RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund abortion providers. Taxpayers hold deeply different beliefs on this issue and public funds should not be used to subsidize abortion services. I support directing public resources to healthcare providers and community health centers that deliver comprehensive care without performing abortions, while ensuring women have access to quality healthcare.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I am pro-life and believe every life has inherent dignity and worth. Abortions should only be permitted when it is necessary to save the life of the mother. I also believe we should do more to support women facing difficult pregnancies through expanded access to prenatal care, adoption resources and community support so that no woman feels she has to face those decisions alone.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Every human life has inherent dignity and deserves legal protection from conception until natural death. I also believe we have a responsibility to support mothers, children, families and the most vulnerable members of our communities.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Human embryos deserve dignity and protection, regardless of how they are created. I support IVF with ethical safeguards that respect human life while helping families have children. I support ethical safeguards that respect the value of human life, encourage responsible embryo creation and storage practices and seek to protect embryos from intentional destruction.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

Federal laws should be enforced as written until they are changed by Congress or interpreted otherwise by the courts. I support appropriate legal oversight of abortion-inducing drugs consistent with protecting unborn life.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

As a business owner, I've seen how small businesses create opportunity and good-paying jobs. I'd rather help businesses grow and hire than burden them with policies that make it harder to succeed.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

As a business owner, I believe free enterprise and private property rights are the foundation of a strong economy and a free society. They give people the opportunity to build businesses, create jobs, own a home and provide for their families. Government's role is to protect those rights, not create unnecessary regulations or barriers that limit opportunity.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Protect TABOR and rein in government spending by ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly before creating new programs or increasing spending. Reduce bureaucracy and unnecessary regulations that drive up costs for families, homeowners and small businesses without improving results. Increase transparency and accountability by conducting regular performance audits of state agencies and making it easier for taxpayers to see how their money is being spent.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

My faith shapes who I am. To me, "separation of church and state" means protecting the church from government control, not excluding people of faith from public life. The First Amendment prevents the government from establishing a national religion and protects every American's right to freely exercise their faith.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and businesses should not be forced by the government to violate their sincerely held moral or religious beliefs. Protecting religious liberty is a cornerstone of our Constitution and we should seek solutions that respect both religious freedom and the dignity of every individual.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C. Medicaid and Medicare provide an important safety net for vulnerable populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities and low-income families. Rather than expanding government-run healthcare, I support strengthening these programs while encouraging market-based solutions that increase competition, lower costs, improve transparency and expand access to quality, affordable care.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Protecting personal medical privacy is a fundamental responsibility of government. Healthcare policy should be informed by data that is aggregated and anonymous, not by maintaining databases of individuals' private medical conditions.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

We must strengthen our national security, protect American innovation, secure critical infrastructure and reduce our dependence on foreign adversaries while ensuring Colorado remains a safe place to live, work and do business.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. Israel is one of America's closest allies and an important partner in promoting democracy, regional stability and national security. I support Israel's right to defend itself against terrorism and believe the United States should continue to stand with our ally. As a state legislator, my focus will be serving the people of House District 2 and the issues that directly affect their daily lives.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support sanctuary city policies. I believe we should enforce our immigration laws, support cooperation between law enforcement agencies and maintain a legal immigration system while treating every person with dignity and respect.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

As a homeschool mom of four teenagers, I've seen firsthand that every child learns differently and that parents know their children best. Education decisions should be made as close to students as possible, not by bureaucrats in Washington. I support returning more authority to states and local communities, empowering parents and ensuring every family has the freedom to choose the educational path that best meets their child's needs.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should not influence American education through funding or partnerships. Our schools should be accountable to students, parents and taxpayers, not foreign interests.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Parents know their children better than anyone else. Government should respect and support parents' fundamental right to make decisions about their children's education and healthcare, not undermine it. I will always stand for parental rights and family choice.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Children deserve protection from irreversible medical interventions while they are still developing. Decisions with lifelong consequences should not be made until an individual is an adult and able to provide informed consent. I support ensuring parents are fully involved in their children's care and believe children experiencing gender dysphoria should receive compassionate, evidence-based mental health support.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

My Christian faith teaches me that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God between one man and one woman. That is my personal belief. As a public official, however, I also recognize that I have a duty to uphold and follow the Constitution and the rule of law. I will always protect the religious liberty of individuals, churches and faith-based organizations to live and operate according to their sincerely held beliefs, while treating every person with dignity and respect.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

Government should not depend on gambling revenues to fund its priorities. We should grow Colorado's economy through opportunity, not by expanding gambling.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and believe that He died for our sins, rose again on the third day and is seated at the right hand of the Father. My faith is the foundation of my life and shapes how I lead, serve and treat others. It calls me to live with integrity, humility, compassion, personal responsibility and to love my neighbor as myself. Those values guide my decisions every day, both personally and professionally.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Requiring photo ID to vote is a common-sense measure that helps protect the integrity of our elections and strengthens public confidence in the voting process. Every eligible voter should have the opportunity to vote and the state should ensure identification is readily accessible so that secure elections and voter access go hand in hand.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Every person should be treated equally under the law, regardless of race. Our focus should be on expanding opportunity, improving education, strengthening families and creating an economy where every Coloradan has the chance to succeed. We should address challenges based on need and opportunity, not race.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Women's sports and women's private spaces should be reserved for biological females. Protecting fairness in competition and privacy in intimate spaces does not diminish the dignity of anyone. We should treat every person with respect while ensuring women and girls have the protections they deserve.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Agree

We should be good stewards of our environment, but I do not support policies that impose significant costs on Colorado families, small businesses or our economy without delivering meaningful results. I support practical, market-driven innovation, responsible conservation and an all-of-the-above energy strategy that protects both our environment and our economic prosperity.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Natural gas and next-generation nuclear energy will be critical to meeting growing demand, supported by renewables where they make sense. Colorado should pursue an all-all-of-the-above energy strategy.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am a constitutional conservative. My beliefs are rooted in my Christian faith and guided by a commitment to limited government, individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, the sanctity of life, religious freedom, parental rights and the Constitution. Government works best when it protects our freedoms, lives within its means and empowers families and communities, not bureaucracies.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The primary goal of the criminal justice system is to protect the public, uphold the rule of law and hold offenders accountable. When I'm your representative, I'll work to restore public safety by supporting law enforcement, ending the revolving door for repeat offenders, standing with victims and making sure Colorado families can once again feel safe where they live, work and raise their children.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Protecting children is one of government's most important responsibilities. As a state representative, I'll support stronger penalties for those who exploit children, ensure law enforcement has the resources they need to investigate these crimes and support policies that help keep children safe online. Protecting our children should always be a bipartisan priority.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

The United States is governed by the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. No religious legal code, including Sharia law, should supersede or be incorporated in place of our constitutional system. At the same time, every American has the constitutional right to freely practice their religion and I will always support religious liberty while ensuring that our laws are applied equally to everyone.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I support enforcing existing laws to keep firearms out of the hands of violent criminals while protecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. As your representative, I will hold violent offenders accountable, support law enforcement and improve school and community safety, not create new restrictions on responsible gun owners.
