OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

As a former Foster parent who worked with children and know horrible things happen. I do have compassion for those who are victims of rape and incest.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

If a child reaches out to the Counselor or teacher, I feel they should listen to the child and then possibly offer help. They can reinforce to the child they are not alone, and that they have the listeners support. They can offer to allow the school employee to off her/his help in getting them the information they may need or want and making sure they get the resources they are asking for. Validate the student and that we are a safe place to come to. Teacher and staff should not give medical advice but offer resources. Be there but stay within the boundaries of the law as well as the confidentiality.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Agree

I feel that if you are given these loans that you should pay the money back. However, I do love the incentive of teaching in schools that need the great teachers to have loan forgiveness so I guess that puts me in the Agree category.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I support responsible government investment in public education from pre-K through because strong schools and an educated workforce strengthen our entire community. When we support K-12 schools, and affordable pathways to higher education, we strengthen families, grow our economy and prepare students for life.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

For our schools, separation of church and state means students are free to pray, reflect, or express their beliefs as long as it doesn't disrupt learning-but the school district itself stays neutral. We shouldn't endorse or discourage any religion. We create a space where every child feels respected, whether they're Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, atheist or anything else. It's about respecting the diversity of our community.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Strongly Agree

ICE helps protect the safety of our neighborhoods by identifying and taking into custody people who are not legally present in the United States.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

A school should not offer ideas of these services to the students. They should provide the child to the resources for professionals who will work with the family and the child to make the right decision for themselves.

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

We must work with families to help our education system build respect and support for our teachers and Principals. In order for learning to take place a classroom must have a safe environment. When students have consequences, classrooms stay calm, safe and focused. A structured environment helps teachers teach and students learn without constant disruption.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

Students benefit when they learn about America's founding documents. like the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence, because these texts explain how our government works and what rights and responsibilities we all share. Under standing these principles naturally builds appreciation for our country and the freedoms we enjoy

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

I believe decisions about schools are most effective when they're made close to the students they affect. Local communities and state understand their ow needs better than a distant federal agency. Shifting more control back to states and local districts can allow for greater flexibility, faster problem solving and policies that reflect the values and priorities of each community.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

I support age-appropriate, medically accurate health and sex education that focuses on safety, consent healthy relationships and factual information.. Instruction should be aligned with Florida Standards, respect parental rights and be developmentally appropriate at each grade level. I support including topics such as human anatomy, the reproductive system, consent abstinence, contraceptive methods and the physical and emotional health outcomes related to sexual activity.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Civics, American history, Technology, Vocational learning Foreign language, Art and music, Physical education, Personal fitness, social-emotional learning, Sexuality (age-appropriate health education)

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Strongly Agree

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should be considered males in sports and public facilities.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and believe in God

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Parents are the ones primarily responsible for making decisions about their child's health, their child's education, their child's over all well being. Parents not the government

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

I stand with Dr. Kings belief that people should be valued for their character, not their skin color. I believe in Dr. King's vision every child and every adult deserves to be judged by who they are, not what they look like and I live by those values.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Strongly Disagree

I believe school materials should comply with state law and I also believe decisions about literary values should be made by trained educators or media specialists. Books with clear educational or literary merit should be reviewed thoughtfully and placed appropriately by grade level to ensure both legal compliance and student well being

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

If we must show ID to cash a check, go to a doctor, fly on an airplane then voting in America of course we should show ID
