Free enterprise and the right to private property form the backbone of any productive economy because they let people keep what they earn, reward real effort, and spur the innovation that creates jobs. As a small business owner I have lived this truth. Secure property rights and open markets give families a real shot at building something lasting, while government control of either one only chokes opportunity and drives up costs for everyone.

The government cannot establish an official religion or force anyone to practice one, but it also means the government cannot silence or exclude faith from public life. Our founders protected the free exercise of religion so people of faith could bring their values publicly, not so bureaucrats could drive religion out of schools, government, or community. I will always defend the freedom to worship and the freedom to live out that faith without government hostility.

No one should be forced by government to violate their deeply held moral or religious beliefs in order to operate a business or make a living. Religious liberty is a foundational American right, and compelling people to act against their conscience is the opposite of freedom. I will always defend the right of individuals and business owners to live and work according to their faith without government coercion.

The government has no business maintaining a database of citizens' private medical conditions. That kind of centralized tracking is a serious invasion of privacy and opens the door to abuse, discrimination, and government overreach. Economic analysis of healthcare costs can and should be done with anonymized, aggregated data, not by cataloging individual patients. Personal medical information belongs to the patient and their doctor, not a government database.

The Chinese Communist Party is a clear and growing threat to American security and prosperity through its military expansion, relentless cyber attacks, systematic theft of intellectual property, and economic coercion aimed at dominating critical industries. We need clear-eyed policies that protect our technology, strengthen our military readiness, and reduce dangerous dependence on a regime that does not share our values or interests.

Yes, the United States relationship with Israel is important as a democratic ally that shares many of our values and faces common threats. I support maintaining that relationship and cooperation where it serves American interests, but I do not support connecting our militaries or giving any foreign nation control over our assets. Any partnership must also respect basic human rights. Our foreign policy should always put American sovereignty and interests first.

The original idea came from churches offering temporary refuge to people fleeing genuine persecution, not a policy of shielding illegal immigrants from federal enforcement, including those who commit crimes. Today, these policies undermine the rule of law, endanger communities, and obstruct cooperation with immigration authorities. Local governments should work with federal officials to protect citizens rather than create safe havens that encourage illegal immigration and shield offenders.

The climate is always changing and human activity plays a role, but the extreme predictions and costly mandates often pushed in its name have repeatedly failed to match reality while driving up energy prices for families and businesses. Colorado needs reliable, affordable energy including nuclear and domestic production, not rushed policies that weaken our economy and grid in the name of crisis.

Nuclear and natural gas are the most reliable sources for growing electricity demand, with coal a distant third. Both deliver consistent power far more dependably than weather-dependent renewables while keeping costs down for families.

I favor free enterprise, strong families, secure borders, reliable energy, and limited government that protects rights rather than expands control. The primary goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect the public, hold offenders accountable, and ensure justice for victims. When someone commits a crime the system must prioritize the safety of law-abiding citizens and the rights of those who have been harmed rather than focusing first on the comfort or rehabilitation of the perpetrator. Swift, certain consequences and meaningful input from victims are essential to restoring trust and deterring future crime.

None. The Second Amendment says the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. That language is clear and absolute. The way to protect public safety is to enforce existing laws against violent criminals, not to place new restrictions on law-abiding citizens.
