I believe every child’s life has value, and my focus as a school board member is ensuring that every student in our schools is treated with dignity and given the opportunity to thrive.

A school’s role is to ensure that any student facing any crisis has access to support, accurate information, and a safe environment. Schools should connect families and students with trained counselors and community resources while respecting legal requirements and parental rights. School boards do not make medical decisions, but we are responsible for ensuring families and students are supported and not left to navigate crises alone.

Student loan policy is determined at the federal level, not by school boards. My focus as a school board member is ensuring that students graduate prepared for college or careers without unnecessary barriers. I support financial literacy, strong academic advising, and pathways that help students make informed decisions about their futures.

Public education funding is determined at the state and federal levels. At the local level, my responsibility is to ensure that our Pre-K–12 public schools receive fair, transparent, and responsible funding so students and teachers have what they need to succeed. College funding is outside the authority of a school board.

Separation of church and state means that public schools cannot endorse or promote any specific religion, while still respecting the individual rights of students to express their personal beliefs. As a school board member, my responsibility is to ensure that our policies follow the law and create an environment where all students feel safe, respected, and able to learn.

My focus is ensuring that every student in our schools feels safe, is able to learn, and has access to the resources they need. Eliminating the U.S. Department of Education is a federal policy issue. At the local level, my priority is ensuring that Brevard’s schools have the resources and flexibility they need to meet every student's needs while complying with state and federal law.

Any health or sexual education curriculum in our schools must follow Florida law, be age-appropriate, medically accurate, and approved through the district’s established review process. Instruction should focus on human anatomy, reproductive health, consent, and safety, and must respect parental rights. Outside organizations are not used unless permitted by law and approved by the district. My priority is ensuring students receive factual, age-appropriate information within state guidelines.

The core priorities of a K-12 public school are strong academics, student safety, and preparing students for life after graduation. Foundational subjects such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Civics, and American History are essential. Schools should also help students develop skills like communication, problem-solving, and responsible decision-making, and provide opportunities in Art & Music, Physical Fitness, Technology, and Vocational Learning. Curriculum must follow state standards.

That includes teaching critical thinking, respect for others, and an understanding of our nation’s civic principles. Schools should focus on education, not political agendas.

At the same time, I am grateful to live in a country where people hold a wide range of views and can express them freely. As a school board member, my responsibility is to serve all students and families, regardless of their political beliefs, and to keep our schools focused on academics, safety, and responsible governance- not partisan politics.
