What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
School must not be involved in these matters. Instead, a school‘s main job is to focus on education. We need to teach students how to learn and think critically. This prepares them to become lifelong learners and successful citizens.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Our students are a vital resource. Every dollar we invest in them, comes back to us when they work, innovate and drive growth to our economy. We are already invest heavily in K-12 education. Supporting student loan forgiveness simply expanded investment to specialized fields, and it will ultimately pay for itself.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Our students are our greatest asset. I support full funding for education from pre-K through a four-year college program. This invest in our youth responsibility without paying for advanced, graduate degrees, building a skilled workforce to help our economy grow.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means schools focus on academic instruction. Using religious texts and books for literary value and history, not not to push beliefs. Keeping this rule is the best way to protect a real religious freedom for all.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Strongly Disagree
While safety is important, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has to be chaotic. They have often wrongly detained, beaten deported and killed lawful bystanders and citizens. There he’s a real lack of accountability when the agency mistreats people and makes grave unfortunate errors.
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Abortion and gender affirming care is a health care issue that must be addressed between a patient and their doctor. Not a public servant or a school.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Yes. The most important aspect in teaching these topics is the age and maturity of the students who will learn these sometimes difficult subjects.

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

I agree with prioritizing academic achievement, and character building for students to be solid and cohesive members of society. Where I differ is the “to preserve American traditions.” As that can be interpreted in many ways. What some might call a cherished American tradition others may deem outdated and excludes certain groups. I don’t believe traditions should be force, I just think history should be taught.
School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

I oppose using taxpayer dollars to fund and support private for-profit charter schools. Public taxpayer dollars should stay in public schools to make sure every child has access to a quality education.

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

This cultural war issue affects less than 1% of the population, drawing a disproportion amount of focus away from urgent challenges, like expanding vocational programs, improving student performance, and properly resourcing our educators. I choose not to participate in this political distraction.

I believe in God, and I keep my spiritual beliefs separate for my public service. I support a strict separation of church and state, i’m inspired by family and a shared responsibility to care for others. I firmly believe in making decisions based on evidence and research grounded in reality and in the idea that if we know better, we will do better. My commitment to help the vulnerable is a lifelong value reflected in my years of volunteering to make a tangible difference in my local community.
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
