As a legislator, however, I have committed to abstaining from votes on abortion-related bills. This issue is deeply divisive in our communities, and I do not want to inflame that division or cast votes that violate the conscience of any group I represent. I believe people who work full-time should earn enough to support themselves without relying on government assistance. The primary responsibility for that lies with employers, not the government. When large companies pay wages so low that taxpayers end up subsidizing their workforce through public assistance, that’s already government involvement. In those cases, setting basic standards is about protecting taxpayers and encouraging responsible business practices, not expanding government control

I believe free enterprise and private property are essential to a strong economy. Small businesses thrive when markets are competitive and government isn’t picking winners and losers. My concern is that large corporations often receive subsidies or advantages that distort the free market and leave taxpayers footing the bill. I want to see an economy where small businesses can compete fairly and succeed without government favoritism toward big corporations.

I believe education is important, and I support expanding opportunities for students and school choice for parents. But I don’t support guaranteeing taxpayer-funded college while our national debt is out of control. Before considering any new federal commitments, we need to strengthen K–12, support vocational and trade pathways, and get our fiscal house in order. Only then can we responsibly evaluate whether limited forms of college assistance make sense.

I would cut corporate subsidies and spending on projects that don’t benefit Hoosiers. Tax dollars should support local needs, not large companies or out-of-state ventures.

I believe the religious definition of marriage should be protected, and government shouldn’t punish people or institutions for holding traditional beliefs. At the same time, the legal side of relationships is a civil matter. Separating the religious meaning of marriage from the civil contract would allow churches to define marriage according to their convictions while ensuring everyone is treated fairly under the law.

I do believe Christians should be free to share the Gospel and live out their Biblical convictions without government interference. I also believe religious liberty must apply equally to all faiths. Protecting freedom of conscience for everyone is essential to a healthy and free society.

To me, separation of church and state means the government should neither control religion nor restrict people from practicing their faith. It prevents the government from establishing an official religion while protecting the freedom of all people to worship according to their convictions. It’s about keeping government in its lane and safeguarding religious liberty for everyone.

I don’t believe the government should run healthcare, but I do believe everyone should have access to basic medical care. Throughout history, when something is essential for everyone, like water or electricity, we’ve made sure people can obtain it. Healthcare is no different. The goal should be to ensure access while preserving choice and keeping government in its proper role.

At the state level, the best way to make healthcare more affordable and accessible is to increase transparency, accountability, and consumer protections in the system. When costs are clear and providers and insurance companies are held to fair standards, expenses can be spread more evenly, and families aren’t hit with surprise bills. Judeo-Christian values played a significant role in shaping America’s early moral framework, and a strong moral foundation is essential for limited government. At the same time, I believe moral wisdom can be found across many traditions. What matters most is that we uphold the principles of dignity, responsibility, and respect for others that keep our system strong.

I support protecting people from discrimination based on sexual orientation, and I’m open to protections for gender identity where the definitions are clear and workable. My concern is that ‘gender expression’ is broad and could create conflicts in areas like uniform standards, sports, and other regulated environments. I believe any non-discrimination law should protect people while also providing clear guidance for institutions and respecting religious liberty.

I was raised in the Christian tradition, and that foundation has always influenced my understanding of right and wrong. As I grew older, I went through a period of questioning and searching, trying to understand God and faith for myself rather than simply accepting what I was taught. Through that journey, I developed a personal relationship with God that guides my life today. I believe faith is ultimately about one’s relationship with God and living a life of humility, service, and moral responsibility. I respect the different ways people seek truth, but for me, what matters most is striving to live selflessly and honoring the dignity God has placed in every person.

I believe voter ID is a reasonable requirement as long as the ID is free and easy for every eligible voter to obtain. Election integrity matters, but so does making sure no lawful voter is turned away because of cost or bureaucracy. We can secure our elections without creating unnecessary barriers.

I understand the concerns people have about the Electoral College, but I also believe it plays an important role in balancing the interests of densely populated areas with rural communities. Without some form of that balance, a handful of major metropolitan areas could effectively decide every national election. I’m open to discussions about reform, but I believe any changes must preserve fair representation for all states.

Racism is harmful and morally wrong, and it absolutely threatens the domestic tranquility our Constitution explicit states as a core function of our government to insure. While I don’t view racism as a traditional national-security threat in the same sense as terrorism or foreign interference, it does undermine trust, unity, and peace within communities. Any society functions best when people treat each other with dignity and fairness, and when we work to reduce division wherever it appears.

I evaluate each issue on its own merits, and my views don’t fit neatly into a single ideological box. I lean conservative on some matters and more moderate or even liberal on others, depending on the evidence and the impact on everyday people. If I had to place myself on a scale, I’d describe myself as a centrist-leaning independent who values practical solutions over partisan labels. But left to my own devices, the only which way I lean is forward.

I’m not a career politician. I’m a Marine Corps veteran with about twenty years of combined leadership training and experience in both military and civilian settings. I also hold a degree in Business, and I’ve spent my adult life working in real-world environments where decisions have consequences and leadership matters. What qualifies me most is that I’m a regular Hoosier who understands the challenges everyday people face. No. I understand why some people worry about this, but the United States is governed by the Constitution, and the First Amendment explicitly prohibits establishing laws based on any religious code, including Sharia law. I swore an Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution when I served, and that Oath didn't come with an expiration.

I don’t believe teachers should be required or expected to carry firearms. Their job is to educate, not to serve as armed security. However, I do believe schools should have trained, qualified personnel on site who are prepared to defend students if necessary. Protecting children is essential, but that responsibility should fall on individuals who are properly trained and willing, not on teachers who already carry enormous responsibilities.

I support the Second Amendment, and I believe responsible, law-abiding citizens should have broad access to firearms. In fact, I'm a gun-owner myself, and I would love to own more. Restrictions should focus on violent criminals and individuals legally prohibited from owning guns, along with promoting proper training and safe handling. Public safety is best protected by enforcing existing laws and encouraging responsible ownership.

I would vote in favor of a well-written, responsible legalization bill, but it is not a priority for my campaign. I’ve seen the medicinal value of cannabis and understand the economic benefits, but my focus is on combating corruption, strengthening education, and lowering the cost of living for Hoosiers. If a thoughtful bill comes before the legislature, I will give it fair consideration, but I will not be the one championing or drafting it.
