QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

None.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

All human life deserves equal protection and equal justice. Life begins at the moment of fertilization. Intentionally taking a life in the womb should have the same legal penalties as taking a human life after birth. All parties involved in the destruction of human life should be subject to investigation followed by appropriate legal penalties applied according to their degree of participation.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The human embryos created via IVF are subjected to grading standards akin to eugenics beginning at the moment of fertilization. The small humans with slower growth or undesirable genetic traits are discarded (ie, killed), and/or reserved to the back of the line when deciding which embryos to transfer into the womb. The humans that are considered worthy of not being thrown out may be transferred to the womb, frozen indefinitely, or donated to science. The entire practice should be abandoned.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

In a free economy, a business should be able to balance what the job was worth and what they can afford to pay without government regulation. Higher minimum wage also raises the cost of goods and services so the benefit of higher wages is wiped out.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

-Pull funding from agencies where fraud is discovered. Eliminate agencies who don't comply with investigations. - Prosecute those involved in fraud. -No tax payer funded subsidies for private business. That's not the function of government. - Congress should not be able to vote on their own salary increases. Put it to a public vote.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The phrase originated from a letter assuring a citizen that the United Stated would not have a state mandated church, and that the people of this country would not be subjected to the same restrictions on their religious liberty that they fled from in England. It does not mean religion has no influence in government, but simply that all people have religious freedom as stated in the constitution. Worship how you choose but if your faith does not influence your politics, you have no faith at all.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Between C and D. There is a distinction between medicare and medicaid. One of them is correlated with social security and available upon retirement and many people have already paid into that fund and should benefit from what they have already paid for. However, as controversial as it sounds in today's culture, healthcare insurance is not a fundamental right. Also, highly regulated insurance drives up the cost of healthcare. Privatized competition drives costs down and creates innovation.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. I believe the Bible teaches that God will bless those that bless Israel. Ultimately, He sets up government for His purpose and we will be judged as a nation for how we respond to Him.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that Jesus is God incarnate, that we are saved from eternal damnation by believing He died to take the penalty for all our sin and those that believe in Him have the Holy Spirit indwelling. I believe that living out my faith should encompass all areas of my life and that includes informing my political stances. The way I've answered these survey questions about politics and the positions I hold regarding how I live my daily life are informed by the Word of God and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I won't apologize for that or change that if I were to be elected to office. I will act on my faith in whatever sphere I'm in.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Fossil fuels are still the most reliable source of producing electricity, followed by nuclear energy. The so-called renewable or environmentally friendly sources, such as solar and wind, are not that cost effective or environment friendly at all.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The obvious answer is justice for criminal behavior. That involves penalties and punishment for unlawful acts. While things like mercy, rehabilitation, counseling, etc, have their place in society, the justice system should have a singular function of doling out consequences in an unemotional and impartial manner.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

In addition to protecting the children exposed to online influences, the production of pornography, at it's core, involves the exploitation and trafficking of women and children and should be banned wholesale. What children view or hear on a computer screen is just the tip of the iceberg.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law may be dressed up as a religious preference, but it is, in fact, a political and governmental ideology that is diametrically opposed to the Constitution of the United States and contradicts much of our legal code.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Citizens have the constitutional right to bear arms. There are no caveats to that. We are never safer if the government has more rights than the average citizen. When someone chooses to commit a violent act, their weapon of choice is not the issue. Punish the person committing the crime without restricting the freedom of those who did nothing wrong.
