I will compare this to title IX or political ads, as examples. In both cases there are rules set in place to keep a balance and fairness for both “sides”. I’m in favor of education. If taxpayer funds are sent to abortion providers, from any agency for whatever reason, there would need to be an equal amount sent to the opposing side to keep this equal. I am in favor of education on both sides of a topic.

ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Workers should work their way up the ladder and earn higher rates. For small businesses, min wage hurts them. I’m a fan of less governmental interference. A compromise is a scaled up approach based on years of experience vs immediate min wage.

To eliminate government waste, we need more neutral auditing. Government layers all have redundancies, including that of higher education. Just simple management and some cleaning up will improve waste.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Our country was founded on religious freedom, specifically from the Church of England. We have the right to practice any religion, no matter how unpopular it may be. There is no preferred religion in the U.S. As a Christian, I would never consider restricting any other's beliefs. I would not want schools and our government to push a different religion on my children and, because of that, I would never push my religion on anyone else. Zero religion in schools or govt or equal opportunity.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

I do believe any private company can conduct business with anyone they wish or restrict to anyone. For any governmental service, this should not be an option.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
The government should provide minimal healthcare, such as emergency care. For certain circumstances, the government should have an option for a subsidized option, but any help as this should have a sunset clause and cannot go on in perpetuity.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

I think the United States’ Relationship with Israel is important. But that is the case with all countries. Help and aid to anyone could be an option, but there must be reciprocity, whether now or in the future. This should not be a one way street.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Our country has a clear mechanism to earn citizenship. I am not saying to allow people to stay who are undocumented nor am I saying they must leave immediately. I do feel everyone here, whether properly or not, should now be on the path to citizenship. There needs to be a timeline of say X years where, if you have not completed it by then, there is your warning and then actions might be taken.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

We should not eliminate the US Dept of Education. But, at the same time, our states and communities should have the primary control over how Education is deployed. The role of the US should be more general and in a broad guideline form, rather than micromanaging.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

We cannot stop anyone from funding a private institution, but there should be no foreign funding for public institutions. If this was to take place the more important part is that there needs to be full disclosure so that students and families know. Then, they can make the decision based on the facts.

Parents should have the primary right to direct the child’s health and well-being. Regarding vaccinations, there does need to be rules set that are necessary for the good of all.

Photo identification is more than appropriate to request. I will say exceptions can be made if one is lost, just as the longer process when a lost ID happens when attempting to travel by plane with the TSA.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

We do not have to choose one energy source over another. I am all about choice. I lean more to the current methods are more sustainable for individuals and rely less on a monopolistic energy company, so if I had to choose, that is mine.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
Goal of the criminal justice system is to enforce the laws set by our legislature.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

As mentioned prior, I believe in a true disjointed state and church. Our laws should not be based on religion but on current standards of our society. Whether the Quran or the Bible, no text is 100% applicable to today. We can use the moral ideals and fundamentals from a religion to craft laws, but not to blindly follow something word for word.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I am a proponent of the 2nd amendment. I do feel there needs to be some sort of regulations to make sure no one with major criminal pasts or mental diagnosis are scrutinized a bit more. I am mostly in favor of heavier laws for those who commit crimes with any guns and those who break any gun laws, vs more laws restricting the rights of citizens to possess any guns. I could support a license and possible even a renewal process for safety, but I am not a fan of any bans.
