QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

As a Christian, I believe life begins at conception because every human life is created by God and known by Him from its very beginning. When a child is conceived, I don't see just a collection of cells. I see a unique person made in the image of God, with a purpose, a soul, and a future known to Him. My belief is not rooted in judgment, but in awe. Every person, no matter how small or vulnerable, has immeasurable value because they are created by God.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

If a student is facing a crisis pregnancy, the school should respond with kindness and practical support, not judgment. At the same time, I believe schools should respect the role of parents and families in guiding important moral decisions. Schools can offer support and resources while remaining focused on their central mission of education.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

I oppose government-funded student loan forgiveness because people should be responsible for the debts they voluntarily take on. Students who borrow money for college agree to repay those loans. I also believe it is unfair to taxpayers, especially those who have already paid off their own student loans or chose not to take on college debt. Loan forgiveness does not erase the debt and unfairly shifts the cost to others.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

I support government funding for public education from Pre-K through high school because a strong basic education benefits students, families, and communities. Every child should have access to quality educational opportunities regardless of their financial situation. However, I believe funding should be used responsibly and focused on academic achievement, school safety, and preparing students for future success while ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently and effectively.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

As a Christian, I believe separation of church and state means the government should not establish or favor a religion, and public schools should not require religious activities. At the same time, students and staff do not lose their religious freedoms at school. Students should be free to pray and express their faith respectfully. My goal is to protect the rights of all students while keeping schools focused on education.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Strongly Agree

I believe a nation has the right and responsibility to enforce its laws and secure its borders. ICE plays an important role in upholding immigration laws and protecting public safety. At the same time, I believe all people should be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, regardless of their immigration status.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

I do not believe abortion providers, gender-affirming providers, or organizations such as Planned Parenthood should be used as resources for instruction or services in our schools. I believe schools should focus on academics and involve parents in important health and moral issues. Decisions regarding reproductive health and gender identity are deeply personal matters that should be addressed by families, healthcare professionals, and faith communities, not through school-sponsored instruction

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

I agree that appropriate consequences for bad behavior are necessary to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment. Every student has the right to learn without constant disruption. When disruptive behavior is not addressed, it can interfere with the education of other students and the ability of teachers to teach effectively. Accountability, combined with fairness and consistency, helps create a school environment where all students can succeed.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

Students need a basic understanding of how their government works in order to be informed citizens. That includes the structure of government, the Constitution, the role of elections, and how laws are made and applied. The goal of civics education should be to help students think critically, understand their rights and responsibilities, participate respectfully in civic life, and have the ability to make their own informed decisions as adults.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

As a school board member and former teacher, I believe sex education in public schools should be limited to an abstinence-based approach that emphasizes personal responsibility, values, and healthy decision-making. I do not support explicit or comprehensive sex education in schools. I also believe parents should play the primary role in guiding their children on sensitive moral and sexual issues.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Critical thinking, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, American History, Civics, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Personal Finances, Art & Music, Physical Fitness. AND None of the others should ever be taught at school!

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Strongly Agree

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Strongly Agree

I strongly support school choice because I believe it introduces healthy competition into education. When families have options, schools are encouraged to improve academic quality, safety, and accountability in order to attract and retain students. I also believe parents should have the primary right to choose the best educational environment for their child, whether that is a public, charter, or other school option.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

One of the first things I did as a school board member was advocate for and adopt a policy that boys are NEVER allowed in girl spaces. We passed this before it became the law in Florida!

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Gospel-led Christian, my spiritual beliefs are centered on faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I believe the Bible is God’s Word and the foundation for truth, guidance, and daily living. My faith emphasizes grace, forgiveness, repentance, and living in a way that reflects Christ’s love. I seek to follow the teachings of the Gospel by loving God fully, serving others with compassion, and striving to live with integrity and humility in all areas of life.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Strongly Disagree

The question I pose is, "who are the experts". Publisher have flooded school libraries with inappropriate books. All books need to be free of inappropriate content to include CRT, gender theory, transitioning, etc. I wrote a policy to make sure that books containing obscenities be removed from our school libraries. We have removed over 2000 titles since this policy went in to effect. We need to protect the innocence of our children.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voting is a right guaranteed to citizens, and it is one of the most important ways we participate in our democracy. Because of that, it is essential that elections are secure, fair, and trustworthy. Requiring photo identification helps protect the integrity of the process by verifying that each person casting a ballot is who they say they are, reducing the risk of fraud and increasing public confidence in election outcomes.
