RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Choose not to answer

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

This is an important and deeply personal issue for many people. However, as a candidate for Insurance Commissioner, my focus is on addressing challenges within the insurance system; such as rising premiums, limited coverage options, and ensuring consumers have access to fair and reliable insurance.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Choose not to answer

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Choose not to answer

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Minimum wage is an important issue, but it falls outside the responsibilities of the Insurance Commissioner. My focus is on addressing rising insurance costs and improving access to coverage for Californians.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Eliminating government waste is important, but within the role of Insurance Commissioner, my focus is on improving efficiency, increasing transparency, and ensuring resources are used effectively to protect consumers.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

“Separation of church and state” is an important concept, but it falls outside the direct responsibilities of the Insurance Commissioner. My focus is on improving California’s insurance market and protecting consumers.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I believe access to healthcare is important, and I support systems that allow for both public and private options. However, as Insurance Commissioner, my focus is on making sure health insurance is fair, transparent, and accessible for all Californians.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation, especially online. As technology evolves, so do the risks, and children deserve safe environments. This means enforcing strong laws, holding offenders accountable, and ensuring platforms have proper safeguards. While this is outside the direct role of the Insurance Commissioner, protecting children is ALWAYS important to me and should be a priority for all.
