QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Disagree

Public funding for healthcare providers like Planned Parenthood ensures underserved communities receive vital medical care. These resources support essential preventative services, including cancer screenings, STI testing, contraception, and routine wellness exams, for vulnerable patients who lack alternative options. Protecting this funding directly safeguards women's health and strengthens overall community wellness.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

From a clinical and bioethical perspective, reproductive healthcare decisions require nuanced medical discretion and bodily autonomy. Elective termination of pregnancy must remain accessible to protect maternal health, address non-consensual conception, such as rape or incest, and support individualized medical determinations made confidentially between a patient, their clinician, and their Maker.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Disagree

Bioethics and clinical medicine recognize the profound ethical tension between prenatal development and fundamental individual liberty. While developmental biology tracks continuous biological life, medical ethics prioritizes bodily integrity, maternal autonomy, and complex clinical realities. Protecting individual freedom requires that sensitive medical decisions remain guided by science, personal conscience, and patient self-determination.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Disagree

Reproductive medicine and clinical bioethics balance embryonic developmental potential against scientific progress and patient autonomy. While in vitro fertilization involves creating cellular human life, standard clinical protocols necessitate cryopreservation and genetic viability screening. Ensuring compassionate reproductive freedom requires allowing families and medical experts, not statutory mandates, to navigate assisted reproduction decisions.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Disagree

Enforcing historical statutes like the Comstock Act undermines evidence-based medicine and contemporary clinical standards. Regulating essential pharmaceuticals through postal restrictions rather than medical efficacy directly threatens telehealth, patient safety, and established reproductive healthcare protocols. Healthcare delivery and pharmaceutical distribution must remain governed by scientific rigor, FDA oversight, and individual bodily autonomy.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

No one working full time should struggle to afford housing, food, and healthcare. Raising the minimum wage ensures basic dignity, while strong labor unions and protected workers' rights secure fair bargaining power, safe jobs, and economic stability.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I agree that free enterprise and private property are essential to a productive economic system. Individuals and businesses should have the freedom to create, invest, compete, and succeed. At the same time, a strong economy should maintain reasonable rules that protect workers, consumers, communities, and fair competition for everyone.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Transparency: Make government spending open, accessible, and easy for taxpayers to understand. Accountability: Hold government agencies and contractors responsible for how taxpayer dollars are spent. Working Families: Prioritize programs and investments that directly benefit working families and communities. Quality of Life: Invest taxpayer dollars in improving healthcare, education, infrastructure, and economic opportunity. Efficiency: Eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and duplication.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Protecting religious freedom while preventing the government from imposing religious beliefs on the people. Thomas Jefferson described a “wall of separation” between church and state for good reason. I believe every American has the right to worship, practice their faith, or practice no religion at all. Government should protect that freedom—not dictate it.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

This is a slippery slope, but we must enforce the laws already on the books and honor the Constitution. Religious freedom is a fundamental right, but it does not give individuals or businesses a license to discriminate when providing services to the public. The law must protect individual beliefs while ensuring equal treatment and equal access for everyone.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Option B - I support government-funded healthcare being available to anyone who wants it, alongside private options. Americans already pay enormous amounts in taxes and healthcare costs, yet our current system is outrageously expensive and too often fails the people who need it most. It is time to upgrade our healthcare system, give Americans real choices, and make quality healthcare affordable and accessible to everyone.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly disagree with this. Creating a government database of Americans’ ongoing medical conditions is Big Brother government at its worst. Our medical information is deeply personal and should not be used as part of a government tracking system. America was built on freedom, opportunity, individual privacy, and personal liberty—not government surveillance. We can address healthcare costs, improve outcomes, and plan for the future without this "Big Brother" tactic.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

I support taking the threat from the Chinese Communist Party seriously. We have been dealing with China’s growing influence for decades, and vigilance is necessary. At the same time, America must act in its own best interests, protecting our national security, economy, technology, intellectual property, and global leadership while avoiding unnecessary conflict.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, our relationship with Israel is important, but it is time to reevaluate it. America cannot sacrifice our economy, growth, national security, or position as the world’s leading nation for outdated models or unquestioned policies. We should remain an ally while making decisions based on American interests, global responsibility, peace, and stability.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Disagree

Local and state autonomy protects community trust and human dignity. Enforcing existing laws responsibly while establishing clearer, accessible pathways to citizenship reflects the enduring promise of the Statue of Liberty. Guided by moral duty and God's command to welcome the stranger, we must balance order, lawful accountability, and compassionate justice.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly disagree. Eliminating the Department of Education is an oversimplification of a serious issue. States and communities should have a strong voice, but education must remain a national priority. We cannot simply eliminate a federal agency and assume everything improves. Every student deserves investment, accountability, opportunity, and a quality education, regardless of what state they call home.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

As Americans and Texans, we have a responsibility to educate our children without foreign government interference or influence. Education is the foundation of our nation’s future. We the people—our cities, school districts, states, and nation—must take responsibility for providing students with the knowledge and opportunities they deserve.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Agree

Parents have a fundamental duty to guide their child’s upbringing and values. Government should support families by fostering transparent partnerships between parents, educators, and healthcare professionals—ensuring access to quality public schools, comprehensive care, and strong safety standards that empower families and protect every child’s well-being.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Choose not to answer

This issue is far too important to reduce to a political answer. Children must come first, always. Parents, educators, communities, and government all have responsibilities for children’s safety, health, and education. We need appropriate rules, oversight, and protections, guided by what is best for children and their future—not political advantage.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Disagree

Marriage equality is a fundamental civil right grounded in equal protection and human dignity. Narrow, exclusive definitions infringe on personal freedom and fail to embrace all loving families. A welcoming, pluralistic society requires our legal institutions to honor diverse communities and ensure every couple enjoys equal recognition and constitutional protection.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Agree

I strongly support expanding gambling in Texas. We are losing economic opportunities to neighboring states while much of the country has already embraced it. Responsible expansion could generate revenue, create jobs, strengthen tourism and entertainment, and improve Texans’ quality of life. It is time for Texas to recognize the economic reality and move forward.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a follower of Christ, my faith is personal, guiding my values of humility, love, and service to others. Just as Jesus taught to "render to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s," faith thrives in genuine conviction, never state compulsion. Our Founding Fathers wisely established the separation of church and state to protect both religious liberty and democratic governance. Faith belongs in our hearts and communities, not enforced through public classrooms or civil law. Upholding this balance honors Christ’s message of voluntary grace while safeguarding the enduring constitutional freedoms essential to every American.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

No brainer, ID is needed...next question.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Choose not to answer

This issue is far more complex than a 500-word political questionnaire can address. I choose not to answer it with a simple yes or no. I respect all Americans, our diverse experiences, and the full history of America. As a candidate, I believe these important issues deserve thoughtful consideration and honest dialogue.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

This issue is far more complex than a 500-word political questionnaire can address. I choose not to answer it with a simple yes or no. I respect all Americans, our diverse experiences, and the full history of America. As a candidate, I believe these important issues deserve thoughtful consideration and honest dialogue. Having said that, I have a granddaughter and want her to feel safe and to have fairness in all of her activities in life.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Agree

Climate change is a moral emergency demanding swift political action. Unchecked pollution degrades creation, causing severe public health crises, ecological collapse, and economic ruin. The vulnerable suffer first and worst. We have an ethical duty to future generations to transition to clean energy, hold polluters accountable, and protect our shared planet.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Texas’ abundant energy resources are a gift, powering growing electricity demands from AI data centers. While oil and natural gas ensure immediate grid reliability, wise stewardship calls us to responsibly diversify our energy portfolio.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Liberal

I identify as very liberal because our current leadership has fostered an exclusive system that leaves people behind. Every Texan deserves a meaningful seat and voice at the table. That is why I am running: to champion working families, protect personal liberties, and build an inclusive, thriving future for all.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No, I have never been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court. This is not part of my lifestyle or beliefs. I also believe elected officials should be held to a higher standard. When sexual misconduct is proven, regardless of political party or position, there should be meaningful consequences, including for President Trump, who was found guilty of sexual abuse.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No, I have not. Public service demands integrity, accountability, and respect for the rule of law. A felony conviction should disqualify individuals from holding public office, including the President of the United States. Leaders must embody high ethical standards to uphold constitutional trust, ensure national security, and maintain the public's faith in democratic governance.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

Our criminal justice system must uphold current laws, punish criminals, and prioritize fairness, accountability, rehabilitation, and victim safety over political or financial motives. For-profit private prisons are unacceptable because profit incentives undermine justice and genuine reform. We must defend constitutional rights, protect communities, and ensure equal justice for all, without allowing incarceration to become a business.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Protecting children online requires active, shared vigilance across society. Beyond government policy, parents, educators, and tech platforms share a collective duty to enforce robust safeguards, foster open communication, and monitor digital spaces. Safeguarding young people from exploitation demands proactive education, strict platform accountability, and immediate action whenever threats emerge.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Agree

The U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy and Establishment Clauses already guarantee that no foreign or religious legal code can ever supersede American law. Manufacturing fear around this settled reality is an intentional tactic designed to divide our communities, scapegoat our Muslim neighbors, and unfairly treat fellow citizens as "the other" for votes.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We must honor and defend the Second Amendment while protecting our communities. The solution is strictly enforcing the laws already on the books, prosecuting violent offenders, and prioritizing mental health intervention. Upholding constitutional rights and ensuring safety for our families go hand in hand without infringing on law-abiding citizens.
