QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

An elective abortion should only be allowed due to a medical condition that puts the mother at risk of losing her life or if the embryo is no longer viable and the safety of the mother is at risk.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage should be raised but not in a large amount at one time. The cost of living has increased dramatically since the last minimum wage increase in 2009. Currently Wyoming minimum wage is $5.15 and the federal wage is $7.25.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Cut the administrative bloat in state and federal agencies Review and re-negotiate governmental contracts for services Clean up the regulations and overreach of government in agencies and administration.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me this means that the government and the church should be separate from each other. Government should not give favor or punishment to any individual or entity based on their religious beliefs or practices. Our government should not control or be controlled by religion.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and businesses are allowed to serve or not serve any one of their choice. Government agencies may not pick and choose since they are funded by the taxpayer. Individuals and private businesses should be free to provide services at their own freedom.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C. We do not need more government funded programs. Wyoming needs more choice, more competition for those choices, and protect the Wyoming citizen from bloated insurance companies overcharging for services.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. I believe that there are ways for the statistics of medical treatment to be obtained without singling out individuals or having personal information regarding the patient. If the government was so concerned about the economic burden of treatment, then they should be doing more to find the cures for the illnesses and making the treatment for those illnesses accessible to more of the general public.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

The US - Isreal relationship is a significant element of our foreign policy. The relationship has been shaped by long-standing strategic and diplomatic considerations. The importance of this relationship is how it is best stewarded in light of wider regional and national interests.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

The government should not be involved in the raising of children. I believe that Wyoming should take a look at the Department of Family Services and how the entire system may be failing our communities, families and children.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

The parent should be evaluated for mental health issues along with the minor child.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Disagree

I have seen the devastation and financial destruction that gambling has brought to numerous Wyoming families. If gambling continues in this state, we need to expand our recruitment of gambling addiction providers throughout the state. At this time, the amount and type of gambling is all that Wyoming can handle without causing more damage and destruction.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes in God's grace, forgiveness, and the call to live with humility, integrity, and compassion. My faith guides me to hold my ethics and values to a high standard. I have high standards and do not shy away from difficult conversations.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Choose not to answer

I am unclear on what this statement is referring.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Technically, Nuclear power is the most reliable energy source for energy.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The criminal justice system should be to protect communities, provide justice pursuant to the law, and hold criminals accountable for breaking the law. The criminal justice system should also provide protections and support for the victims of crime and encourage rehabilitation of criminals to become productive members of our communities again.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Agree

Parents have that responsibility first. We cannot depend on the government to raise our children or become a surrogate to our own responsibility as a parent.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Neutral

This is a form of discrimination of individuals that are seeking to practice their own religion and honor their culture. Do I agree with Sharia law? No.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None.
