RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Taxpayers should not be compelled to subsidize organizations that perform or promote abortions. Public funding for legitimate women’s healthcare should go to providers that do not take innocent human life.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
No elective abortion should be permitted. Medical treatment may sometimes be necessary to save a mother’s life, but the purpose of that treatment should be addressing the serious medical condition, not intentionally ending the life of her unborn child. Both mother and child deserve every reasonable effort to protect their lives.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Every human life has inherent dignity and deserves protection, regardless of age, ability, dependency, or stage of development.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
Human dignity does not depend on the method by which a life was conceived. Human embryos should not be intentionally created, used, or destroyed as disposable material.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
Federal laws should be faithfully enforced according to their text and controlling court decisions, including the applicable requirements concerning unlawful intent.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Wages are generally best determined between employers and employees through a competitive labor market. Large government-mandated increases can eliminate entry-level jobs and disproportionately burden small businesses.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise and private property encourage work, investment, innovation, responsibility, and opportunity. Government should protect a fair marketplace rather than pick winners and losers.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Require zero-based budgeting so programs must regularly justify their spending. 2. Conduct sunset reviews and eliminate ineffective or duplicative programs. 3. Modernize outdated technology and procurement systems while requiring clear, publicly reported performance measures.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Government may not establish an official religion, but it also may not prohibit the free exercise of religion or exclude people of faith from public life. The Constitution protects religious liberty; it does not require government officials, schools, or citizens to pretend that faith has no place in society.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Government should not compel a person to speak, create, endorse, or directly participate in conduct that violates a sincerely held religious or moral belief. Religious liberty and freedom of conscience must receive meaningful protection.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C - Medicaid and Medicare should remain available for eligible populations, but I oppose expanding government-controlled healthcare. Reforms should instead increase competition, price transparency, provider availability, and individual choice while preserving a responsible safety net for the truly vulnerable.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
The government should not maintain broad, personally identifiable registries of citizens based on their medical conditions. De-identified public-health information may be useful, but individual medical privacy must be protected.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The United States must protect its military readiness, infrastructure, technology, intellectual property, supply chains, and agricultural resources from exploitation or control by the Chinese Communist Party.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is an important strategic and democratic ally in a dangerous region. Cooperation with Israel supports intelligence sharing, counterterrorism, regional stability, and the security interests of both nations.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
Local governments should cooperate with lawful federal immigration enforcement, especially when dealing with people who have committed serious crimes. Cities should not adopt policies that deliberately obstruct federal law or endanger public safety.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Education is best directed by parents, teachers, local communities, and states rather than a distant federal bureaucracy. Any transition should preserve legitimate services while returning decision-making authority and accountability closer to students and families.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Agree
Foreign governments should not be permitted to buy influence over American curriculum, research, university policy, or students. Foreign funding should be strictly limited and fully disclosed, particularly when it originates from governments hostile to the United States.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Parents have the primary right and responsibility to make decisions concerning their children’s education, healthcare, upbringing, and moral formation. Government should support parents, not secretly or unnecessarily replace them.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Children should be protected from irreversible medical interventions intended to alter their sex, and schools should never socially transition a child without the parents’ knowledge and involvement. Policies should be compassionate, clear, and centered on the child’s long-term well-being.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
I believe marriage is the lifelong union of one man and one woman. Government must also protect the religious liberty of individuals and institutions that teach, practice, and operate according to that belief.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Neutral
I am not seeking to expand gambling in Kansas. Before considering any additional gambling, the state should honestly evaluate the social costs, addiction, family consequences, and financial results of what has already been authorized.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a practicing Catholic who believes that every person is created by God and possesses inherent dignity. My faith calls me to protect life, strengthen families, serve my neighbors, defend religious liberty, and treat public office as a responsibility rather than a source of personal power. I try to apply the principles of faith, family, personal responsibility, subsidiarity, and service in both my personal life and public decisions.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Reasonable photo-identification requirements help protect public confidence in elections and ensure that each lawful voter receives one vote. The state should also make appropriate identification readily accessible to eligible voters.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Government should treat every individual equally under the law rather than assign benefits or liabilities based on race. We should address present injustice and expand opportunity without imposing collective guilt or racial discrimination.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Women and girls deserve fairness, safety, privacy, and equal athletic opportunity. Sex-based protections should be based on biological sex, particularly in sports and intimate or vulnerable settings.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
We should be responsible stewards of the environment and recognize that human activity can affect it, but sweeping mandates, carbon taxes, and politically selected technologies can raise costs without delivering meaningful results. Innovation, conservation, reliable energy, and market-driven improvements offer a more responsible approach.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Kansas should pursue every economically viable energy path, including nuclear, natural gas, renewables, and emerging technologies, while prioritizing reliability, affordability, and real performance over mandates.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The criminal justice system should protect the public, uphold the rule of law, provide justice for victims, hold offenders accountable, and respect constitutional due process. When possible, it should also encourage rehabilitation, restitution, and successful reentry so that offenders do not create additional victims.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Government should vigorously investigate and prosecute trafficking, grooming, child sexual-abuse material, and the online exploitation of minors while respecting constitutional protections for lawful speech and privacy.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
The United States Constitution and duly enacted American laws are controlling. No foreign or religious legal code, including Sharia law, may supersede constitutional rights, equal protection, due process, or American law.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment protects the fundamental individual right of law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms. Existing laws concerning convicted violent criminals and individuals found dangerous through strong judicial due process should be enforced. Government should focus on violent offenders rather than burden responsible citizens with registries, firearm or magazine bans, arbitrary waiting periods, or one-size-fits-all mandates.
