RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
As a Catholic, I do not support abortion or public funding for it. At the same time, I’m not here to govern by my religion. Californians will continue to vote on this issue, & my role is to protect everyone’s rights. We are failing women in areas like autoimmune disorders, menopause care, and post-procedure support. Counseling should always be offered, data should be collected on outcomes, and when repeated procedures occur, screening for trafficking & mental-health should be required.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Personally, as a Catholic, I do not support elective abortion or public funding for it. At the same time, I’m not here to govern by my religion. Californians will continue to vote on this issue, and my role is to protect everyone’s rights while improving women’s healthcare.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Personally, I believe human life deserves legal protection from conception to natural death. My faith informs my values, but I am not here to govern by religion. My responsibility is to uphold the law, protect rights, and ensure California improves women’s healthcare, including counseling, post-procedure support, and screening for trafficking or mental-health concerns.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Disagree
Personally, I believe embryos deserve respect, but I do not support forcing couples to keep or store unused embryos. Decisions about unused embryos should remain with the couple, without lifelong storage fees or fear about who may raise their biological children in the future.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Agree
Personally, I support enforcing the Comstock Act as written. It is a federal law, and states should not ignore it.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Personally, I support a fair minimum wage that helps workers while still allowing businesses to survive. It must be set responsibly and based on economic reality. Newsom’s fast-food wage law is an example of a policy that went too far and hurt
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Personally, I support free enterprise and strong private property rights because they drive growth, create jobs, and give people the freedom to build a better California. When government overregulates or interferes too much, it hurts small businesses, slows innovation, and limits opportunity. A healthy economy depends on protecting these rights so families and communities can thrive.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Cut administrative bloat & middle-man nonprofits that absorb state funds instead of delivering services. 2. Audit every department & require full public transparency to expose redundant programs, unused contracts, and waste. 3. Streamline regulations & permitting to reduce delays, fees, and bureaucratic waste. 4. Modernize state systems to reduce fraud, paperwork, and duplicate processes. 5. Enforce immigration laws & deport individuals here illegally to reduce strain on state resources.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
My Catholic faith informs my values, but I am not here to govern by religion. Government should protect religious freedom, not suppress it, and ensure people of all beliefs are treated fairly.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Personally, I do not believe individuals or businesses should be forced to provide services that violate their moral or religious beliefs. People have the right to personal and professional autonomy. The Supreme Court has already affirmed this principle in cases protecting freedom of expression and religious liberty. Government should not compel anyone to act against their conscience.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Personally, I support a free-market healthcare system, but it must still protect the poor, elderly, and disabled. California should require all medical providers to post their prices online so patients can compare costs and ensure a fair, competitive market. Transparency is essential for real choice and lower prices.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
Personally, I do not support the government keeping a database of people with medical illnesses. That level of tracking is government overreach. I would only support tracking for individuals who have committed crimes and have diagnosed mental disorders that directly impact public safety.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Personally, I agree. China is a major threat, but I also believe many countries, including some of our allies engage in cyber espionage and economic pressure. We need to strengthen our defenses and protect American technology and supply chains.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Personally, I do not believe our relationship with Israel is beneficial. They rely heavily on U.S. taxpayer funding, and I do not think American taxpayers should be responsible for supporting another nation’s social programs or military needs. Our involvement in the region also increases risks to the United States. I believe we should end financial support and prioritize America’s interests first.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
Personally, I do not support sanctuary cities. Cities should not shield individuals who are in the country illegally. Immigration laws must be enforced consistently, and those here unlawfully should be processed and removed according to federal law.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education. As governor, I want California to have full control over our own education system, curriculum, and textbooks so we can improve schools without federal interference. Decisions about our children’s education should be made in California, not in Washington, D.C.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
I believe foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education. Outside influence, especially from countries with agendas that conflict with ours, has no place in our schools. The United States should control its own curriculum, textbooks, and academic standards without foreign money shaping what our students learn.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
I believe parents have the fundamental right and responsibility to direct their child’s health and educational well-being. I do not believe the state or federal government should mandate vaccines. These decisions belong to families, not bureaucracies. The government should support parents, not override them.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Personally, I agree. These situations are often a fictitious disorder imposed on children by adults. In California, we have even seen cases where the state removed children from their parents to transition them, and one of those children later died by suicide. This shows how dangerous and irresponsible these policies are. Protecting children means ending these practices entirely.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Choose not to answer
I will not use government power to separate people or deny anyone the ability to be with the person they love. We saw during COVID how harmful forced separation was, and I will not repeat that. My personal faith guides me, but it is not how I govern.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Disagree
Personally, I do not support expanding gambling in my state. Gambling addiction is a serious problem, and increasing access only harms more families. I believe it should be limited, not expanded.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am Catholic, and my faith shapes my values and responsibilities. My beliefs guide my character, but they do not dictate how I govern. My role in public office is to serve all Californians equally under the law.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I disagree. I believe we need photo identification to vote. It’s a basic safeguard that protects the integrity of our elections and ensures every legitimate vote is counted.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
I disagree. Reparations should not be given on the basis of race. We cannot build a fair or united future by dividing people into racial groups or assigning financial benefits based on ancestry.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
I agree. Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports or enter women’s spaces such as bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, shelters, or prisons. Women and girls deserve safety, fairness, and privacy, and these boundaries must be protected.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
The real issue is that major polluting countries are driving most of the global impact. There should be a basic international standard to protect global health, but it must be fair and not place excessive burdens.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Personally, I support each city’s right to choose the energy sources that work best for their community. Local governments should have the flexibility to decide what meets their needs, not be forced into a one-size-fits-all mandate from the state.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I base my views on logic, common sense, and research. While I lean conservative, I refuse to treat politics like a rivalry between gangs. We are one people, and we need honest conversations instead of constant division. I believe in enforcing our laws, which includes deporting all illegals, protecting parental rights, ending judicial discretion, exposing fraud, holding judges and politicians accountable, and safeguarding families. Californians first and Californians only.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect the public, enforce the law consistently, and ensure accountability.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Disagree
No. Sharia law is a religious legal system, and it has no place within the legal framework of the United States. Our laws must remain secular and based on the Constitution. Anyone who wishes to live under a different religious legal system is free to do so in their home country, but it should not be incorporated into American law.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. Law-abiding citizens are not the problem, and additional restrictions only punish responsible gun owners. Public safety is best protected by enforcing existing laws and ensuring that individuals who commit gun-related crimes face real consequences instead of being released back into the community.
