QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Neutral

Where extenuating circumstances exist, I believe these providers serve a purpose. However, I believe taxpayer dollars should be focused on healthcare that serves women, families, preventive care, and life-affirming support. I support redirecting public funding toward comprehensive women’s healthcare, prenatal services, adoption support, and maternal care.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe every life has value, and I also believe these situations can be deeply personal and painful. My priority is to build a culture and a system where women are supported with real options, strong healthcare, and compassionate care so that abortion becomes less sought in the first place. I support strong protections for life, while recognizing there are difficult circumstances that require wisdom, compassion, and medical clarity.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Agree

I believe human life is sacred and deserves dignity and protection at every stage.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Agree

Yes. Human embryos should be treated with dignity and not as disposable material.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Neutral

Federal laws should be taken seriously and applied lawfully. At the same time, any enforcement must be carried out with clarity, constitutionality, and respect for due process.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Working people deserve wages that reflect the real cost of living. In California, affordability is one of the biggest challenges families face, so wage policy must be tied to economic reality, regional impact, and a broader plan.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

Yes. Free enterprise and private property are essential, but government must also create a fair, stable environment where families, workers, and small businesses can thrive.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

*Cut duplicative bureaucracy and administrative layers. *Audit state programs for performance and measurable outcomes. *Streamline permitting and regulatory bottlenecks that drive up costs. *Shift spending toward frontline services and away from political or inefficient overhead. *Increase transparency so taxpayers can see where money is going.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state means the government should not establish or control religion, and people of faith should not be excluded from public life. It protects freedom of conscience, not freedom from faith. My faith informs my values, but as a leader I serve everyone.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

I believe religious liberty matters, and people should not be forced to violate deeply held convictions. We should work to protect both conscience rights and fair access in a way that respects human dignity.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Disagree

Not in a way that violates privacy, consent, or civil liberties. Public health data can be useful when properly anonymized and protected, but government should never casually track personal medical information without strong safeguards.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

The CCP presents serious national security, cyber, economic, and intellectual property concerns that must be addressed with strength, vigilance, and smart policy.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. Our relationship with all countries are important. With Israel it is important for strategic, democratic, security, and historical reasons. We should stand with our allies, but also support peace and stability, and oppose all forms of terrorism and hatred in all forms.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Agree

I support safe communities, lawful process, and the dignity of every person. Local leaders should not be forced into choosing between public safety and community trust. My focus is on protecting families, cooperating where required by law, and making sure victims and witnesses are not afraid to come forward.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

I support giving more control to states, parents, and local communities, with less federal overreach and bureaucracy. Decisions about students are best made closer to the people they affect. However, there should be some sort of coordination between states and the federal government to ensure that students are not limited by the resources in their respective states.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Disagree

Innovation is not limited to one country. If a foreign country wants to assist positive development for our education system, we should not limit the opportunities of our students.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Yes. Parents are the primary stewards of their children’s health, education, and well-being.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Disagree

Children, most of all, deserve love, protection, truth, and careful guidance. I believe major life-altering decisions involving minors should be approached with extreme caution, parental involvement, and a child-first standard rooted in long-term well-being.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

My personal faith teaches that marriage is sacred and ordained by God. At the same time, as a public leader, I serve all people with dignity and equal protection under the law.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Agree

I support expanding gambling as an economic strategy for California families and communities. The current regulations are outdated for our state. There needs to be guardrails in every arena. However, we should look at more ways to be up-to-date in this category.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My faith is the foundation of my life. I believe in truth, service, compassion, personal responsibility, prayer, and the God-given dignity of every person. I believe leadership is stewardship, and I answer first to God, which is why integrity matters so deeply to me.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

We should make voting easy to access but hard to abuse. I support fair election access, but I also support reasonable safeguards that strengthen confidence in the integrity of the vote.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

When based on race, it's too broad to define. There are reparations that should be made based on specific events, not just a blanket of race. More importantly, we should confront inequity and the lasting impact of injustice, but I believe the better path is targeted investment in education, economic opportunity, safe communities, and family stability that creates lasting results.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

Women and girls deserve fairness, safety, and dignity, especially in sports. We must protect women’s sports and private spaces while treating every person with respect and humanity.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

We should be responsible stewards of the environment and pursue practical, effective solutions that protect both our communities and our economy. California needs environmental leadership that is honest, affordable, and workable in the real world.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

We should be honest that growing demand requires dependable sources that can operate consistently at scale, alongside innovation and modernization of our grid.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

It depends on the issue. I would describe myself as a faith-driven, commonsense constitutional conservative who believes in truth, accountability, public safety, economic opportunity, and serving people over party.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The goal should be justice, accountability, safety, and restoration where possible. We must protect the public, support victims, hold offenders accountable, and also address the root causes that keep people trapped in cycles of crime.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Agree

We can't put everything on government, when parents and guardians need to maintain their responsibility in protecting their children. Children should be protected. However, it shouldn't fully fall on government. Government should work with parents, schools, and technology platforms to stop exploitation and hold work to offenders accountable.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

The Constitution and laws of the United States must remain the governing legal framework in our country.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I support common-sense measures that keep guns out of the hands of violent offenders and those who pose a clear danger, while respecting the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens. We need enforcement of existing laws, attention to illegal trafficking, and serious focus on prevention and mental health.
