QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Neutral

Planned parenthood offers medical services just like any other provider. If there is a legitimate medical concern for patients, then organizations can apply for funds just like everyone else.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

This is a conversation best suited to be between the person and their doctors, and the "abortion" term is outdated and poorly documented. Politicians not educated in medical fields should not step between a person and their doctors.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Agree

All people should value life as we know it from both a medical and religious perspective. It is not our place to interfere with that, and we should ensure from a legal perspective that a person's safety and decisions between them and their doctors remain private and safe.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Neutral

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

This is a misrepresented act, and bans life saving medicine, and has long been described as unconstitutional and unenforceable, even by the Supreme Court. Doctors, not politicians, should handle this discussion; and a better review of this act and related laws is warranted. We can do better to accurately ban illicit activity, and not overlap with life-saving concerns.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage needs to be raised and the corporations fighting this need to be held accountable. Raising the value of our neighbors uplifts us all.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Free enterprise is exceptional when corruption isn't present. Free enterprise should be protected, and corruption in that system should be handled swiftly.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

+ Oversight on government contracts and work; maintain experts in their respective fields to audit work regularly. + Maintain contractors with a background, not companies that have spun up overnight. + Review and curb unnecessary spending on projects not directly supporting the public. The government is for the people, by the people, not a sole individual.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Religion of "the church" should not interfere with government, and government should not interfere with, enforce, or endorse, religion of any kind. Religion is to be protected, not enforced.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

Individuals and businesses should adhere to the law, and the law should not interfere with, enforce, or endorse, religion beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B. Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. The government can provide a low cost or free option that companies have to compete with, lowering costs for private healthcare options.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

The government is not an insurance company. The government has no business monitoring and watching your private medical history. Ongoing medical illnesses should be a discussion between the doctor and patient; politicians and insurance agents are not medical professionals. Additionally, this runs the risk of turning the population into "a name and number" that negates the care provided by doctors.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Any other country and economic power is a concern, either to watch and hold accountable, or to cooperate and engage in business with. In the case of the CCP, we have seen a history of actions that can determine what economic threats they pose and how to handle it appropriately.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Having the United States' on good terms with any country is ideal, Israel is no exception; however if we don't hold our neighbors accountable for their actions, the consequences will affect us all.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Neutral

Sanctuary cities shouldn't have to exist in the first place. We need to evaluate and determine why this has become a problem in the first place and correct it.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Disagree

The U.S. Department of Education provides support at the federal level with federal funding from states across the country. We are a UNITED States, and we can make a united effort to invest in our future by supporting the education of our kids across the United States.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Neutral

If foreign governments want to pay the bills of American education, they are more than welcome to do so; HOWEVER we are not beholden to those governments for doing so, as this is an investment in the 'American' educational system.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Neutral

no child should be forced to transition.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

The government only defines marriage in the legal sense to align with taxes and assets. This is an outdated definition as marriage is a decision between two people, not two people and their government.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

People may act in their own interest in regards to gambling. The government is not required to support that decision.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

People should have the freedom to exist and believe as they feel comfortable; that's it. I was raised Lutheran, and still support many of those values today.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

Identification, home information, taxes, and verification of all these is needed regardless, and is already a requirement for voting. Photo ID adds zero benefit or function. If someone wants to use their Government Issued ID, that already has all this information needed to vote, then it should be allowed.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Neutral

If someone was attacked, harmed, or disadvantaged on the basis of race, then yes. Otherwise this is a genetic fallacy and strawman argument where race is not a concern.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

While we should ensure to protect individuals, the government does not control private organizations without the risk of affecting free enterprise. How these spaces are defined will be up to sports organizations and companies to decide, and the government can provide guidance, incentives, and enforcement to support or protect women.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Agree

Unfortunately, this has become a concern we simply can't ignore. It won't go away with the end of a politicians' term, and it affects us all. We can correct our behavior now, or suffer later.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Solar energy, and China is beating us currently. We also don't need "solar farms" to do it; we can incentivize companies to support energy infrastructure using their existing space, providing shade and energy all at once, rather than using farmland.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

"In all things, moderation." I will not make rash decisions, and I do not respond to "reactionary" media. I evaluate the issue at hand and support the decision that is best suited to resolve the matter with the lowest negative impact for both the individual and the whole.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No, never.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No, never.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

To protect the people of the United States, and to enforce the law defined by the will of the people.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Simply reviewing the mental and physical well-being of an individual, as well as any relevant criminal or reported activity at the time of purchase of a gun for ownership. I own several firearms myself, though I maintain a strict policy of public safety around these firearms to protect others.
