QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Choose not to answer

I am declining to answer because this is a state and federal legislative issue that falls entirely outside the scope and authority of a local school board. My focus is entirely on running safe, high-performing schools for our kids.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

I believe the role of a school district in any situation involving a student crisis, including an unwanted or crisis pregnancy, is to ensure that the student is safe, supported, and connected to appropriate resources. My guiding principle is that every student deserves compassion, guidance, and access to support services during a crisis, while decisions related to healthcare remain appropriately between the student, their family, and qualified medical professionals.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Choose not to answer

I am choosing not to answer this question because it is a federal legislative debate. As a school board candidate, my priority is solely on local K-12 operations: raising academic standards, improving student safety, and supporting our teachers.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I support strong public funding for education from Pre-K through higher education, because it is one of the most important investments in our future. At the same time, those funds must be used responsibly, transparently, and with a clear focus on student achievement and outcomes.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

In a public school system, our responsibility is to ensure that every student, regardless of their religious background, feels safe, respected, and included. We serve a diverse community, and our schools must remain focused on education. I believe the best approach is one of fairness and neutrality: protecting students’ constitutional rights while ensuring that public schools remain centered on academics, character, and shared respect for others.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Choose not to answer

I am choosing not to answer this question because it is a federal legislative matter. My priority for our schools is local safety, ensuring our campuses have secure perimeters, proper resources, and an environment where students can focus entirely on learning reading, writing, civics, and math.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Choose not to answer

I am declining to answer this specific organizational litmus test because my position is clear: any instruction regarding sensitive personal health topics must be fully transparent, strictly age-appropriate, and structured to respect parental oversight. Outside political advocacy groups should not dictate curriculum or services in our schools.

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Agree

I agree completely. We cannot achieve academic excellence if our classrooms are disrupted. Establishing clear, consistent consequences for behavioral issues is about creating a safe, orderly environment where teachers can teach and every single student has the opportunity to learn without distraction.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Agree

I agree completely. A thorough grounding in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights is essential to academic excellence. Our schools must get back to the basics, and that includes high standards for American history and civics. By ensuring students deeply understand our founding documents, we build a strong educational foundation and foster a healthy, unifying appreciation for our nation's heritage.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Choose not to answer

I am declining to answer because abolishing or restructuring federal agencies is an issue for Congress, not a local school board. My focus is entirely on our community: ensuring our local schools provide academic excellence, safe environments, and complete financial transparency for our taxpayers.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

I support a health curriculum that focuses strictly on biology, human anatomy, and healthy choices, while completely respecting the role of parents. Public schools should stick to objective, age-appropriate science. Highly sensitive or ideological topics do not belong in the standard K-12 curriculum, and parents must be given complete transparency and the absolute right to opt their children out of any health-related instruction.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

These subjects form the bedrock of K-12 education, are legally mandated across all states, and are critical for standardized testing, graduation, and future success. Language Arts, Mathematics, American History, Civics, Science, Information Technology, Vocational Learning, Personal Finances, Foreign Language, Physical Fitness Art & Music, and Social Emotional Learning.

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Agree

I agree completely. The historic mission of the American public school system is to provide a rigorous academic foundation while cultivating the civic character necessary to sustain a free, self-governing society. By prioritizing merit, literacy, and personal responsibility, we prepare our children to inherit, preserve, and improve our nation's finest traditions.

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Agree

I agree. Healthy competition naturally fosters innovation, efficiency, and a renewed focus on performance. Embracing a culture of accountability means we don't fear competition; instead, we use it as a powerful incentive to elevate our public schools, ensure tax dollars are spent wisely, and deliver an unmatched academic experience for every student.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Disagree

I disagree. Title IX was established to ensure biological females have equal, fair, and safe opportunities in education and athletics. To maintain competitive fairness in sports and to guarantee privacy and security in private spaces like locker rooms and restrooms, we must preserve these categories based on biological sex.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Raised in the Catholic Church, my spiritual beliefs are rooted in faith, family, and a duty to serve my community. These values shape my commitment to doing what is right, leading with transparency, and working to ensure every child in our district has a safe, supportive environment to reach their full potential.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

I agree completely. Parents have the ultimate responsibility for their children, and public schools are at their best when they act as trusted partners to families. By ensuring complete transparency in curriculum, health decisions, and school policies, we respect parental rights and build the strong foundation our children need to succeed.

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

Dr. King’s vision is a cornerstone of American ideals and must be a foundational principle in our public schools. True fairness means treating every child as a unique individual, rewarding hard work, and ensuring that merit, character, and academic effort—not outward demographics—are the standards by which our students are judged and supported.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Choose not to answer

I am not answering this question because it is irrelevant to the duties of a local school board. The voters are electing a board to manage our community's education budget and protect classroom safety. My energy is entirely dedicated to ensuring our public schools are safe, transparent, and academically rigorous for the families we serve.

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Agree

I agree that public schools should not act as clinical or medical providers. Complex psychological and medical conditions require professional, evidence-based care directed by a student's parents and qualified medical specialists. The school's role is to ensure absolute transparency with families and provide a safe, focused learning environment, while leaving healthcare decisions entirely to the parents.

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Choose not to answer

I am not answering this question because it presents a false choice. Existing laws already protect works of true literary value. My focus remains on ensuring age-appropriate materials and absolute transparency for parents.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Choose not to answer

I am not answering this question because it is irrelevant to the duties of a school board. The voters are electing a board to manage our community's education budget and protect classroom safety. My energy is entirely dedicated to ensuring our public schools are safe, accountable, and academically rigorous for the families we serve.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

NO

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2014 Republican Primary 2014 General Election 2016 Republican Primary 2016 General Election 2018 Republican Primary 2018 General Election 2020 Republican Primary 2020 General Election 2022 Republican Primary 2022 General Election

I have consistently participated in Republican primaries and general elections. While my personal voting record reflects my foundational beliefs in fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and accountability, I am running for a non-partisan school board seat. In this role, my only allegiance is to the parents, taxpayers, and students of our community, not a political party. Excellent schools, safe classrooms, and transparent budgets are values that unite all of us.

What political party are you affiliated with?

Republican

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I describe myself as a conservative because I believe in foundational principles: fiscal responsibility with taxpayer dollars, respect for constitutional liberties, and the essential role of the family. In the context of our school board, this means keeping our budget lean, keeping our focus strictly on academic fundamentals, and respecting the ultimate authority of parents.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Disagree

Our priority must be placing dedicated, fully sworn law enforcement officers and School Resource Officers in every school. Teachers should be focused entirely on teaching. While I fully support a multi-layered security system and hardening our campuses against threats, managing tactical active-shooter responses must be left to trained law enforcement professionals.
