QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
I don’t support cutting off funding based on politics when the reality is these providers deliver a broad range of essential healthcare services. Organizations like Planned Parenthood are not just focused on abortion. They provide cancer screenings, preventative care, reproductive health services, and basic medical support for communities that often have limited access to care. For many people, especially those in underserved areas, this is their entry point into the healthcare system.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe this is a decision that should be made between a woman and her medical provider, based on her individual circumstances. These are complex, personal, and often difficult situations. A one size fits all rule from government doesn’t account for health risks, timing, or the realities people are facing. The role of policy should be to ensure safe access to care and clear medical standards, not to override the judgment of a patient and her doctor.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Neutral
I believe human life is valuable and deserves respect, but I don’t believe the government is best positioned to make one rigid rule for every situation from conception to natural death. These are deeply personal, complex decisions that often involve medical realities, risks, and circumstances that can’t be reduced to a single standard. The role of government should be to protect life where it can, while also respecting individual rights and medical judgment.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Neutral
I believe human life should be treated with respect, including embryos created through medical technology. At the same time, these are highly complex medical and ethical decisions that are best handled by patients, families, and their medical providers, not dictated by one broad government mandate.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Disagree
I don’t support using the Comstock Act as a modern tool to restrict access to medication. This is a 19th century law being applied to 21st century healthcare. Medication decisions should be guided by current medical standards, patient safety, and the relationship between a patient and their provider, not outdated statutes that don’t reflect today’s realities. The focus should be on ensuring safe, regulated access to care and clear medical oversight.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
My position is simple, if you’re working full time, you should be able to live, not just survive. Minimum wage should reflect a livable wage that actually covers the real cost of living in California.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise and private property rights are fundamental to a strong economy. They drive innovation, reward hard work, and create opportunity. When people can build, own, and grow without unnecessary barriers, communities thrive. Protecting these principles supports jobs, stability, and long term economic growth for everyone.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Audit every agency, cut redundant programs and overhead. 2. Tie funding to measurable outcomes, eliminate what doesn’t deliver. 3. Digitize services to reduce bureaucracy and inefficiency. 4. Enforce strict procurement oversight to stop fraud and overspending. 5. Zero based budgeting, justify every dollar, every year.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
To me, separation of church and state means government does not control religion, and religion does not control government. People should be free to practice their faith, or no faith at all, without interference. At the same time, public policy should be based on the law, the Constitution, and what serves all people, not any one religious belief. It protects both sides. It keeps government neutral and protects religious freedom.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
Business operating in a public marketplace, has a responsibility to serve the public fairly and not discriminate unlawfully. The goal is to protect both religious freedom and equal access. That means clear rules that prevent discrimination while allowing reasonable accommodations where they do not deny someone access. Bottom line, we can uphold individual liberty without closing the door on others.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
"B" Healthcare should be available to everyone, but people should also have choice. A public option ensures access for those who need it, while preserving private healthcare keeps competition, innovation, and flexibility in the system. The goal is simple, expand access, control costs, and improve quality without eliminating options people rely on.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
I don’t support broad government databases that track individuals’ medical conditions in a way that could compromise privacy. We can assess healthcare costs and plan policy using anonymized, aggregated data without identifying individuals. That approach gives us the information we need while protecting people’s personal health information. Bottom line, we should use data to improve the system, but not at the expense of privacy and trust.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Choose not to answer
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, the relationship is important. Israel is a long-standing ally in a complex region. The partnership supports U.S. national security interests through intelligence sharing, counterterrorism cooperation, and technological innovation. It also provides strategic stability in the Middle East, which has direct implications for global security and economic interests.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Neutral
I believe in a balanced approach. Local communities need trust between residents and law enforcement. When people are afraid to report crimes or cooperate, public safety suffers. At the same time, we are a nation of laws, and immigration policy ultimately has to be addressed at the federal level. Bottom line, the goal is public safety and accountability. We should build trust in communities while ensuring that laws are respected and enforced appropriately.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Neutral
I support giving states and local communities more control over education, because they’re closer to the students and better positioned to address local needs. That said, I don’t believe in simply eliminating the federal role without a plan. The federal government plays an important part in protecting equal access, supporting students with disabilities, and ensuring baseline standards across the country. Bottom line, education works best when it’s locally driven, but we still need a framework.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Agree
I support strong limits and full transparency when it comes to foreign funding in American education. Our schools and universities should be focused on educating students, not influenced by foreign governments or outside political interests. Any funding from abroad should be clearly disclosed, closely monitored, and restricted where it raises concerns about influence, national security, or academic integrity.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
I support the fundamental role of parents in directing their child’s health and education. Parents are closest to their children and should have a strong voice in the decisions that shape their well-being. Bottom line, parents should lead in their child’s upbringing, with systems in place to support and protect every child’s future.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Neutral
As a mediator, I’ve seen what happens when adults rush decisions without fully understanding the impact. That’s why I believe parents need to be involved, qualified medical professionals need to lead, and there has to be real oversight to make sure any care is appropriate and responsible. This isn’t about labels. It’s about protecting kids and making sure decisions are thoughtful, measured, and in their best interest.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
I respect that many people hold strong religious beliefs about marriage, and they have every right to practice those beliefs. At the same time, in our system, marriage is also a legal institution governed by civil law, not a single religious definition. Government has a responsibility to ensure equal protection under the law for all individuals. Bottom line, people should be free to live their beliefs, and the law should treat people fairly and equally.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Agree
I support a measured, responsible approach to gambling, not unchecked expansion. If it’s expanded, it needs to be done with clear guardrails, strong consumer protections, and oversight to address addiction, financial harm, and community impact. Revenue should be transparent and directed toward public priorities like education, infrastructure, or public safety. Bottom line, this isn’t about saying yes or no across the board, it’s about doing it responsibly, or not at all.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs are grounded in faith, accountability, and service. I believe in God, but I also believe your actions matter more than your words. I respect that people come from different beliefs and backgrounds. For me, it’s about staying grounded, serving others, and living with purpose.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
Voting should be both accessible and secure. I support requiring identification to vote, but it has to be practical and fair. That means making sure every eligible voter can easily obtain a free ID, with simple processes and no barriers. At the same time, we should allow reasonable alternatives when needed, so no one is turned away unfairly. Bottom line, protect the integrity of elections while ensuring every eligible voter has a real opportunity to participate.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Agree
My focus is on what actually works today. Broad, race based payments risk creating division without solving the underlying issues. A more effective approach is to target investment where the need is clear, education, housing, small business support, and access to capital, and measure results. Bottom line, acknowledge the past, but prioritize solutions that create real opportunity and lasting impact now.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
No.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Neutral
I believe climate change is real and needs to be taken seriously, but the response has to be practical and results driven. We should focus on solutions that actually reduce emissions, invest in clean energy, modernize infrastructure, and strengthen resilience, without crushing working families or driving up costs unnecessarily. Bottom line, take action, but do it in a way that’s balanced, effective, and sustainable.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
We should continue expanding solar and wind, paired with battery storage and grid modernization, to reduce costs and increase long term sustainability.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
My background as a mediator shapes everything, I look for practical solutions, not ideological wins. I’m willing to work with anyone, challenge anyone, and focus on outcomes over talking points. I’m not driven by party politics, I’m driven by what works. On economic issues, I believe in opportunity, fiscal responsibility, and a system where hard work pays off.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system is public safety first, accountability second, and and recidivism. If people don’t feel safe, nothing else matters. The system has to protect communities and enforce the law consistently. At the same time, there has to be real accountability, actions have consequences. Bottom line, protect the public, hold people accountable, and reduce repeat crime. If the system isn’t doing all three, it’s not working.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree, protecting children online is a core responsibility of government. Kids are exposed to risks that didn’t exist a generation ago, and the law has to keep up. That means holding platforms accountable for preventing exploitation, enforcing strict penalties for offenders, and investing in tools and partnerships that detect and stop abuse in real time. Bottom line, this is about safety. Government, industry, and families all have a role, but protecting children is non negotiable.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
U.S. law should be based on the Constitution and applied equally to everyone. No separate religious legal system should replace or override that framework.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We need a balanced approach that protects public safety without taking away the rights of responsible gun owners. Focus on illegal guns and repeat offenders. That’s where a large part of the violence is coming from, and where enforcement needs to be strongest. Bottom line, protect rights, but be serious about safety. Both can be done if the focus is on practical solutions, not extremes.
