QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

The overwhelming amount of funding to organizations like Planned Parenthood go towards STI/STD tests, contraception, cancer screening, other women's health services, and then only 3% towards abortions. Cutting funding to them would be shortsighted and lead to a larger drain on healthcare due to unnecessary health complications that could have been avoided. Federal funds aren't even allowed to be used to provide abortions. State funds, through Medicaid, are for medically necessary abortions only.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

It is a highly personal decision that only a woman, the potential father, and God should be involved in. Even in situations where I may disagree with their reasoning, we don't regulate how much a man is allowed to have unprotected sex, so we should not be regulating what women do.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Neutral

This statement assumes that life begins at conception, which is highly debated. Even the Jewish faith holds that life doesn't begin until the first breath is taken. As I am not an expert, nor are the majority of politicians or clergy, I find it odd that a politician should be regulating decisions like this to begin with.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Did not answer

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

This is against God's desire for people to exercise free agency. You don't have to like the decisions made by people, but you don't get to tell them how to live. No one makes these decisions lightly, and often live with the weight of that decision their whole lives. Limiting access to abortions harms more people than it helps. No one decides to have an abortion just because, so we shouldn't be piling on to that difficulty. God is about love, not hate or guilt.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

The fact that Mike Johnson said $174,000/year isn't enough for congress is enough of an answer. Min wage needs to allow people to live, with all of the twists and turns that can be thrown at them. If congress "needs" more, min wage definitely does.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

This comes with a major caveat though. Corporations and shareholders have proven time and again that they will prioritize increasing their own profit instead of caring for their employees. Free enterprise only works with limits in place to prevent greed from allowing people to earn a living. The fact that anyone with a full time job needs government assistance means corporations only care about their own profit. Christ would never do that.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Term limits and stock trading bans would force politicians to focus on legislating instead of performative grandstanding and insider trading. Banning corporate money and lobbyists would mean politicians focus on the needs of their constituents. Mandatory transparency on where every tax dollar goes would force politicians to be better stewards of the money their entrusted with. Reducing redundant govt agencies to avoid spending money 2-3x on similar programs.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means this is a country in which you are free to practice whatever religion you want without the government forcing a particular belief system on you. Things like "under God" on our money, or in the pledge until nearly 200 years after founding this country to differentiate the US from the "Godless" communists of the USSR. Our moral foundations are incredibly important this country, but that is because they were given the freedom to take hold organically, not forced

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

That's the great thing about our economy, people are free to patronize businesses that share their own personal beliefs. There is, however, a difference between someone refusing service because they disagree with the religious or moral values of a customer if they are not asking them to do something that goes against the service provider's beliefs. If someone wants a cake that doesn't espouse specific moral beliefs, then that doesn't violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B-healthcare debt is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in this country. The system is intentionally difficult to navigate because the owners of the services want it that way because they prioritize profits over the wellbeing of people. If you could trust them to provide the services at reasonable costs, that would be a different story, but how long until we admit that these providers will never care about people more than profit. I'm not talking about healthcare workers either.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

HIPPA, privacy, absolutely not!

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The Chinese people are wonderful, but the CCP is absolutely out to undermine the US in every possible way they can. I'm not a fan of the huge amount of leeway with which they operate in the US. I don't trust anything that has any links to the CCP, which is basically everything since they force it. It sucks for their citizens, but their govt cannot be trusted!

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

No, in fact, at this point it is a problem. I've not been a fan of the massive amounts of money we've been sending to Israel for nearly two decades. Israel operates in its own best interests and has consistently put the US at odds with the rest of the world. I had the highest security clearance, and Israel is not to be trusted as a govt as much as the CCP in terms of intellectual property theft and cyber security. They keep kicking the hornet's nest then are surprised they get stung.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Neutral

I believe we should have immigration policies that doesn't necessitate the existence of sanctuary cities. Our great country was built on immigrant labor. They provide way more to the economy than they take. All unbiased data and statistics support this. We need a more robust immigration system, more pathways to legal entry, and less stigma surrounding immigrants since our country would grind to a halt without them.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

I have yet to see good proposals for this. I'll agree that our education system is broken since we spend more per capita on it, yet trail in too many categories.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Neutral

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
