Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
It becomes tricky when the life of the mother is in danger, but this is rare. If it were me in this position, I would seriously pray about it understanding that it was a decision between my life and the life of my baby. Who am I leaving behind, what is the potential of my baby, etc. Certainly not an easy decision. But, the baby should not be merely discarded as not a life, but as a living human being whose life must also be considered. Very difficult.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I worked for $2.50 an hour growing up. Obviously minimum wage must coincide with the economy. But fast food is not a career, so we should not be increasing minimum wage to allow for fast food as a career field.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

1. Eliminate political and government corruption. 2. Eliminate the endless and useless lawsuits against the Trump administration. 3. I would refocus priorities to what is most important for Colorado citizens and their families and eliminate the funding of unnecessary projects that help non-citizens or benefit issues in the minority versus those most Coloradan's care about.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Originally the Pilgrims came to America to escape religious persecution. Therefore, their goal was to keep government out of the church. The issue is very complex and has been twisted in many ways. Bottomline is that the United States was founded on Christian values with the blessing of God, and these values cannot be ignored. They are a part of our history and what has made America great.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
This is a very difficult question. I would not agree with A or D. I agree all should have access to healthcare. No one should suffer. But the system has become bloated and too much money going to health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, doctors, etc., and too much regulation dictating what medical professionals can and cannot do.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Too many government programs appear benevolent and helpful but then are abused. The question is, how to be helpful and prevent potential abuse.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Absolutely. They are our greatest ally in the middle east. As the Bible states, pray for Israel.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Illegals are a drain on our economy. It is not fair to those who have come here legally. Most probably don't recall, but years ago a U.S. Marine was traveling from one station to another. Somehow, he ended up crossing the border into Mexico with all of his personal belongings and a weapon. He was stopped in Mexico and held in a Mexican prison for 6 months until the U.S. government was able to get him released. Here in the U.S. some administrations and politicians' welcome illegal entry.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

For the most part I agree. But, there may be some benefit to Dept of Education to ensure consistent standards. But, it can be a slippery slope, and certainly can be abused depending on the Administration.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

I have fought for the rights of parents and their children for almost ten years. As a court appointed counsel in dependency and neglect cases I have worked with hundreds of parents seeking to reunite their families and protect their kids.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

I am a conservative evangelical Christian. I accepted the Lord in 1999 and have prayed and invited the Holy Spirit into my life. Renewing my mind with the word of God is a daily practice and I seek God in every decision, like the decision to run for Attorney General.

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

You have to show identification to buy alcohol. Why not to vote. Prove you are a citizen. And to say requiring an ID is racist, is ludicrous and an insult to minorities because it assumes some people are not intelligent enough to get an ID.

2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I strongly believe in the 2d Amendment. I would not impose restrictions. But, similar to driving a car, there should be processes in place to ensure safety of others. The question is what measures and how to avoid intrusiveness. A crazy person, like the Club Q. shooter should never have a gun. Those cleared for weapons should not be limited or restricted. Gun crimes are typically committed by those not authorized to have a gun or are using illegal guns.
