RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
I believe taxpayer dollars should continue to support preventive healthcare services provided by organizations like Planned Parenthood, including cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing, and other essential healthcare services for women and families. Federal law already prohibits most taxpayer funds from being used for abortion procedures. I support ensuring that individuals have access to quality healthcare while respecting a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe the decision to have an abortion is deeply personal and should be made by a woman in consultation with her healthcare provider, guided by her individual circumstances and values. While I recognize that people hold sincere and deeply held beliefs on this issue, I believe government should not make these private medical decisions for women and their families.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Disagree
I believe every human life has inherent value and deserves dignity and respect. At the same time, I believe women have the right to make their own healthcare decisions.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Disagree
I support access to fertility treatments and believe decisions regarding embryos created through IVF and other assisted reproductive technologies should be made by patients, their families, and their healthcare providers. These are complex medical and personal decisions, and I do not believe government should unnecessarily interfere in them.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Disagree
I believe healthcare decisions should be made by patients in consultation with their healthcare providers, not by the government. While medications should be prescribed and used safely and legally, I do not support using the Comstock Act to broadly restrict access to legally prescribed reproductive healthcare medications across state lines.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I believe every Arkansan who works hard deserves a fair wage that allows them to support themselves and their families. As the cost of living continues to rise, wages should be reviewed periodically to ensure they remain fair and competitive. At the
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
I agree that free enterprise and the right to private property are fundamental to a strong economy. Entrepreneurs, small businesses, and property owners help create jobs, drive innovation, and strengthen our communities. I also believe government has a responsibility to ensure fair competition, protect consumers and workers, and create opportunities for everyone to succeed. A healthy economy is one that encourages business growth while ensuring prosperity is shared across our communities.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Increase transparency and accountability. 2. Reduce government inefficiency. 3. Strengthen oversight of state contracts.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The separation of church and state means that government should not establish or favor any one religion, while protecting every person’s constitutional right to freely practice their faith or choose not to practice a religion at all. It ensures that people of all beliefs are treated equally under the law. To me, separation of church and state is about balancing faith and freedom.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. No one should face discrimination when seeking lawful goods or services because of who they are or what they believe. When these rights come into conflict, I believe we should seek balanced, practical solutions that respect both religious liberty and equal treatment under the law. Courts and lawmakers have an important role in carefully weighing these situations on a case-by-case basis.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
I support using anonymous, aggregated public health data to track diseases, improve healthcare planning, and allocate resources effectively. However, I do not support maintaining government databases that identify individuals based on their ongoing medical conditions unless there is a clear legal or public health necessity and strong privacy protections are in place. Arkansans should be confident that their personal health information is protected.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
I believe the Chinese Communist Party presents significant national security, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and economic challenges to the United States. We must protect American innovation, critical infrastructure, and supply chains while strengthening our economy and supporting American workers. At the same time, we should distinguish between the actions of the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese people and continue pursuing responsible diplomacy where it serves U.S. interests.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. Israel is one of America’s strongest allies, and our partnership supports national security, intelligence sharing, economic cooperation, and regional stability. I believe the United States should continue to support Israel while also encouraging diplomacy, protecting innocent civilians, and working toward a lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians. Strong alliances should reflect our values, our security interests, and our commitment to peace.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Agree
I believe immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility. Local law enforcement should focus on keeping our communities safe while cooperating with federal authorities when public safety or serious crimes are involved. We should treat everyone with dignity while enforcing the law fairly.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Disagree
I believe states and local school districts should continue leading education decisions, but the federal government plays an important role in protecting students’ civil rights, supporting special education, expanding access to higher education, and helping ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed. I support strong state and local control while maintaining an appropriate federal partnership.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Agree
I believe American education should be protected from improper foreign influence. Foreign governments should not be allowed to secretly fund or control curriculum, research, or school policies. However, international partnerships, cultural exchanges, and academic collaboration can be valuable when they are transparent, lawful, and in the best interest of students. My priority is protecting students, academic freedom, and public trust in our schools.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
I believe parents are their children’s first and most important advocates and should have a meaningful voice in decisions about their health and education. At the same time, I believe children benefit most when parents, educators, and healthcare professionals work together in their best interests. My goal is to support families while ensuring every child has access to a quality education, appropriate healthcare, and a safe learning environment.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Disagree
I believe every child deserves compassion, respect, and access to appropriate medical and mental health care. Decisions involving a child’s health should be made carefully by parents or guardians, qualified healthcare professionals, and, when appropriate, the child, based on established medical standards and individual circumstances. I do not believe these situations should be labeled as child abuse, but I do support ensuring that any care provided prioritizes the child’s safety, and well-being.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
Faith traditions define marriage as a sacred union between one man and one woman. Religious institutions should be free to follow their beliefs, while civil government should protect the legal rights and equal treatment of all citizens under the law. Religious freedom and equal protection can both be respected.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Neutral
I believe any expansion of gambling should be considered carefully. Decisions should weigh potential economic benefits, such as job creation and tourism, against concerns about addiction, public safety, and impacts on families. I would support policies that are transparent, locally supported, and include strong safeguards and funding for problem gambling prevention and treatment.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My faith is an important part of who I am and guides how I serve others. I believe in God and strive to live by values such as integrity, compassion, humility, honesty, and service. I believe every person has inherent worth and should be treated with dignity and respect. While my faith shapes my character and decision-making, I also believe elected officials have a responsibility to represent and serve everyone fairly, regardless of their religious beliefs. My goal is to lead with integrity, seek wisdom, and work to strengthen families and communities through service.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
I support secure, accessible elections. I believe voters should provide identification to help protect the integrity of our elections, but every eligible voter should have a reasonable opportunity to obtain a valid photo ID at little or no cost. Election security and voter access should go hand in hand, ensuring every eligible Arkansan can vote while maintaining public confidence in our elections.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Neutral
I believe we should acknowledge the lasting impacts of historical discrimination and work to expand opportunity for all Americans. My focus is on policies that improve education, healthcare, housing, and economic opportunity for communities that have faced persistent barriers. I support addressing inequities through practical, forward-looking solutions that strengthen families and communities while bringing people together.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Neutral
I believe every person deserves dignity, respect, and safety. Policies involving sports and sex-segregated spaces should balance fairness, privacy, and safety while respecting the rights of everyone involved. These issues are complex, and I believe decisions should be guided by the specific circumstances, applicable law, and input from medical experts, educators, and affected communities rather than one-size-fits-all policies.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Agree
I believe climate change is a serious challenge that affects public health, agriculture, infrastructure, and our economy. We should take practical, science-informed steps to reduce pollution, strengthen our energy infrastructure, and prepare communities for severe weather while supporting innovation, protecting jobs, and keeping energy affordable for Arkansas families.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
No single energy source is enough. I support a balanced approach that includes natural gas, nuclear, solar, and wind, along with modernizing the electric grid. This keeps energy reliable, affordable, strengthens energy security, and supports Arkansas
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I consider myself a moderate because I believe good ideas can come from either party. I focus on practical solutions, fiscal responsibility, strong public education, affordable healthcare, safe communities, and economic opportunity. I believe in working across the aisle, listening to different perspectives, and putting the needs of the people I serve above partisan politics. My goal is to lead with integrity, respect, and common sense.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No. I have never been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No. I have never been convicted of a felony.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect public safety, uphold the law, and ensure equal justice for everyone. It should hold offenders accountable, protect the rights of victims, and provide opportunities for rehabilitation when appropriate to reduce repeat offenses. A fair, transparent, and effective justice system strengthens trust and helps build safer communities.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
I strongly believe government has a responsibility to protect children from online sexual exploitation. This includes enforcing laws against predators, supporting investigations, promoting online safety education, and working with technology companies to help create safer digital environments while respecting constitutional rights and privacy.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Disagree
I disagree because the U.S. Constitution already establishes that American law, not any religious law, governs our courts. Singling out one religion is unnecessary and risks undermining the principles of religious freedom and equal treatment. People should be free to practice their faith, whether Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or another religion, as long as they obey U.S. laws. Our Constitution protects both religious liberty and the rule of law.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I support the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding citizens to own firearms. I also support enforcing existing gun laws, strengthening background checks, keeping guns out of the hands of people prohibited by law, and promoting safe firearm storage and education. We can protect constitutional rights while taking practical steps to improve public safety and reduce gun violence.
