Taxpayer funds should not pay for elective abortions. But otherwise qualified providers should remain eligible for restricted funding for lawful non-abortion care, including cancer screenings, contraception, and basic reproductive healthcare. Funds should be limited to authorized services and audited. Ohio should reduce abortion by making pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, and parenting more affordable, not by cutting unrelated care.

Ohio's Constitution protects reproductive decisions, and I will respect Ohio voters. Before viability, the decision belongs to the patient and doctors. After viability, Ohio may regulate abortion but must protect care needed for the patient's life or health and when a fetus cannot survive. Politicians cannot write one rule for every medical crisis or put prosecutors between families and doctors.

Unborn life has moral value, and I want fewer families to feel abortion is their only option. But full legal personhood from conception would criminalize constitutionally protected care and threaten IVF, miscarriage treatment, and difficult medical decisions. Ohio should protect life through prenatal care, affordable childbirth, paid leave, adoption support, and help for parents, not by prosecuting women and doctors.

Embryos deserve moral seriousness, but personhood laws could prohibit IVF and expose families and doctors to criminal liability. My family has faced infertility, IVF, and complex genetic conditions, so these are not abstract questions. Donated eggs, sperm, and embryos help create families. Families should decide, with medical guidance and according to conscience, whether embryos are used, stored, donated, or respectfully disposed of. Donation should be encouraged, never coerced.

The 1873 Comstock Act should not be repurposed as a national abortion ban or used to block lawful medication from the mail. Congress should clarify or repeal obsolete provisions rather than let executive officials stretch them beyond their modern legal context. Medications should be regulated for safety and prescribed through lawful medical practice.

I support a reasonable wage floor with gradual, predictable increases. Changes should be phased in and tested for effects on workers, small businesses, and entry-level jobs. We must also lower housing, childcare, and healthcare costs.

Free enterprise and private property support prosperity and individual independence. Government should be a fair referee. Protect property, enforce contracts, prevent fraud, and address genuine harm. It should not pick favored corporations, bury small businesses in arbitrary delays, or privatize profits while leaving taxpayers with the risk.

Government may not establish religion, coerce belief, favor one faith, punish conviction, or force faith out of public life. The First Amendment protects both free exercise and freedom from state-imposed religion. Officials may be guided by faith, but laws must serve people of every faith and none. I fought religious extremism and theocracy overseas. I will not stand by while any group tries to impose either here.

Government should protect religious exercise, conscience, speech, and expressive association. No one should be compelled to create a custom message that violates a sincere belief. But businesses open to the public should generally sell the same ordinary goods and services to customers on equal terms. Religious liberty deserves real protection; it should not erase another person's equal civil status.

B. Government-funded healthcare insurance should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. Every Ohioan should have reliable coverage without forcing everyone into a government monopoly. I favor regulated competing plans, a public option or another guaranteed coverage route, and continued private choices. The goals should be universal access, understandable prices, less administrative waste, and freedom to choose doctors and coverage.

Government can study aggregate, anonymized health data without building a registry of identifiable patients and illnesses. Medical privacy must protect against surveillance, discrimination, political misuse, and breaches. Public-health data collection should have a clear purpose, use the least identifiable information possible, follow strict retention rules, and face independent privacy and security review.

The Chinese Communist Party presents serious military, cyber, economic, and intellectual-property threats. The United States should protect critical infrastructure, sensitive technology, supply chains, and Americans' personal data. Our response should be disciplined and targeted, not an excuse for reckless war or blanket economic isolation.

I served in Iraq and Afghanistan, so I do not treat military commitments as abstractions. Cooperation with Israel can benefit both countries, but the blank check is over. Aid, weapons, diplomatic support, or military involvement must advance a defined American interest, comply with U.S. law, require transparency, burden-sharing, and congressional oversight. Partnership must go both ways. America should not guarantee every decision by Israel's government.

Due process protects persons in the United States, not only citizens, and immigration enforcement cannot discard protections against unlawful seizure. Enforcement should focus on the border and serious public-safety threats. Local police should honor lawful warrants but should not become a dragnet for federal civil enforcement. Mistaken detentions show the danger of rushing removal without review. Government must never make people prove citizenship only after seizing them.

Congress created the Department of Education; an executive cannot simply abolish it. The department should follow its own organizing law by supplementing, not controlling, state and local schools. It should protect civil rights, administer programs Congress enacted, publish useful evidence, and support teachers and parents while giving communities flexibility. What works in one district may not work in another.

A blanket prohibition is too broad. Foreign governments must not buy hidden influence over schools, universities, research, or curriculum. Funding and contracts should be fully disclosed, and arrangements that compromise academic independence or national security should be barred. But transparent scholarships and legitimate research partnerships should remain lawful when they surrender no control or create no security risk.

Parents ordinarily bear the deepest responsibility for a child's education, health, formation, and safety. Government should respect that role, provide meaningful information, and require due process before interfering. Parental authority is not unlimited when there is clear abuse, neglect, or immediate danger, but disagreement with the government should never itself be treated as abuse.

A blanket child-abuse label is too broad and would criminalize parents, counselors, and doctors across very different circumstances. Irreversible treatment for minors requires strong evidence, parental involvement, age-appropriate safeguards, and careful review of risks and alternatives. But listening to a distressed child, using a requested name, and seeking counseling should not automatically be child abuse.

I believe marriage is a sacred bond between two consenting adults. In practical terms, marriage is also a civil legal status, and the government should treat couples equally regardless of sex. No church, minister, or private officiant should be forced to perform or endorse a ceremony that violates their conscience. Still, religious liberty does not justify denying consenting adults equal access to civil marriage.

Ohio has gone far enough by legalizing casinos and sports betting. Adults may use what is already lawful, but the state should not keep expanding gambling as a revenue strategy. So-called prediction markets are too loosely defined and offer too little public or tax benefit to justify their risks. They are especially vulnerable to insider manipulation and fraud. Ohio should regulate existing gambling responsibly rather than create new categories.

I am a Christian. My faith teaches that every person has inherent dignity, leadership is service, and power is stewardship. My politics begins with reciprocity, never grant government power over your neighbor that you would fear in an opponent's hands. Public servants should tell the truth, keep promises, admit mistakes, protect the vulnerable, and treat opponents as neighbors. Government must protect every person's faith and conscience without forcing a creed on anyone.

I support verifying voter identity, and Ohio now offers free state ID cards. But obtaining one may still require documents, transportation, time off work, and navigating bureaucracy. If photo ID is required, every eligible voter needs a genuinely free, accessible path to receive and replace one. Security technology may help, but it needs strict privacy protections. I support voter ID only when government bears the burden of making it universally accessible. We aren't there yet.

Government should remedy specific, documented wrongs, including discrimination by public institutions, when harmed people or lawful claims can be identified. I do not support assigning benefits or liability solely by race. Policy should repair proven harms, enforce equal protection, and expand opportunity without creating new racial classifications.

This question is rage bait. It bundles sports, bathrooms, shelters, associations, and prisons into one litmus test despite different legal and safety issues. Women's sports should preserve fair competition using sport and age-specific evidence. Prisons and shelters require individualized assessments protecting vulnerable women and transgender people. Schools should protect privacy and dignity through practical accommodations, while private associations retain constitutional rights.

Human activity is changing the climate. While politicians debate it, insurers are already pricing its costs and risks into your premiums. If you do not trust the science, trust the actuaries. We need abundant clean, reliable energy, especially advanced nuclear; a modern grid; resilient infrastructure; and technology-neutral standards. We do not need symbolic bans, unreliable mandates, or policies forcing working families to bear costs created by major polluters and speculative projects.

Advanced nuclear and SMRs provide reliable, low-carbon power, but no source should carry the grid alone. Gas supplies firm power; solar, storage, and transmission add flexibility. Judge each by reliability, safety, cost, impact, and public return.

I selected moderate, but reformer better describes me. I am a Libertarian, Army veteran, software developer, and father. I want to refine, not worship or destroy, the systems we inherit. Leadership is stewardship. Reform must respect complexity, anticipate second-order effects, and pass a reciprocity test. Would I accept this power in my opponent's hands? I want free people, fair rules, competent institutions, honest government, and a freer, more functional country for our children to inherit.

Public safety comes first, through proportional accountability, restitution, rehabilitation, and successful reentry. Prison should focus on people who endanger others, commit serious fraud or repeat predation, or repeatedly reject lesser sanctions. First-time, low-level, nonviolent offenders should usually receive diversion, treatment, restitution, or supervised community sanctions. Ohio should publish safety, recidivism, restitution, employment, and treatment results.

The Epstein case showed that child exploitation is not merely online. Wealth, influence, institutional failure, and official neglect can enable it. Government must target child sexual abuse material, trafficking, grooming, extortion, and predatory conduct. Platforms must preserve evidence and report exploitation. Enforcement must be precise and constitutional. Protecting children cannot become a pretext for mass surveillance of lawful speech, private messages, or adults' identities.

This question is more culture-war caricature than legal analysis. Sharia is a broad religious and moral tradition, not a foreign statute book waiting to invade Ohio. It may guide private conscience but cannot override constitutional or civil law. Muslims retain equal free-exercise rights, including voluntary arbitration subject to genuine consent, contract law, and judicial review. Theocracy in any form, imposed by any religion, is repugnant to liberty and the Constitution.

I am a gun owner, Army veteran, and father who has lost fellow service members to firearm suicide. I support the Second Amendment and oppose bans on commonly owned firearms and registries. Restrictions for violent offenders or acute, demonstrable crises require individualized evidence, due process, prompt judicial review, and restoration rights. Ohio should promote voluntary training, secure storage, suicide prevention, and temporary crisis options. Responsibility, not prohibition.
