QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Human life is sacred. It begins at conception and deserves full legal protection until natural death. As a Christian conservative, I believe every child is a gift from God. I will always stand strong for life, support policies that protect the unborn, and defend the dignity of the elderly and vulnerable. No exceptions.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Schools should support life by providing accurate information, connecting students to community resources like pregnancy centers and churches, and involving parents immediately. We must never push abortion or hide pregnancies from moms and dads. The school’s role is to protect innocent life, promote responsibility, and point families toward hope, not end it. Every child is a gift from God. We choose life.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Student loan forgiveness is unfair. It shifts the bill to hardworking taxpayers, including those who never went to college or already paid their own way. Personal responsibility matters. Students and families should make smart choices about college costs. Schools and government should focus on lowering costs, not rewarding bad decisions with bailouts. No more free rides on someone else’s dime.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I support smart, accountable public funding for K-12 education focused on core basics, reading, math, history, and real skills. Taxpayers deserve strong results for their money. Pre-K and college should not be fully government-funded. Parents and students must take responsibility. We must cut waste, bureaucracy, and failed programs so every dollar actually reaches the classroom. Fund excellence, not endless expansion.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

"Separation of church and state" means the government cannot establish an official religion or stop people from freely exercising their faith. It does not mean banning God, prayer, or Judeo-Christian values from public schools. Students and teachers should have full religious freedom. Our schools were built on moral foundations. We must stop erasing faith and allow voluntary prayer, Bible clubs, and parental choice. Faith belongs in the public square.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Strongly Agree

Yes. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) keeps our communities safe by enforcing our laws and removing illegal aliens who break them. Secure borders and strong enforcement protect American families, students, and schools from crime, strain on resources, and chaos. Rule of law matters. Enforce the law. Secure the border.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

No. Abortion and gender-affirming providers like Planned Parenthood should not be resources in our schools. Schools must focus on education, not push abortion or gender ideology. Parents have the right to guide these sensitive issues for their own children. We protect innocence, promote life, and respect family authority. Parents decide. Schools teach basics.

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Consequences for bad behavior create safe, orderly schools where real learning happens. No more excuses or chaos. Clear rules, strong discipline, and respect restore order so teachers can teach and students can learn. Parents and communities expect safe classrooms. Discipline works. Safety first.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Educators must teach students our founding documents, the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights, and proudly cultivate American patriotism. Our kids need to know the truth about America’s exceptional history, freedoms, and values. No more rewriting or shaming our great nation. Teach pride in America.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Yes. I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education. Washington bureaucrats have failed our kids for decades. Return power and tax dollars to states, local school boards, parents, and communities. Polk County knows best how to serve our students. Less federal control means more real education and accountability. Local control works best.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

I support age-appropriate, parent-approved Sex Ed focused on biology and responsibility. Topics should include: Abstinence Human anatomy / reproductive system Stages of pregnancy and fetal development Physical and emotional health outcomes Consent No to abortion methods, sex acts/pleasures, sexual orientation/gender identity, or pushing contraceptives without parents. Parents lead on these moral issues. Schools stick to facts and basics.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Priorities for K-12 Public Schools (in order): Mathematics Language Arts Science American History & Civics Physical Fitness Vocational Learning Personal Finances Information Technology Art & Music Foreign Language Omit: Critical Race Theory, Gender Identity, Political Activism, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning. Focus on basics first. Strong academics build successful kids — not ideology.

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Public schools must prioritize real academic achievement, reading, math, history, science and build strong character: discipline, responsibility, integrity, and respect. This preserves American traditions and prepares kids for self-government and liberty. No more lowering standards or pushing divisive ideology. Academics + Character = Strong America.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Strongly Agree

Yes. School choice creates healthy competition. When parents can choose the best education for their kids, public schools step up and improve. Competition drives excellence, higher standards, better teaching, and real results for every child. Parents empowered. Schools stronger.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

No. Biological males should not compete in women’s sports or enter women’s private spaces like bathrooms, locker rooms, shelters, or prisons. Fairness, safety, and privacy for girls and women come first. Biology is real. Protect female athletes and spaces. Keep women’s sports and spaces for women.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Answer: I am a Christian who believes in God, the Bible, and the power of faith, family, and hard work. My values are rooted in Judeo Christian principles, truth, integrity, personal responsibility, and loving my neighbor. These beliefs drive me to fight for strong families, moral education, parental rights, and a better future for Polk County kids. God first. Family strong. America great.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well being. Parents know their kids best. Schools and officials must respect family authority, not replace it. Parents rights first.

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

Yes. I fully support Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s teaching: judge people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. That’s the American way equal opportunity, no discrimination, no race based policies. Every child deserves to be treated as an individual. Character over color.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Marriage is a God ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition. Strong traditional marriage builds strong families and strong communities. That’s what our kids need. Gods design. Family foundation.

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed. We help kids by addressing root causes with truth, care, and proven therapy — not rushing into life altering changes. Protect children. Follow the science and common sense. Treat. Do not affirm.

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Strongly Disagree

No. School library books must meet high standards of decency. No exemptions for obscenity, even if some call it “literary value.” Protect our kids from explicit sexual content. Parents and communities decide what belongs in schools. Keep schools safe and appropriate.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

No. Voters should show photo identification. It’s common sense to protect election integrity and prevent fraud. Millions do it every day for basic things. Secure elections build trust. Photo ID for voting.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
