RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
My position is that abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive tax payer funds from federal, state or local governments (including Title X grants)
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe human life begins at conception and that every unborn child has inherent value and dignity. Cases involving rape and incest present some of the most difficult moral questions in public policy because they involve both a victimized mother and an innocent child. While I have great compassion for victims, I continue to believe that the child's life has value and deserves protection. I would prefer to see the child carried to term and placed for adoption, even in cases of rape or incest.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Every person has inherent dignity and worth, regardless of age, health, ability, or circumstance. Public policy should protect the sanctity of life and support the most vulnerable members of our society, including the unborn, the disabled, and the elderly.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
I believe the Comstock Act should be enforced according to its terms unless it is amended by Congress or invalidated by the courts. Consistent enforcement of the law is an important part of upholding the rule of law, and my position is consistent with my belief that human life deserves protection from conception until natural death.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Workers deserve fair pay, but wages are best determined by the market, not government mandates. As a business owner, I know good employees must be compensated fairly while protecting small businesses from regulations that increase costs & reduce jobs
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
I strongly support free enterprise and private property rights. Economic freedom, entrepreneurship, and private ownership are essential to individual liberty and prosperity. As a business owner and farmer, I believe people should have the right to enjoy the fruits of their labor and make decisions about their property with limited government interference.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Conduct Regular Audits 2. Zero based budgeting: No automatic budget increases, agencies must justify every dollar spent. 3. Eliminate unused government property. Sell or repurpose state-owned buildings and office space that taxpayers are maintaining but not using. 4. Reduce Administrative Bureaucracy 5. Sunset reviews: Periodic reviews of boards, commissions and programs to allow them to automatically expire if they no longer serve a purpose.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
To me, separation of church and state means government should not establish or favor a religion, nor interfere with an individual's right to practice their faith. It protects religious freedom; it does not require people of faith to leave their beliefs behind when serving in public office. As a Christian, my faith guides my values of service, compassion, personal responsibility, and respect for human life. I will defend religious liberty and uphold the Constitution.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. I believe Medicare and Medicaid serve an important role in caring for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those facing significant financial hardship, and those programs should remain available. However, I do not support expanding government-funded healthcare beyond those core programs.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose government databases that track individuals' medical conditions to assess the economic burden of their care. Medical information is private, and every person has inherent dignity and worth regardless of age, disability, illness, or healthcare costs. Public policy should protect privacy, human dignity, and vulnerable populations, not reduce the value of a person's life to a financial calculation.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
This issue is primarily within the authority of the federal government and would not fall under the direct responsibilities of a Wisconsin State Senator. As a State Senator, my primary focus would be on issues affecting Wisconsin families, taxpayers, farmers, businesses, education, public safety, and state government.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is one of America's strongest allies and the Middle East's only stable democratic nation. Our countries share a commitment to liberty, the rule of law, and security. While allies may disagree on specific policies, the U.S.-Israel partnership remains vital to regional stability, peace, and our national security. I support Israel's right to exist, defend itself, and maintain a strong alliance with the United States.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support sanctuary cities. State and local governments should cooperate with federal immigration authorities and uphold the rule of law. I support legal immigration, but immigration laws should be enforced fairly and consistently.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and returning authority to states and local communities. Parents, teachers, and local school boards understand the needs of their students better than federal bureaucrats. The educators I speak with want greater local control, less red tape, and the flexibility to make decisions that best serve their students and communities.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
I support parental rights in education, including school choice, educational transparency, and the ability of parents to review curriculum and instructional materials. I also support the right of parents to opt their children out of activities, instruction, or programs that conflict with their values or beliefs. Strong families are the foundation of strong communities, and public policy should respect and reinforce the role of parents rather than diminish it.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
I believe attempts to physically or socially transition children constitute child abuse and should be prohibited by law. Children deserve protection from coercion and ideological influences that create confusion about biological reality and personal identity. Young people experiencing distress deserve compassionate counseling that addresses underlying issues. Parents must remain informed and involved in decisions affecting their children's health, safety, and well-being.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
I believe marriage between one man and one woman provides the ideal foundation for raising children and remains the cornerstone of a strong and healthy society. I believe children generally benefit from the love, stability, and complementary influence of both a mother and a father. I also believe strong families are essential to the well-being of our communities and that public policy should encourage and support family formation, parental involvement, and stable homes for children.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support the expansion of gambling in Wisconsin because gambling addiction can have devastating consequences for individuals and families. While it may generate revenue, the social costs often outweigh the benefits. I believe government should promote policies that strengthen families and communities rather than expand activities that can contribute to addiction and financial hardship.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian whose faith guides my values of integrity, compassion, personal responsibility, service to others, and respect for the dignity of every human life. My faith influences how I treat others, serve my community, and strive to do what is right. I believe every person is created in God's image with inherent worth and dignity, and that no child is born in the wrong body.
Any mental health professional treating a patient with gender-identity or sexual-orientation issues should be required to affirm whatever the patient proclaims with regard to their identity.
Disagree
I oppose requiring mental health professionals to affirm whatever a patient proclaims regarding gender identity or sexual orientation. Mental health professionals have an ethical obligation to exercise independent clinical judgment and to help patients explore the underlying causes of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I strongly support voter photo identification requirements and proof of citizenship for voter registration. These common-sense safeguards help ensure that only eligible citizens vote, protect election integrity, and maintain public confidence in the electoral process. The United States is a constitutional republic, and secure elections are fundamental to preserving the rule of law and the legitimacy of our representative government.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose reparations based on race. Every American should be treated equally under the law regardless of race, ethnicity, or ancestry. Individuals should not be held responsible for the actions of previous generations. Public policy should focus on expanding opportunity, strengthening families, improving education, and promoting economic growth. People should be judged by their character, contributions, and actions—not the color of their skin.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
I strongly oppose allowing biological males to participate in women's sports or access to spaces designated for women. Women's sports, bathrooms, locker rooms, shelters, housing, and correctional facilities exist to protect fairness, privacy, safety, and equal opportunity for women and girls. Public policy should uphold those protections while treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
I do not believe man-made climate change is a global threat requiring urgent political action. The Earth's climate has changed throughout history and will continue to change over time. While we should be responsible stewards of our environment by reducing pollution, protecting our air and water, and conserving natural resources, I believe environmental policy should be guided by practical solutions, innovation, and common sense rather than alarmism or burdensome government mandates.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I support nuclear energy because it provides reliable, affordable electricity with a small land footprint. I oppose large-scale wind and solar projects due to concerns about farmland loss, impacts on human health, wildlife and rural communities.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I am a constitutional conservative who believes in limited government, individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, strong families, parental rights, religious freedom, and the sanctity of life. I support free enterprise, secure borders, a strong national defense, and the protection of our constitutional rights. I believe government should protect our freedoms, uphold the rule of law, and empower citizens—not replace personal responsibility or local control.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect citizens, provide safe communities, enforce laws equally, and hold offenders accountable for their actions. Public safety, the rule of law, and equal justice under the law must remain the foundation of our criminal justice system while ensuring constitutional rights and due process are protected.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
I believe government has a responsibility to protect children from online sexual exploitation and to enact reasonable safeguards that limit children's access to inappropriate content. Parents also have a critical responsibility to monitor, guide, and protect their children online. Protecting children requires both strong laws and active parental involvement.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
I do not support the incorporation of Sharia law or any other religious legal code into the American legal system. The Constitution, Bill of Rights, and laws enacted through our constitutional process provide the legal framework for our nation. All Americans should be governed by the same laws and afforded the same rights and protections under the Constitution.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I do not support additional restrictions on law-abiding gun owners. Public safety is best protected by enforcing existing laws, holding violent criminals accountable, addressing mental health concerns, and ensuring prohibited individuals cannot obtain firearms. I also believe firearm safety should be taught to children, so they understand the responsible handling of firearms and the importance of gun safety. The Second Amendment rights of responsible citizens must be protected.
