QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe human life is created in God's image and is inherently valuable. An elective abortion being something performed as a matter of choice vs out of medical need is horrific. Our broader goal should be one that champions life, protecting the unborn and walking alongside mothers and families. This means strengthening support for women in crisis, and championing adoption.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I think the best way to raise wages is a strong economy with less onerous government regulations. Wages go up when workers are in demand, not when government sets the price.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. Look at repealing regulations before adding new ones. Use the REINS framework to create a sunset schedule for every administrative rule unless proven otherwise. Restore legislature's oversight of agency rule making. 2. Return surplus to taxpayers, don't spend it. 3. Balance the budget. We cannot spend more money than we take in. 4. Accountability for all taxpayer dollars. Invest and restore legislative oversight, ex. Audit DPI.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I think this is often misunderstood to mean legislators should check their faith at the door. The founders never intended us to eliminate faith from public life. What the 1st Amendment actually means is it prevents the government from establishing an official state church and it guarantees free exercise of your faith. My faith shapes who I am and the decisions I make and I will ensure every Wisconsinite has the ability to freely worship without government intrusion.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes it is strategically important. We have shared values and interests bound by a common Judeo-Christian heritage. Israel is a democratic ally in the Middle East. At the same time, I think every alliance has to serve the American people first and asking the questions of if our partnerships are strong, accountable and in our national interest are worthwhile conversations to have.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I strive to root my identity in Him not in anything of this world. I believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and outlines how we should live and treat one another. I believe we all fall short of the glory of God but its in our walk and commitment to obedience to Him that sustains us. I think God called me to step up and run for public office and I believe I am obediently following the path he has outlined for me.

Any mental health professional treating a patient with gender-identity or sexual-orientation issues should be required to affirm whatever the patient proclaims with regard to their identity.

Strongly Disagree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear and natural gas. Nuclear is carbon neutral and our best long term bet. Natural gas is essential and reliable in the near term.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The number one goal is to keep the public safe. Enforcing the laws, supporting law enforcement and locking up criminals. I do believe in redemption for those who have paid their debts and are ready to turn their life around.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2nd Amendment is a God given right enshrined in the Constitution. The fundamental right to self defense is an inalienable right and not a privilege bestowed by government. Restrictions on lawful gun owners are not the way to make the public safer. I work in the firearms training and self-defense world, and I've seen up close that the answer to public safety is more responsible, well-trained, law-abiding gun owners.
