QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Disagree
We need to support people from birth to death. This involves providing Medicare for all, funding our schools, subsidizing childcare, and building affordable housing.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Choose not to answer
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
To save the mother's life and early in pregnancy.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Planned Parenthood provides healthcare and mental health services to people who cannot afford them or fear going to the doctors. This is necessary to provide healthcare to our young adults and new parents.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Disagree
We should not limit another person's access to healthcare.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Neutral
Companies have become too big and have monopolized markets. The wealthiest companies always celebrate record profits and increased shareholder value, while laying off thousands and increasing our prices. This is corporate greed. This is why groceries, internet, housing, electricity, and childcare have become so expensive.
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Strongly Agree
Billionaires and the 1% hoard their wealth and utilize loopholes created by lobbyists so they can escape taxation. Truth is that your doctor, lawyer, cashiers, janitors, neighbors, family, small businesses, professional athletes, and engineers get taxed. But billionaires and their companies do not get taxed. They evade taxes. In fact, you probably paid more in taxes than Amazon. The tax will fund our schools and healthcare. Massachusetts did a millionaire's tax and now has more millionaires.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Disagree
We should increase taxes on the wealthy who hoard their wealth in the stock market and get loans on their stock portfolio. National debt will go down by taxing the wealthy and funding programs that keep money in the working class's pocket.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Strengthen the FTC to go after monopolies, scrutinize defense contractors who charge high rates, and get corporate money out of our elections.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Choose not to answer
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Our federal government does not favor any one religion but provides a space for each religion to practice freely.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
A. Healthcare should be a human right in the US. In the wealthiest country in the world, we should not have medical bankruptcy or health issues tied to a lack of access to care. A cancer diagnosis should mean time spent with loved ones. But in our current system, it means they will spend their limited time on the phone with insurance companies disputing denied claims. Medicare for all will allow peace of mind that children and spouses will have medical support even when times get tough.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
Our government should track the number of medical diagnoses for illnesses, so we can track the necessary amount of medical treatment needed to support the country. However, we should not have the federal government surveilling over who has a certain diagnosis or illness.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C. We should focus on our own nation and the problems we need to fix at home. We have an affordability issue at home. So, we need to get corporate and special interest money out of our elections. At the same time, invest money into our workers. With that said, I support aid to other countries so we can build trading relationships, but politicians have become too focused on prioritizing other countries instead of investing that money into our country's future.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Disagree
We need to be focused on investing in America's future. We need to invest in domestic manufacturing, education, and innovation. We have allowed our biggest corporations to outsource jobs to foreign countries while our youth struggle to find a job or only have gig work available. We need to fix.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
I am running for US Congress; the US is my focus. Every dollar used to fund war is a dollar not used in our healthcare, education, childcare, or housing projects. We fund Israel so much that they provide their citizens with free healthcare and heavily subsidized education. While our taxes go to funding war and their healthcare, our citizens are experiencing medical bankruptcy and a large amount of student loans. Also, Israel is risking American soldiers' lives with their current actions.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Disagree
We need to focus on Domestic terror and calming our escalation of foreign conflict. We do this by funding education and jobs for our youth so we can improve their ability to afford to live in the US.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
All people seeking refuge or the American dream. With that said, we need to make the American dream obtainable for our youth who are entering a crumbling job market, a large amount of student loan debt, and unaffordable costs.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Agree
I am running for federal office and have no direct power over this. However, I will support states and cities that choose to be sanctuary cities. With that said, undocumented immigrants are people; they work jobs Americans are unwilling to do and pay billions in taxes every year.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Disagree
No, if done, states would have to increase property taxes and, as a result, many will neglect their students and teachers. It is never the answer to defund to give up on supporting our schools and teachers. Destroying a major funder of public education is not how we prepare and support our youth to innovate and become leaders.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Neutral
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Disagree
We should support our kids through general education. In doing so, our schools will focus on educating students and providing support systems for students' mental health in our stressful society. We should not vilify kids who are struggling to learn about their meaning in life.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
It's not the government's job to tell you who to love.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am Orthodox and I believe in the freedom of religion among all God's children. Religion is about doing the right thing and the afterlife, but there are too many problems in our world today to worry about the afterlife.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Choose not to answer
Every vote is checked by the voter rolls. If we want to require photo identification, then when people become 18, they should be automatically registered to vote and receive a free ID.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Choose not to answer
Transgender individuals are less than 1% of the population. We need to focus on real issues like affordability and access to healthcare. I refuse to get distracted by culture war when we have people who can't afford groceries, rent, hospital visits, dental work, or utilities.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
We need to reinvest in renewable energy, so we are not dependent on a finite supply of fossil fuels. We have already given China a huge lead by uninvesting in renewable energy. We need to invest in the future of energy.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Choose not to answer
We need real change. We need to build class solidarity because we are in a class war. It is not right v. left. The wealthiest people hoard their wealth while we can't afford groceries. It is the working class and small businesses against the ruling class or the Epstein-Billionaire class. I am a Progressive; I do not align with conservatives or liberals. I refuse to take special interest and corporate PAC money. I want to support the working class, unlike many politicians from both parties.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Agree
Agree, but our government is attempting to increase its surveillance over our lives in doing so. Collecting data and using it against us. The social media apps do need to be held accountable for their toxic algorithm.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We need common-sense gun safety laws that require background checks and gun safety classes for each weapon purchased. We have had too many school shootings. So we need to pass responsible gun laws and educate our population while providing them with mental health checks.
