
American History, Civics, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Art & Music, Foreign Language, and Science. Priority should be given to core academic subjects, civic understanding rooted in America’s founding principles, practical life skills, and career preparation. Schools should avoid politicized or ideological content and remain focused on academic excellence and student development.
Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.
Strongly Agree
Public schools should prioritize strong academic achievement while also helping students develop character, responsibility, and civic understanding needed for self-government. Education should equip students with knowledge, discipline, and respect for America’s founding principles and traditions. A focus on academics and character formation helps prepare students to be productive citizens and strengthens our communities and nation.
School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.
Agree
School choice can encourage healthy competition that motivates schools to improve performance, increase accountability, and better meet the needs of students and families. When families have more options, schools are incentivized to raise academic standards and focus on quality education and outcomes.
VALUES
Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
Policies in schools and public institutions should prioritize the safety, privacy, and fairness of biological women and girls. Athletic participation and access to sex-segregated spaces should be based on biological sex to ensure equitable competition and protect vulnerable populations.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and center my life on faith in Him as Savior and Lord. I believe the Bible is God’s Word and the foundation for truth, guiding how we live, love, and serve others. My values are shaped by grace, truth, and a desire to reflect Christ in my actions, relationships, and service to my community. I believe we are called to love God and love our neighbors, live with integrity, and extend compassion while standing firm in biblical truth. My faith motivates me to serve others and seek to make a positive impact in my family, community, and work.
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
Parents have the fundamental right and responsibility to direct the upbringing, education, and health decisions of their children. Government should support—not replace—this role, ensuring that families remain primary decision-makers. Schools and public institutions should respect parental authority, promote transparency, and work in partnership with parents to support student well-being, academic success, and character development.
I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
Strongly Agree
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision that individuals should be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin is a foundational principle of equality and justice. I believe all people are created equal and should be treated with dignity and respect. Schools and communities should promote unity, mutual respect, and equal opportunity for every individual, regardless of race or background.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Marriage is a sacred, God-ordained covenant designed as the union of one man and one woman. This understanding is foundational to family, society, and the flourishing of children. Government does not define marriage but recognizes it as an institution rooted in long-standing moral and natural law principles. Policies should respect religious liberty and uphold the Biblical and traditional definition of marriage.
Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.
Agree
I agree that mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria require compassionate, evidence-based care focused on treatment and overall well-being. Individuals struggling with these challenges deserve support from qualified professionals, families, and communities that prioritize physical and psychological health. Care should be guided by medical expertise, aimed at reducing harm, and centered on helping individuals achieve long-term stability and wholeness.
School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.
Agree
I agree that literature with genuine academic or artistic value should be distinguished from obscene material; however, in K-12 schools, all library content should also be age-appropriate and aligned with community standards. Parents should have a meaningful voice in what is made available to students. Schools have a responsibility to ensure that materials serve educational purposes and support the moral and developmental well-being of children.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Requiring photo identification to vote is a reasonable and common-sense measure that helps protect the integrity of elections and ensures that every legal vote counts. Safeguards like voter ID strengthen public trust in the democratic process while still allowing all eligible citizens to participate. Election security and accessibility can and should work together to preserve confidence in free and fair elections.

What political party are you affiliated with?
Republican
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Overall, my views are grounded in a commitment to limited government, fiscal responsibility, strong support for law and order, and the protection of constitutional rights and religious liberty. I believe families and local communities should play the central role in education and decision-making, and that public policy should reflect accountability, personal responsibility, and respect for Biblical and traditional values.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Agree
I agree that school safety is a top priority and that trained, licensed personnel may play a role in protecting students and staff in extreme emergencies such as an active shooter situation. Any such policy should include strict standards, ongoing training, and clear safeguards, and should be considered alongside other comprehensive safety measures to ensure schools remain secure learning environments.
