Separation of church and state was intended to prevent government control of religion, not religion's influence on society. Faith helps shape the values, morals, and principles of many Americans, and it is both natural and appropriate for those convictions to inform how we govern and make public policy.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. As a veteran, I have seen firsthand the challenges that can come with government-managed healthcare systems. Medicare and Medicaid serve important roles for those who depend on them and should remain available, though there is always room to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. I do not support expanding government control over healthcare. The best healthcare outcomes are driven by competition, innovation, patient choice, and a strong private sector, not one-size-fits-all.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Americans deserve medical privacy and medical freedom. Healthcare costs can be studied using anonymous data without creating government databases that track individuals based on their personal medical conditions.
