Taxpayers should not pay for abortions. That is not the same as banning the procedure. Public money should go to prenatal care, childbirth, and families — not to underwriting a procedure I personally oppose.

I do not like abortion. Access should remain for the life of the mother, rape, incest, and when the child has a condition incompatible with life. I want fewer abortions because a family can actually have the child. That includes fully free childbirth — the state should not bill a mother for bringing a child into the world.

Human life should be protected and supported. I will not sign a total ban from conception that wipes out remaining access. The state's job is to make it possible to have the child, not to settle a church question with a criminal statute.

I want more of our own citizens to be able to have children. IVF should be covered almost in full by the state for citizens, the same way I want fully free childbirth. I will not ban the medical process or write an embryo criminal statute that makes IVF impossible. Help families have kids first.

I oppose abortion. I will not use a 19th-century statute as a backdoor ban on medication shipped between states. The real fight is culture: show successful families, make childbirth free, and make it realistic to raise a child here. That cuts abortions more than a mail ban.

Washington already has a high minimum wage. I will not keep stacking yearly hikes that close small shops. Pay should follow skills and hours. Cut housing, tax, and energy costs so a paycheck buys a life — raising the floor is not the same as raising

I work with my hands and I run a small business. If you cannot own tools, a shop, or a house, you do not have a stake. Markets need rules against fraud and monopoly — not a state that replaces the owner.

1. Stop programs that cannot show a result and a maintenance plan after the ribbon-cutting. 2. Audit homelessness and social-service contracts: beds and streets, not more offices. 3. No blank checks for transit and capital projects that blow the budget. 4. Cut duplicate agencies and reports nobody reads. 5. Score spending by risk reduced and local benefit per dollar.

The Founders were, by and large, God-fearing men, and that moral soil mattered. They still refused a state church. The government does not pick an official religion, and a church does not run Olympia. People may worship, or not.

The state should not force a private person or a small shop to speak or serve against their faith or moral beliefs. That is not the same as an emergency room turning someone away. Adults can take their business next door. Compelling a baker or a printer is not tolerance.

C. Keep Medicare and Medicaid. Do not build a government monopoly. The core problem is middlemen — PBMs and billing layers that hide the real price and charge many times the cash cost. Post real prices. Let people pay cost-plus. I would add fully free childbirth and near-full IVF coverage for citizens, not another insurance maze.

The state does not need a roster of sick people to price their lives. Hospitals already bill. Public health already tracks outbreaks. A government illness database to measure “economic burden” is a file I will not vote to build.

The CCP is a rival: military, cyber, stolen know-how, ports and supply chains. They also spend money to loosen what holds a country together — campuses, media, apps — and to make people unsure of their own house. Build ships, cyber defense, and a real industrial base here — chips, medicine, port gear — so we do not have to beg Beijing for the parts. Fight if we are hit. Do not start a war to look busy.

U.S. interests first. Israel is an ally when it serves those interests: intelligence and a partner that fights networks that also hit us. Israel looks after Israelis. We look after Americans. That is not a blank check and not a church test. A state representative’s job is still SeaTac and Olympia. Foreign policy is federal — I will not pretend I command a carrier group.

I came here legally and I followed the line. A city should not run a second immigration policy. Work with federal officers. Do not hide the file and do not shelter violent offenders — crime does not become harmless because someone crossed a border. Cooperation gives the public more control, a clearer picture, and safer streets than fighting the federal government in court.

Close the whole department and you still need a common floor: read, write, math, and basic civics so a kid from SeaTac and a kid from Spokane can function in one country. How the class is run should stay with the district and the parents. I want standards that mean something. I do not want D.C. running Highline day to day.

A foreign government should not buy the lesson plan. We should take good ideas from anywhere — and decide here what we keep. Local boards and the state write the program, not a foreign ministry and not someone else’s propaganda shop.

Sex is male or female. A school or a clinic should not socially or medically put a child on the other track. After 18, adults live their private life. That is not the state's project and it is not a lesson for a classroom.

Two sexes exist. A child still comes from a man and a woman, and that is the family the law should help first. Adult same-sex marriage is a civil contract between adults. I will not spend my term trying to unwind it. I will spend it on parents, schools, and kids — not on a culture war about who gets a license.

In my family only my grandmother lived as a regular believer. The rest of us came to God in hard moments. I am the same. I know what the Bible says. Faith is a companion, a map, and a set of instructions — how not to lose yourself, and how to find yourself if you did. I believe in God, especially when life hits. I also know why that matters for a country: family, limits, and a reason to get back up.

A vote should belong to a real, eligible person. Photo ID is a normal ask. Mexico and India require it. Clean rolls and a matching signature make the count honest and open. That is how you get “no kings”: no one parked in a seat for 14 years — or 34 — owning the result. I will not pretend ID is oppression.

The state should help a person who is poor, hurt, or locked out — not write a check by race. I came here with no American ancestor on a plantation and no claim on anyone else’s guilt. Equal rules. Equal law. Need is not a color.

Sex is male or female. Women’s sports, locker rooms, shelters, and prisons are for women. After 18 adults live a private life. That does not include taking a girl’s race or a woman’s locked ward.

The climate moves. That is not a blank check for urgent politics that raise the light bill. Green rules pushed us toward other people’s oil. The companies do not cut the price, and the state does not cut the fuel tax when people are hurting. Score work by clean water, salmon, fire risk, and a bill people can pay.

Hydro first — we already have it. Nuclear for firm power that runs at night. Gas as backup until the grid is honest. Wind and sun are extras, not the base. Reliability before ribbons.

I am conservative on borders, crime, parents, and sex as male and female. I am not looking for a pulpit. Everything in measure. Time does not stand still. Take what works, drop what does not, and keep the floor: family, work, and the law.

First: keep the public safe. Mercy for the offender is a sentence on the innocent. Soft-on-crime policy is a failure. The floor on sentences is too low: people walk around with a stack of warrants and they are back on the street in an hour. Punishment that actually arrives is what deters the next crime.

Children are not content. Platforms that profit from grooming or porn aimed at kids should face the law. Parents come first — and many are not villains. They are at work trying to feed a family, and a kid is left with a phone. Look at how the child got there. The state is not a second parent. It is the backstop when a company or a predator crosses the line.
