I believe that Planned Parenthood and other organizations provide important services such as STI screenings, cancer screenings, general health screenings, provide birth control options, help people who are interested with natural family planning, and other vital services. I believe it is important that those are funded for the people who need them

I believe that abortion is a private discussion between a woman and her medical provider. If she wishes to include her family or her faith in that discussion, she should be able to.

I believe there is no feasible way to protect embryos that were artificially created from desteuction. We can't give the embryos with someone else's genetics to interested families without the donor's consent. We can't artificially birth embryos, and we can't force a donor to birth all of the collected embryos. I also find it cruel to keep them indefinitely. I also do not think IVF and other methods should be banned. I firmly believe that families who can't conceive naturally should have option

The Comstock Act is outdated. Many states allow abortion drugs and denying transport would infringe on their state rights.

I believe the minimum wage should be a living wage. At roughly $22/hr, a single person can cover basic needs like housing, food, transportation, healthcare and retirement. People deserve the chance to work, provide, and thrive.

I believe free enterprise and private property are foundations of a productive economy. Government should not unnecessarily interfere with private enterprise, but a healthy free market requires fair competition and reasonable rules. We should prevent monopolies, protect workers and consumers, and ensure small businesses and family farms can compete. The goal is an economy where people are free to build, own, work, and invest.

My priorities are auditing state programs and contracts for waste and duplication, improving transparency and competition in government contracting, consolidating overlapping administrative functions where appropriate, and requiring measurable results from taxpayer-funded programs. I also believe eliminating waste should not mean simply cutting essential services; the goal should be making government more efficient and accountable while protecting the services Ohioans rely on.

Separation of church and state means protecting both religious freedom and freedom from government-imposed religion. I believe this is the purpose of the First Amendment's Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses, even though the exact phrase “separation of church and state” doesn't appear in the Constitution. People of faith should be free to bring their beliefs and values into public life, just as people of different faiths or no faith should be.

Individuals have the right to hold and practice their own moral and religious beliefs, but businesses that choose to serve the public should generally be required to provide their services without discrimination. Religious freedom protects people from government-imposed beliefs; it should not give a business a blanket right to deny ordinary services to someone because of who they are. At the same time, I believe there should be room for legitimate religious exemptions in appropriate circumstance

B. I believe every Ohioan should have access to affordable, quality healthcare, regardless of income or employment. I support a publicly funded option that is available to anyone who wants it, while preserving private healthcare choices for those who prefer them. I also believe we should look for ways to make medical, dental, and vision coverage more affordable without shifting unreasonable costs onto working families.

I support collecting and analyzing healthcare data to understand costs, treatment outcomes, and the economic burden of illness, but I do not believe the government should maintain a database of individuals' medical conditions for that purpose. Healthcare information is deeply personal, and people should have strong privacy protections. Where possible, research should use de-identified or aggregated information while still giving policymakers the data they need to make responsible decisions.

I agree that the Chinese Communist Party poses significant military, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and economic challenges to the United States. I believe the United States should take those threats seriously while avoiding unnecessary hostility toward the Chinese people or Americans of Chinese descent. We should protect American workers, businesses, technology, and national security while continuing to pursue diplomacy and areas of cooperation where possible.

The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is important because of our shared security interests, longstanding diplomatic relationship, and Israel's role as an important partner in a strategically significant region.I also believe the U.S. should be willing to hold allies accountable and pursue policies that protect civilians and support a lasting, peaceful resolution to the Israel- Palestine conflict. Supporting the relationship doesn't require unconditional support of all actions of Israel .

I support the ability of local governments to establish policies that limit their involvement in federal immigration enforcement so local law enforcement can focus on public safety. Undocumented people should be treated with dignity and should be able to report crimes/seek emergency assistance without fearing that doing so will lead to immigration enforcement. I recognize that immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility and that serious and violent crimes should be investigated

States and local districts already have primary control over how schools operate, including curriculum, academic standards, staffing, and day-to-day administration. I support maintaining strong state/local control rather than increasing federal direction, I do not support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education. The federal government has an appropriate role in protecting students' civil rights, ensuring equal access to education, supporting students with disabilities, and providing info.

Foreign governments and entities should not be able to use financial support to exert undue influence over American education, research, curriculum, or academic policy. However, I would not support a blanket prohibition on all foreign funding or legitimate international academic partnerships. I support strong transparency requirements and appropriate restrictions when foreign funding creates a national security concern or attempts to influence American educational institutions.

Parents should have a meaningful voice in their children’s education and health, but that right cannot be absolute. Public schools have a responsibility to provide accurate, age-appropriate information that protects students’ health and well-being. Parents can teach their values at home, while schools should provide factual education on anatomy, reproduction, contraception, and STIs so students can make informed decisions.

I do not believe that a child's gender identity or appropriate treatment for gender dysphoria should automatically be characterized as child abuse. Gender dysphoria is a recognized medical condition, while being transgender itself is not classified as a mental disorder. Treatment should be based on the individual child's circumstances, evidence-based medical guidance, and appropriate involvement of parents and qualified healthcare professionals. The goal should be health and well being.

I respect that many people believe marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, and religious institutions should be free to hold and practice that belief. But civil marriage is a legal institution, so the government must provide equal rights and protections to all couples. No church should be forced to perform a marriage it does not recognize, and no religious definition of marriage should be imposed through civil law.

I personally do not support expanding gambling in Ohio. I believe gambling can be harmful to individuals and families, particularly when people develop significant debt or begin tying their self-worth to financial success. I believe gambling should be restricted to adults 21 and older and limited to regulated casino-style venues rather than continually expanding access through additional forms of gambling. I also question using gambling as a substitute for responsible state revenue.

My spiritual beliefs are rooted in compassion, human dignity, personal responsibility, and treating others as I would want to be treated. I believe people should be free to practice their faith according to their conscience, and I try to approach people with humility and respect even when we have different beliefs. I believe we have a responsibility to care for our neighbors, stand up for people who are vulnerable, and leave our communities better than we found them.

I support secure elections and reasonable measures to verify voters' identities. Ohio provides free state ID, and I support making identification accessible. I don't believe a photo ID should be an absolute requirement to cast a ballot. Ohio's provisional ballot process provides another mechanism for verifying a voter's eligibility and identity. We should protect election integrity while ensuring that an eligible voter who encounters an ID issue is not unnecessarily prevented from voting.

I am undecided on reparations. I recognize the lasting effects of slavery and discrimination and the disparities that remain. I support addressing historical inequities and expanding opportunity, but I believe any reparations program should be carefully evaluated for fairness, eligibility, structure, and effectiveness.

I oppose blanket bans based solely on sex assigned at birth. Policies should consider the specific setting, evidence, and legitimate safety concerns. In athletics, physiological factors such as hormone levels should be considered. I support allowing transgender people to use public facilities consistent with their gender identity while protecting privacy and safety. Shelters and prisons may require individualized policies.

I believe human activity is contributing to climate change and that it poses serious long-term risks to our communities, agriculture, economy, and environment. I support taking action, but that action should be practical, science-based, and mindful of working families, farmers, and rural communities. We should invest in cleaner and more efficient technologies, reduce pollution, and build a resilient energy system without unnecessarily driving up costs or abandoning the communities and workers.

I favor solar but believe we need an all-of-the-above energy strategy. Solar, storage, nuclear, natural gas and other technologies should compete based on reliability, cost, environmental impact and innovation.

I believe government should protect people’s rights, provide a fair playing field, and step in when concentrated power harms workers, consumers, or communities. I am willing to consider ideas from across the political spectrum and believe policy should be guided by evidence, practical results, and the needs of the people I represent.

The criminal justice system should protect the public, hold people accountable, and provide a path toward rehabilitation. Those convicted should face appropriate consequences while being treated with basic dignity. Incarceration should focus on rehabilitation, education, job training, and addressing underlying causes of crime so people can successfully re-enter society, contribute to their communities, and avoid returning to prison.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation and other serious harms online. Parents also have an important role, but individual families cannot reasonably be expected to police every risk created by large technology platforms. I believe companies have a responsibility to design and manage their platforms in ways that protect children, respond appropriately to exploitation, and prevent known predators from using their services to harm minors.

I support the Second Amendment and the right of law-abiding Americans to own firearms. I also support common-sense gun safety measures, including universal background checks for all firearm sales, including private sales. Background checks should be inexpensive and accessible. Responsible gun ownership and reasonable safeguards can coexist without unnecessarily infringing on constitutional rights.
