RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
Government has a responsibility to promote the general welfare of all people. Defunding healthcare providers such as Planned Parenthood limits access to essential services, including preventive and reproductive care, for many Americans. In a diverse society, public policy should respect differing beliefs and protect individual rights. Healthcare funding decisions should focus on public need and access to care, not on imposing a particular moral viewpoint.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
For instances of rape, incest, or the health of the woman. This is a decision left to the woman, her God, and her family, not government
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Agree
Every human life has value and deserves legal protection from conception until natural death. Government has a responsibility to defend the dignity and rights of all people, especially the most vulnerable. Public policy should support mothers, children, families, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly while promoting alternatives that respect life. Protecting human life and providing compassionate support
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Disagree
The Comstock Act was enacted in 1873, long before the realities of modern medicine, technology, and healthcare delivery. Public policy should reflect the needs and circumstances of the 21st century rather than rely on laws written for a vastly different era. These laws should be updated and clarified to address current medical practices, technological advances, and the healthcare needs of today's Americans while protecting individual rights and ensuring legal certainty for patients
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
The federal minimum wage has failed to keep pace with the cost of living. Raising it would help working families, reduce poverty, and strengthen the economy by increasing consumer spending and economic opportunity for millions of Americans.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Private property rights and free enterprise are essential to a strong economy. When individuals and businesses can benefit from their hard work, investments, and innovation, they are encouraged to create, compete, and grow. Competitive markets driven by consumer choice are often more efficient. Government should protect property rights, enforce contracts, and prevent monopolies while allowing entrepreneurs and workers the freedom to succeed and join a union in a fair marketplace.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Cap Congressional salaries 2. Consolidate redundant services 3. Repurpose unused government buildings for the unhoused and veterans 4. Eliminate "Use it or Lose it" budgets 5. Reign in Government credit card usage
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Government should serve and represent all people, regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof. In a diverse society, public policy should be based on constitutional principles, individual rights, and the public good—not the doctrines of any particular faith. Protecting religious freedom means ensuring that no single belief system is imposed through government action, while preserving every person's right to practice their faith freely
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
When a business chooses to serve the public, it assumes a responsibility to provide goods and services without discrimination. Individuals retain their rights to free speech and personal expression, but those rights do not override a business's obligation to serve the public equally. While private individuals may make personal choices about whom they associate with, employees acting on behalf of a business should provide services consistent with the law and the principle of equal access for all.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
I support a healthcare system that offers both strong public and private options. Government-funded healthcare coverage should be available to all who choose it, ensuring that no one is left without access to affordable care. At the same time, individuals should retain the freedom to select private insurance plans if they prefer different providers, coverage levels, or networks. A balanced system that includes both public and private options promotes access and better outcomes for patients
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
Databases tied to individuals’ ongoing health conditions raises serious concerns about privacy, discrimination, and unequal treatment. Public policy should prioritize protecting personal health information while ensuring that any data collected for economic or public health purposes is de-identified and used responsibly. If health data is necessary for planning or research, it should focus on trends and conditions rather than identifying individuals
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Disagree
China presents real challenges to U.S. cyber security and economic interests, particularly in areas such as network security and global trade. However, there is also debate among experts about the real threat. Some view China as a significant strategic competitor, others argue that an existential threat may be an overstatement. I believe the U.S. should respond with firm, balanced policies that protect national security while maintaining diplomatic and economic engagement where possible.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
It is important because of our shared strategic interests, security cooperation, intelligence sharing, and economic and technological collaboration. At the same time it should be continually evaluated to ensure it aligns with U.S. national interests, supports regional stability, and reflects American values and commitments to diplomacy and human rights. There is no "magical" connection between our two countries. That belief sometimes pushes us towards policies that do not make sense
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Agree
Immigration policy should be humane and focused on legal pathways to citizenship. Individuals awaiting resolution of their immigration status should be treated with dignity and not face unnecessary fear or persecution. Local communities, including sanctuary jurisdictions, can play a role in ensuring public safety and helping connect people to legal resources and due process. However, immigration systems must also be fair and consistent, with a clear path toward legal status
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Disagree
Its key functions include managing federal student aid like FAFSA, Pell Grants, and loans; providing supplemental funding such as Title I to support low-income students and students with disabilities; and enforcing civil rights laws to ensure equal, non-discriminatory access to education. These are necessary from a federal standpoint to ensure the states aren't violating these rights. The curricula and graduation standards are already left to the states
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Neutral
This needs to be considered on a case by case basis. If it benefits our education without endangering our national security, I do not see a problem with it.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
Government should respect parents as primary decision-makers in their children’s health and education while recognizing that children also have independent rights and needs. Public policy should support families with transparent information, access to quality healthcare and education. However, in situations involving safety, abuse, or serious harm, the state has a responsibility to intervene to protect the child’s well-being.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Choose not to answer
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Government should not base civil law on religious doctrine. In a pluralistic society, the state’s role is to ensure equal legal rights and protections for all citizens, regardless of personal beliefs about marriage. Individuals are free to hold and practice their religious convictions, but civil marriage laws should remain separate from religious definitions to ensure fairness, equal treatment, and constitutional protection for all couples.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Agree
While gambling is a controversial issue, I believe that when it is properly regulated and responsibly managed, it can provide economic benefits to a community. Effective oversight can generate revenue for public services, create jobs, and support local businesses while helping ensure consumer protections and measures to address problem gambling.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My values are shaped by both my faith and my commitment to the Constitution. While those perspectives do not always align perfectly, I believe it is important to apply the principles appropriate to the office I serve. I strongly support civil rights, civil liberties, and accountable government that works to promote the general welfare. I believe in hard work, personal responsibility, and individual opportunity. At the same time, I recognize that people can face difficult circumstances, and a strong society should be willing to offer a hand up when our neighbors need help getting back on their feet.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
Requiring a photo id is like a poll tax. There are some people who cannot afford an id. If it is required, then it should be offered for free from the state requiring it.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Neutral
Reparations per se no, but a return of property stolen by others, absolutely
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Neutral
I believe competitive sports should be structured to ensure fairness for all athletes, and that biological differences can be a legitimate consideration in women's sports. At the same time, I believe every person deserves dignity, respect, and equal treatment in public life. We should approach questions about shared spaces with common sense, compassion, and a commitment to respecting the rights and safety of everyone involved.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Agree
There is a scientific consensus that human activity contributes to climate change and that environmental challenges require responsible action. And I totally side with the scientific community. We must balance environmental stewardship with economic growth by investing in practical solutions, supporting innovation, strengthening infrastructure, and protecting communities from severe weather. Our goal should be a cleaner, healthier future while maintaining affordable energy and a strong economy.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
To ensure a strong economy and a healthy environment, we must expand our energy portfolio and reduce reliance on fossil fuels where practical. Investments in nuclear, wind, and solar power can help meet growing electricity demands
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Liberal
I believe in individual rights, civil liberties, and protecting our democratic way of government. I am willing to embrace social change and that the government should protect civil equality and provide social welfare while helping individuals become self sufficient. I believe in being broad-minded, open to new ideas, and tolerant of different beliefs or unconventional lifestyles.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
Not at all
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The criminal justice system must protect public safety while ensuring fairness and accountability. I support a balanced approach that holds offenders responsible for their actions, deters crime, and keeps dangerous individuals off our streets. At the same time, we should invest in rehabilitation and restorative programs that reduce repeat offenses, support victims, and help individuals become productive members of society. Addressing the poverty issue in our nation will decrease these burdens
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Agree
I support the U.S. Constitution as the supreme law of our nation. America was founded on the principle of religious freedom, which protects every individual's right to practice their faith. At the same time, our legal system must remain secular and apply equally to everyone, regardless of religion. No religious code should supersede the constitutional rights, liberties, and protections guaranteed to all Americans.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I strongly support the Second Amendment, but I also believe we have a responsibility to address the tragic loss of life caused by gun violence. We can protect constitutional rights while pursuing common-sense reforms, including strengthening background checks, closing gun sale loopholes, and enforcing tougher penalties for firearm-related crimes. Responsible gun ownership and public safety should go hand in hand.
